Just so you know the “stripes” are made when the mower folds the grass in the direction you mow… so when you go back and forth it and look at it in the light it creates a giant optical illusion making it seem striped

Drae tip for making your lines look better: don’t correct for curves try and go in as a straight line as possible if you have to start out a little bit away from the edge of the grass to account for a curve further down, do so. If this makes any sense it’ll make it look much better in the end

Drae, want it to look real spiffy? start by doing an outline or 2 around a perimeter than go straight diagonally from a corner to another corner THEN start doing the zero turn lining and youll get those nice baseball field diagonals ;)

It’s way easier and faster to have a reacher and a bucket on your mower so you can just pick up any trash/obstacles as you go along. This post was made by Hustler Mower Gang

I work on Scag and Bad Boy mowers daily and to see him struggle in game with the zero turn, it makes me enjoy watching people do it IRL🤣🤣

I actually sell most of these mowers for a living, seeing the way this game works i think the Stiga Park Pro 540 is the next best step. Front end mower with easy reach, short turn radius and not that expensive. I don’t see how a massive Toro mower wil make this any easier.

Never heard it called tiger stripes before we called it light and dark stripes when I worked at my golf course, also for anyone who cares it’s a roller behind the blades that makes the lines, very satisfying when cutting large areas and I really mean it 😏

Love the video btw I'd recommend doing 2-3 laps in the perimeter when mowing then start to do the stripes. Makes it a lot easier and makes it easier to make the nice shapes

They should add weed eating/wacking. There should also be clumps if the grass is long, and strands. Making it so you have to double cut or even triple cut to make it look good. Also make the ground softer so if you go to turn the 0 turn you have to turn around properly so you don't rip the grass up. Also make the lawn bumpier for more realism.

So in real life you'd probably trim around the corners and buildings and trees with a string trimmer... I dont know if this game offers you the ability to get one but it'd save a lot of bump ins.

Tip for cutting stripes from an actual landscaper use the front tires of the mower as a sight to keep your lines straight. Run it straight down the edge of your previous stripe.

I do this for a living, ride a hustler zero turn, you're lucky you don't have to edge/ weed wack/ or blow off lol

Hi Drae. Yup...do the HQ. Your vid brought back memories of my early teens cutting the family lawn, back in the sweet sweet 80's. Dad bought (for me) a Deere riding mower to cut our acre back yard (Mesa Arizona). Sitting on that mower, I was Phil Mahre, slaloming that big green bad boy around the orange, tangerine and grapefruit trees. It was a BLAST! Dad, a year later, had a 50m, 14' deep pool put in...totally screwed my lines as a few trees had to be removed. A couple years later mum put in her freakin' rose bush garden...followed by a conservatory/greenhouse in the year next. The 90's came in and the mower finally gave out. Upgraded...the fun had now become a labor of work! Football practice and girls took up my spare time...and that GD miserable circus of a backyard! What a pain to mow...sigh. My senior year... dad bought a full size Great Dane for the backyard! JFC! What was wrong with this man?? Is it any wonder that upon graduating, I took my football scholarship to an out of state university instead of local ASU? Dad sold that house 3 months(!) after I left...probably could not find a poor slob to mow that yahoo yard for free. So thanks for bringing back some really good times! 🐈

To mow a straight line irl, look at the end of the row you are cutting and pick something that is at the end and aim for it. Looking down is what causes crooked lines. Hard to explain but

I use to mow with my old man growing up. It makes it easier to mow if you go around twice. Making turning around easier. As well as when you get to trees. Or any object. To go around it once first so you don't have to worry about getting really close to it a bunch

The engine overload is silly and nonsensical, that would break immersion for me. You can't really overload an engine, they have governors and rev limits for a reason.

I really have to get a controller if they don't fix the speed problem! The first one you did with 30 min. Took me 76 min, because I don't have the controller and the easy way to lower the speed was by going backwards 😑

God....what next. We have had so many "Simulator" games out over the last several years. Job Simulator, Goat Simulator, Farm Simulator, Car Mechanic Simulator, Truck simulator, Police Simulator, Thief Simulator...... I think they are starting to wear out the word Simulator.
