Now that's an excellent comp of footy, congratulations Blues and bucket loads of congratulations to the Brumbies for bringing the game to fort. You better win that finals next week AKL, be cheering for yah💪 #humblebrumbiesfan👊
@@Fat-To-Fit593 nah bro the Blues is straight up going to give the crusaders a 50 piece and raise the first ever Super Rugby Pacific Championship mark my words less gooo the Blues!!!🤣😂🤪
well thank God for that! I'm happy for the Blues who deserved their spot in the final given the way they've played throughout the season - those Brumbies though, damn it was close in the end
@@abdiomar3204 😅😂🤣 in terms of consistency my friend no i don't..but thats just me...i didn't even think they would beat the Chiefs to be honest but they proved me wrong
Ofa the prop, charges down the drop goal attempt then tracks the ball about 20m and wins the ball back driving over the formed ruck..let that sink in. fml Go Blues!
@@major6541 it’s a tough decision but my first picks will be Clarke and telea, AJ lam was sensational but IMO Clarke is a game changer when in form and telea’s to good to leave out, he does all the little things that make all the difference.
happy to witness a team like the blues, super happy to see the brumbies not roll over when the going got tough, so confused why lolesio went for a 40m drop goal with slow ruck speed, no protection and 30 seconds on the clock with a forward pack making gainline carries every time. hold it past the hooter, look for a pen, and if you get nothing, get protection and go for a 20m drop goal
Well, president Obama, you are saying this from the comfort of your keyboard and with plenty of time to think. He had 30 seconds on the clock, a lot of pressure on and a game to win. Those meters you are saying he should have won first before attempting a drop-goal attempt are MASSIVELY difficult to win against a team like the Blues, that won so many turnover balls all night and defended so well and ferociously. I hope that you can enjoy the fact that we had the chance to watch such an amazing semifinal and that Aussie rugby is not dead, on the contrary, very much alive with such a performance from the Brumbies.
@@mauroger86 I understand the pressure that was on and as an aussie i am super happy that rugby is doing what it's doing now, but when i talked about eating metres, they were making gainline carries every play, and lolesio turns it away in order to go for the drop goal, maybe one or two more phases and they don't make it over the gainline, then i understand the shot, but not with no protection and after multiple strong carries
Massive moments not shown in the highlights - Barrett denying them a try in the corner with a dominant tackle, Perofeta holding them up in the in-goal area and Big Red stealing a line-out 5m from Blues' try line. Richie Mounga threw a glove at Beauden yesterday but he responded like the champion he is. Great game for him - huge involvement in both Blues tries, immaculate under the high ball, dominant on defense.
as an aussie watching this, i watched the barrett tackle yelling at banks for not passing, perofeta tackle i wasn't too happy with wright for not passing, but that lineout steal all i could do was watch in amazement - quick lift, accurate, big play in a big moment. well deserved win
@@atapene why do they keep using him when they know he cant kick , he is a waste of space in any team that could b used by a better #10. #`15 should of taken the drop kick.
@@sialehakau1654 lol i think you're serious. Last game against the brums he won the game for them with a droppie. You should focus on other sports you don't know much about rugby
He kicked them the ball that allowed them the two tries in the second half. I dont know about the best 10 because defensively he plays 15 and he did that the best in NZ.
Barrett is the best 10 in the world by far, no player is perfect and as much as the crusader fan girls desperately try to criticise him each week, nothing will change the fact that’s he’s an absolute boss and their boy Mounga will never achieve the same success in the black jersey as him.
@@canesno1fan Barrett was involved in everything tonight, he was by far the most influential player on the field, and looked extremely dangerous every time he touched the ball, if he scored that try and landed the drop goal then that would’ve been one of the best performances from a first five in recent super rugby history.
The fact it was a prop, it made that chargedown the best in the history of the game. EDIT: It was the same prop who was at the ruck following that same chargedown that forced the penalty effectively ending the game. Awesome!
Happy to see that one Aussie team was really competitive this season thats two games lost by 1 point to the Blues, massive improvement form last season which is only good for the competition but rugby overall!
@@fabiov8412 super rugby. Perhaps because it’s exotic? Skill level definitely seems much greater. Also I don’t think the highlights of the games up here are as good, are they? Don’t have time to watch full games
Good game brumbies… you guys tried to throw everything at the boys today , but the best came out on top! 💯… beaudy stood out again but it was a massive team effort by the blues! bring on finals next week 🔵⚪️🔵⚪️
Blues, very very lucky to get away with the score, the brumbies may have shown a bit more application and sharpness , they would have blown through for a clear, concise win to the game.
@@idenhlm yeah we were lucky, but defence wins games… in saying that, brumbies we’re dominant in the 2nd half… just a few decisions they made leading up to full time weren’t so good but credit to the brumbies for giving the boys a challenge… won’t be a different story next week either against the saders
Outstanding game! My heart bleeds for the Brumbies because they certainly put up their hands against formidable opponents. Having said that, I'm all behind the Blues for the final! Cheers from Safferland!
@@johnqueripel2001. What planet are you living on. The Crusaders destroyed the Brumbies in Canberra. It was against the Blues in Canberra in regular season that the Brumbies should have won.
Thats true which explains the mind-freeze of some of these 'senior' players in the brumbies side. As a blues supporter thank you for a 'get-out-of-jail' game. Hopefully they learn and get better for the finals.
@@khankake9576 counts for nothing bro, crusaders know how to win finals. You got crusader man coaching you, you got former hurricane barrett and former crusader lock as well as former warrior rts, hardly call it the blues.
Brumbies played awesome. To their strengths. Found their identity this season. Didn't try anything new but stayed in their lane. They remind me of an English rugby team. Great maul. Great ruck work. And set pieces are gold. Hardluck. My Blues are through. So happy. Heart attack was soon there man haha
Well done to the Blues. Robinson got tons of energy. He deserves ABs call up. I'll prefer Perofeta over Mckenzie. Hoskins over Ardie @8. We need bigger 8. Ardie back to his best position at 7.
Canes fan but it was always going to be a Blues and Saders finals.. Garden Of Eden will be packed. Mounga vs Barrett, Havili and Goodhue up against RTS and Ioane also the battle of the forwards.. This makes for a box office stuff it's gonna be 🔥🔥🔥
Ofa comes thru with a mountainous moment, to sum up his superb domestic season. This game was everything expected, two class teams - no surrender. Have to tip my hat to Beauden whose remarkable career should be reaching its twilight, but you'd never know it from watching him this season. It'll be a 'game of inches' next week, with the teams evenly matched. The Blues developing resolve and gifts against the Crusaders ruthlessness and experience.
I'm a kiwi but even I can admit spear tackles are red cards lol. They've been red cards the whole time I've played, under 9s through to club seniors where head clashes ain't even considered penalties. Brumbies cant complain much though lost the game in multiple ways, way too many missed tackles and the missed conversion.
Very obvious that Lachie Lonergan had secured the ball in the dying stages and the Auckland player didn’t release. Penalty should have been given and Brumbies would have had a shot to win it. Thank the ref he gave a nice little home town decision to get you into the final 😉
Was there at the game with my 2 young kids and bar the rain the atmosphere was awesome, 2 yellow cards at the end and a come back from the Brumbies sure made for some tense moments, but we got the win and earned ourselves a finals against the Crusaders. I’ll take a 1 point win over a loss any day. Oh Ofa was on side when he charged down that kick, pause it at 5:29 and it shows half back with ball in hand ready to pass and Ofa we’ll behind the ruck.
Even when Perofeta missed the first tackle he played well tonight. People are saying next week its Barrett vs Mo'unga but keep it real. Perofeta/Barrett vs Mo'unga more like it.
@@emelia1144 he takes the goal kicking duties over Barrett and runs the Blues second phase. He allows Barrett to play his game by taking over 3/4 of his responsibilities. Before Barrett came back he was leading the team well and still does even with Barrett. Looking at this season alone I think hes earned the right to be considered NZs top playmaker.
The first try was brilliant , no matter how big or small you are , if you do that perfect tackle busting run the way Simone did , you will nearly always score
Agree. First contact with the ground was 100% with his head. 100% a red card. Obviously a Bias Blues Ref controlling the match and ending up ruining it.
Are you seeeeerriiiooous ??!!!?? Where'd that charge down come from???!!!! 🤔 Blues....well hustled!!! Good, gutsy display 👏 Brumbies. The Cantabury Mob await...
@@Skybar23 more like the size of his heart lol Kolbes smaller than him, even DuPont .. and they make bigger tackles. Its all in the commitment to tackle, Lolesio lacks that. I think Edmund for Waratahs should be back up to Quade this year.
Looking at the form of sotutu for past couple of weeks and taking into account injuries my backrow for the all blacks for the first test vs Ireland would be 6-Ioane/Grace 7-Savea 8-Sotutu
This is like a repeat of 2003 Blues won all their games and lost 1 in Dunedin same as this year and their semi was against the Brumbies and final the Crusaders at Eden Park. Going to be a epic game next week Go the Blues
The dropgoal attempt was charges down by a 5 m offside. Changed the game outcome has the initial too strict offside were helpful to keep the blues in short distance....
Who puts together these highlights? Both Brumbies mauls didn’t show the line out, and the first Blues try had a great lead-up that was totally missed. This could be much better.
Astonishing that some Blues fans are claiming the ref as the Brumbies 16th man. Absolutely astonishing. Both yellows, under the current rules, were borderline reds so Blues fans cannot complain about either (rubbish rules, shouldn't be reds but that's how they've been officiated all year). Len Ikitau missed this game because of such rules. To top it all off, Luke Reimer secured the most textbook ruck penalty at the end and O'Keefe (genuine arguments to be made about legitimate bias with him) flat out refused to call it, not to mention Romano then playing the ball on the ground. Blues Crusaders final will be elite and the Blues have been the best over the course of the season, but to say the Blues beat the ref is about as one-eyed as it gets.
