a lot of towns and locations, rivers, etc. have Native American names. The first time I heard of Shinnicock is when the PGA held the 1995 US Open Golf tournament at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club.

How about this bit of history for you? Some Indians owned slaves. The story goes they held more slaves than the white man. The most prosperous slaveholder was a black woman, and she was just one of many. A local bank in the state of Virginia, after the civil war foreclosed on my widowed gg grandmother's property over a five-dollar debt she couldn't pay. I think I am owed that property back, I have the exact amount owed. Am I entitled to it? You can never right to wrongs of people that did a hundred-plus years ago. The world is full of injustices, deal with it.

Only a European would think that Natives curse their ancestral homelands!! Land is Sacred to all Indigenous peoples and they would never curse their ancestral homelands just to spite the colonizers, that would be like polluting and defiling the person who gave birth to you!!!

Mixing with blacks was actually probably one of the ways the tribe survived … there numbers are still small but would have been none existent if there was no mixed people amongst them . They look tri racial like the mulungeons of the south , but they are a testimony to the history of that land that they want to erase like the fact there was plantations on Long Island and these Indians were enslaved alongside Africans ….,, American history is more than just black and white

There was Indian and African slavery in Long Island a lot of those people are generationally mixed not like within recent times like you try to make it seem , best thing they should do is to declare independence and separation completely from the United States corporation completely

At the end of the last ice age which is called the “Younger Dryas” most of the ice melted. The Glaciers carved out the Great Lakes, rivers & Islands. That’s how Long Island was created. The Shinnecock Natives has always been here! They have burials that date up to the Last Ice Age. That’s why America calls all Native Indigenous people in North America the Clovis people. It’s because of the Arrow Heads 🏹 that they found. An Archaeologist named Jacques Cinq Mars excavated the Blue fish caves in Northern Yukon & found evidence that the Natives lived in North America before the end of the last Ice Age. It was previously assumed by racist & dogmatic American Institutions that there was nobody living in America during the Ice Age. They thought that the Indigenous people travelled on the Bering Strait to the land while the Glaciers were melting. The model was called Clovis first. Jacques Cinq Mars proved that theory to be wrong. He uncovered evidence that Native people butchered wild horses & other animals 24,000 years ago! It Destroyed the Clovis first model that stood for over 50 years! It was huge news 🗞️ the Indigenous people have been here for at least 30,000 years. It’s speculated that they have been here for 100,000 years by American archaeological institutions! This is their land! They’ve been here! Your people just came here 400 years ago! Y’all just came out the Caucus Mountains 🏔️ somewhere between 5,000 years ago. Y’all have been starting Wars In Egypt & the Middle East. Everywhere your people went y’all killed people.
