Don't make it more complicated that it needs to be! Changing colors without a jog line is as easy as a slip stitch!

Can you cut the white color after you had a join of other yarn?

How do you change colors when the first stitch of your next row is either an invisible decrease or increase?

Hello! Thank you so much for this! I was just wondering one thing. Let's say I'm working with a colour and have a stitch count of 18 in this round. So I come to the last stitch and finish it of with a new colour. Then I slip stitch to the first stitch of the next round and work around with the new colour. But let's say I want to change colour again after just one round. Do I change the colour as I did previously, so by finishing of last stitch with new colour and then going into the slip stitch with the new colour? Or do I change the colour first after making a single crochet into the slip stitch with the previous colour?

I would recommend doing an sc in the slip stitch of the previous round so that there is still a one stitch distance between the beginning of your last round and your next round.

Yes use the slip stitch method but keep in mind that that stitch is missing a stitch (18 total in your case) sc into that same slip stitch to make up for what was slipped and makes your count right as you work the round.
