One of the most annoying Pauper decks in existence, Boggles dare to ask what the world would be like if frogs found steroids. #magicthegathering #mtg #mtgcommander #mtgcommunity
Just wanna say, huge shout out to both mald for putting the tourney together and to the community members who donated 153$ dollars of their own money to the prize pool. Y'all some goddamn good people.
funkin love pauper. had a pauper deck i used to take to FNM and win (occasionally). there is nothing, i repeat NOTHING, better than watching some 200$ net-deck pilots face when they realize theyre gonna lose to a 10$ pauper infect deck.
Disappointed that you didn't explain why hexproof is especially broken within Pauper. After all, just cast spells that affect it without targeting it, right? However, there is no boardwipes in pauper, so that workaround just does not exist
Correction: there aren't any *good* boardwipes in pauper. Breath Weapon and cards like it still exist, but they aren't, y'know... good. Still, 2 mana to everything at instant speed is reasonably solid when the absolute biggest bois are 4/4s or something
Put the Pants on the Frog! My personal favorite pauper deck is a ludicrous combo, sending a zombie goblin to their first day of wizard school then having a miner repeatedly murder them until you can have their mom find their mutant cousin to murder you
what the... I used to play this deck... I used different enchantments though, I think I went simic - which is different but still op - remember that enchantments can still be targeted on a hexproof creature, counters however, are safe.
When I ran a selesnya tron deck I would bring in selesnya charm to flash in a token creature to sacrifice to edict effects. Though with sheoldreds edict that is a little less valuable.
Honestly my duderino, you have got to be my favorite content maker on RU-vid. I still laugh at the videos I rewatch because they way you articulate yourself is amazing. Stay beautiful and toxic
In my house we treat the pauper banlist like the council's decision. Signed, an OG izzet blitz player (WHY DID THEY BAN MY WHOLE FUCKIN DECK AAAAAAAAAAAAA)
Day 5 of asking for Jin-Gitxias, Progress Tyrant. Player’s who play this guy only give a zero percent tip at restaurants, before deciding to just not pay the money.
The Office Depot employees probably all know you by heart with all that printer paper you're going through for your bits. Though I guess you had to do something with all that money you saved by playing pauper.
I am running mana tithe in my boggles build. Just a single copy. There's a part of me that feels satisfied from countering somebody's spell when I am not even running blue.
The best thing about Pauper is that I can run full power Tron with all the good support cards just to power out a disgusting number of big dumb stupid vanilla beatsticks and it somehow be a viable strategy. What're they gonna do, board-wipe me? 😂
From what I have seen, Selesnya Auras (a.k.a bogles) is one of the most expensive decks in the current meta to build due to the price of both Slippery Bogle and Ancestral Mask. So it is fun, but expensive to build in paper. I wonder where Dimir Reanimator is at though. Between Striped Riverwinder and Greater Sandwurm, there are plenty of good reanimation targets.
I don't believe it is the most expensive. I believe it is one land spy. This is due to it running lotus petal, simian spirit guide, various rituals, manamorphose, tinder wall, dread return and other spells you cast for free.
@@TeaAddict1 I will take your word for it. I said one of the most, not the most, so I hope there is no misunderstanding. It seems that MBD (Mono Black Devotion) never sees the light of day, nor do Golgari Dredge and or Orzhov Soul Sisters see much play in the current meta, and, as a more recent newcomer to MTG (5 months at most), these are a bit more interesting than Dimir Terror and Mono Red Burn, which dominate the meta right now.
@@TheMeditatingRaven dimir terror does not dominate the meta (Though mono red burn will never stop being a top deck) at the moment the dominant deck is azorius affinity. Other ones are holding a strong foothold such as golgari control and mono blue tempo.
@@TheMeditatingRaven it's still a meta deck but less favorable especially thanks to a huge amount of graveyard hate and control decks. It's also often outpaced thanks to all that glitters.
Yes pauper! The best format in magic. No planeswalkers, high interaction, no unconditional sweepers, a diverse mega game, cheap af, and longer games all about fighting tooth and nail for every little advantage.
Started building a boggles deck when I saw the all that glitters downshift, ended up building it just to run one of the silliest sideboard card in equinox (yes, there is a ponza player at my store).
in florida meth frogs are certianly a thing but not exactly what i would call a threat other than to poor people, but i guess that's why they thrive in pauper
@@maldhound that's really cool! My adhd ass can't handle cockatrice as a platform so I'm staying out of this but I fully support this!! Be ready for disputes when dealing with non automated simulators-
I may end up adding a whole damn color to my deck for this tourney just to try and improve my odds against this godforsaken strategy. Then again, I'm running Affinity, so I probably deserve to lose.
Bogles cost me a modern RCQ back in 2019. I beat everything else, save for the one jund player, I even beat hogaak (the most popular/powerful deck at that time) but I lost to bogles.....the jund player that beat me also had a loss (there were no undefeated players, but he beat me on tiebreakers because he beat the bogles player. I hate bogles to this day!
