i can see what happened in production "great! the animation for gurren laggan is perfectly complete! lets fix the others as well" "dude, this thing gets published next month, we don't have the time to do that." "crap.."
that attack with everyone starting from 2:18 up to 3:14 needs an exploding volcano in space as a dynamic kill... :3 yes that volcano is needed for that dynamic kill...
It was never the budget for Wing in the first place. Wing, especially EW, is a staple of SRW; this is TTGL's first SRW appearance (it's decidedly unlikely to make frequent, long-term appearances,) they'd be doing a disservice to everyone if they didn't go all-out.
It's a good thing these games don't take themselves too seriously otherwise they'd have to bend over backwards to explain why the presence of Gurren Lagann doesn't instantly resolve all problems as the Anti-Spirals are literally the only antagonists in its weight class.
Yeah, but remember that in _Lagann-Hen_ that attack was actually defeated by the Anti-Spiral's drill. Also, everything here --including your allies - are also galaxy-sized, so it all balances out.
Funny cause that would be like the BAD END of the game SPIRAL NEMESIS happened What if Z3-2, we play the BAD GUYS and prevent this from happening and save the universe ironically
My guess, though, is that the Getter Emperor and Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann will meet, and then fight. Because the Getter Emperor is actually evil, and Simon generally defeats evil.
Nehfarius Evil would be relative with Getter Emperor. He came to humanity's aid when it went to the stars, only to be attacked, and nearly ended. We don't know Emperor's end goal, only that humanity has seemed to almost deify it, and decided that humanity is meant to rule the universe (ironically causing several races to attempt to go back in time, becoming several of Ryoma's enemies in the past in their attempt to stop Getter Emperor from coming into being).
That last attack is to powerful! TO POWERFUL! Nothing would dream to stand a chance! Team Gurren would single-highhandedly win every war in existence with it!
... I dunno man. You seen the insane stuff that Dis Astranagant packs? yt watch?v=WiH-Q0Pd2tU I don't think the enemy even EXISTED anymore after that attack.
technically there are 2 mechs in fiction more powerful than Chou Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann One would be Getter Emperor from Shin Getter Robo - even though it's significantly smaller (somewhere around the size of Chouginga Gurren Lagann), it has infinite energy output The other would be the final form of Demonbane, which grows to a size larger than its own universe and ends up striding through the *multiverse,* popping individual universes like bubbles as it strides by them
OH DAMN They finally used the STTGL xD Time for Universe-sized Giga Drill Break!! (however, the movie version is much more awesome. But that movie is OTP incarnate, you can't compare xD) I love when Simon puts back the cosmic cape on after the attack though :3
After watching Kittan's... and come to this one... man heheh, there's no turning back... even with tears running down, just yell it out loud... TENGEN TOPPA GURREN LAGANN! WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE!?!?!?!??!?!?!?! .... And when you think this can't be better, Kamina's soul takes form, and deals the ultimate attack... TENGEN TOPPA, GIGA DRILL... BREAKEEEEEEEER!!!!!!
MARK MY WORDS...! This drill, will open a hole in the universe. And that hole will be a path for those behind us. The dreams of those who have fallen! The hopes of those who will follow! Those two sets of dreams weave together into a double helix, drilling a path towards tomorrow! And THAT'S Tengen Toppa! That's Gurren-Lagann! My drill is the drill, that creates the HEAVENS!
Yours is the drill that will break all video games. Imagine getting a well made gurren lagann game where you can be super fast super strong godly Gurren Lagann making everything in an open world game get rekt.
Was there any notable interactions between the TTGL cast and other series casts? The only ones that i remember was ryouma sharing a rivalry with kamina and looking after simon after kamina's death. Kamina getting pissed that the Guren Mk2 had the same name as the Gurren. And the event where the shin getter helped the chouginga gurren lagann transform by overloading it with its getter beam.
forbiddenmkii off the top of my head, kamina had a rivalry with sheryl from macross frontier that turned into a friendship when he rescued her from beastmen that crashed her concert, simon helped motivate and train shinji, and i think the ttgl crew as a whole was friends with the xabungle cast, the king gainer cast, and noriko from gunbuster
+BrosefMengegay WAIT! They tried to make a FUCKING MAN out of Shinji, well that HAD to have gone well, they are freaking Team Dai-Gurren!(How well did it actually go? Did they manage to get Shinji to STOP FUCKING WHINING?)
It's been a while since I played but from what I recall Simon et al. had a relatively small part in Shinji's character arc. I think Noriko from Gunbuster, Akagi from Dai-Guard, and Lelouche from Code Geass interacted with him much more, though there were DLC side stories with the Eva crew and Simon/Noriko and a pretty funny one where he gets told off by Aoi from Dancougar Nova. He does end up being less whiny than the tv show but I don't think the transformation was as notable as in SRW alpha where he hung out with getter crew and became a hot blooded super robot hero.
well fuck that! I bought Lux for the sheer reason of her being an expy of Marisa, and now it seems like I'll be buying Rumble plus the skin all thanks to Gurren Lagann... :3
Anyone know if there is or is going to be an english patch for this one like Z2 had? Seriously, I could care less about the voice language, but I can't read Japanese.
To... erm... Gurren Lagann, since I haven't yet figured out RU-vid's reply system. 1. Not unless you bought a specialized version like I did when I went to Anime Expo. Otherwise it's Japan PS3s only or if you hack your PS3. 2. No, but more or less likely someone somewhere is working on an english patch which will supply english subtitles. 3. The game is a composite of all the series involved meshing into one storyline. The end of the Gurren Lagann series just happens to be the near terminating point for the entire story of Z3.1 (I believe it occurs at Chapter 49 and 50 was the end). Note: Someone correct me if I'm wrong about 3
Echo7099 The PSV version is also region free but only if you buy the physical game, you'll need to reset your PSV and have a Japan-data only memory card in it if you want to buy things of the PSN.
saito alamin Okay, no problem. According to the studio that made the show and movies, Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is 52.8 billion light-years tall, and its Giga Drill is ten times larger still, so 528 billion light-years tall. I don't know how far it travelled, so I'll estimate that: The only time we can get a definitive speed for the Super Tengen Toppa Giga Drill is at 4:01-4:02, when it moves roughly twice its own length across the screen (And further away from the viewer such that its size decreases nearly three-fold, which means it probably went even further than my lazy calculations suggest.). This is a distance of at least 1.056 trillion light-years. Slowing the video down to x0.25 speed and using a stopwatch, I calculated that the STT Giga Drill moved that distance in 0.66 seconds, or about 0.16 seconds in real-time. Now we have to extrapolate that distance so it fits the duration of the attack, which was approximately 12 and a half seconds from launch to impact. This is 78.125 times longer than STTGL needed to clear over a trillion light-years, so we can deduce that, in those 12.5 seconds, the STT Giga Drill moved over 82 trillion light-years. Now, just because I'm bored and feel like including a bonus, let's also calculate how powerful the STT Giga Drill is. The STT Giga Drill is basically a kinetic weapon, meaning it breaks shit by pure virtue of being big and going fast, so we need to figure out how big and fast it is. The STT Giga Drill is a cone that is 528 billion light-years tall. By tracing its shape, I've come up with a rough size estimate: Its height is 150% of its width (about 300 pixels from tip to base and about 200 pixels wide). This means that the STT Giga Drill is about 352 billion light-years wide, giving it a radius of 352 billion light-years/2, or 176 billion light-years. A cone's volume is π x r^2 x (h/3), so the STT Giga Drill has a volume of π x 176,000,000,000^2 x (528,000,000,000/3), or 3.14 x 30,976,000,000,000,000,000,000 x 176,000,000,000, or 17,118,576,640,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 cubic light-years. I can't even pretend to know how much mass this is, but Goddamn it I'm going to try: A light-year is approximately 9.46 trillion kilometers, so a cubic light-year is 9.46 trillion cubed, or 846,590,536,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 cubic kilometers. Now, what is an STT Giga Drill made of? Well, technically it's Spiral Energy, but I don't know how strong that is, so in the interest of fairness I'm going to undersell it quite a bit. We know from its impacts against the Anti-Spiral Giga Drill that it's solid, so the lightest thing it could 'realistically' be made of is frozen hydrogen. It probably isn't, but bear with me: I'm running out of calculators that can handle these numbers. A cubic centimeter of solid hydrogen weighs 0.0763 grams. Extrapolating this to cubic kilometers gives us 76.3 million metric tons of solid hydrogen per km^3. Multiply that by that absurd number of cubic kilometers, and the STT Giga Drill finally has a mass: 64,594,897,896,800,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 metric tons. All we need now is its speed, which we can get from some (comparatively) simple division: 82.5 trillion light-years divided by 12.5 seconds means STTGL can move at 6.6 trillion light-years per second, or over 35.4 million times the speed of light! We're almost there; now we just have to plug those numbers into Einstein's formula for kinetic energy: E = mc^2. The mass, m, is 64,594,897,896,800,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 kg. The velocity, c, is 62,436,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 mps. Plugging that into my biggest calculator gives me E = ([64,594,897,896,800,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000][62,436,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000])^2, or 16,265,468,467,865,662,302,272,789,972,183,040,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. That's how many joules of power are being put out by the STT Giga Drill. If you're having trouble wrapping your head around that, try 1.63 x 10^157. That's the equivalent mass-energy of over 4,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Universes! And the Anti-Spiral STILL managed to overpower it! In summation, Gurren Lagann is *REALLY* fucking hax.
+Inept Swordsman Well DUH, its fueled by PURE HOT BLOODEDNESS and RULE OF FUCKING COOL, I don't think many things can say they run PURELY on Willpower(or that they could destroy the Universe, if not the MULTIVERSE, with one bad move) Also nice Math
ExeloMinish Tengen Toppa EVERYTHING!!! I wish they had GaoGaiGar FINAL in this one, so we could have had a Tengen Toppa Genesic GaoGaiGar, and maybe a Tengen Toppa Goldion Crusher. :D
Vesperitis i would love more if Shin Getter becomes Getter Emperor ... but i read someone imply by dialoges the Getter would becomes as TTGL at some point if keep evolving
SenseiRaisen Simon's spiral power just evolves way too quickly for the universe to handle, he is probably the character that has the most "collosial" power development ever. For Getter they are actually implied to be anti-spiral and perhaps that's why although probably just as powerful, evolves slower than Simon does. Anyway, what's the HP of the Tengen Toppa? XD
MegaMario9001 Interresting... Even the Evangelions and the Gunbuster? Man... I would have loved to see their appearances altered due the spiral energy infusion.
I have 3 questions i hope somebody will answer: 1. Is the game compatible on any ps3? 2. Can you put english subtitles and/or english voices? 3. Can you play the Gurren Lagann story only or something?
It's a shame Super Robot Wars games (outside of the ones with original characters only) never got released outside of Japan due to licensing issues. J-Stars Victory Vs could get past licensing issues, so why not Super Robot Wars? :C
Man, if every super robot wars in the future will have TTGL, I don't know anymore. TTGL will be like, we got this bros. Sit back and relax cause we will be taking care every robot of every size from 1x10^n meters which n will be equal the power of the spiral in them which might be infinite.
Smitty Werben Jaggerman Jensen you make it seem like I am complaining about that when in reality...I will accept that eva did alot of great things to anime but MY GOD i hate shinji
123123s3 I wasn't trying to offend you or anything I was just saying that having the neon genesis evangelion cast without cruel angel thesis as theme songs was bizarre
:( i must play it dammiiiit why dont you bring it to other countrys xD yeah i know copyright business .( anyways its sad that we dont enjoy these games at our countrys
If it were anything other than Gurren Lagann, I would agree with you. But if you've seen the show, you'll know that overkill isn't in Team Dai-Gurren's vocabulary, only "PIERCE THE HEAVENS!"
+Dandy Candy This game would be licensing hell. Too many different companies have the rights to the various anime in the West. And there's still a bunch of series that havent' debuted in the West. It's a miracle J-Stars Victory Burst came over.
