Matt + Steve, very clean and neat look that could also have been done early to mid 50s! I was there and saw a lot of rods and customs in my just north of Baltimore neighborhood. There were 38-39 radiator mount headlight cars with both front fenders off, single bar spinner hubcaps and 49 Plymouth ripple bumpers on whatever they would fit! Tail draggers with skirts were big as were 53 Olds V8s in late 30s early 40s Fords and Mercs. There were a lot of stock Model As but Ts in any form were rare. My favorite car mag was Honk with Hot Rod in 2nd place. That 38 rear came out great! Mega Kudos!

Doesn't PA require illumination on the rear license plate at night? If so, where will it go?

@@charlesyoung7436 what I did on my 1939 coupe was use license plate bolts with LED's in them that reflect the light across the plate. When not lit just look like regular bolts. Matt probably has an antique light to use.

I hung my plate underneath on cabinet hinges with a thin strip of rubber sheeting on the bottom of the plate bracket in case it hits something and gets flipped upward to clear the object. My bracket has a built in plate light and brake light. Plus on those rare occasions your screaming up the eway at a buck thirty the wind passing under the car flips the plate up so the people you piss off by flying by can't read it. 👊🤣👍 p.s. Steve you look ten years older and Square ! I cut my hair off last year and sorry I did so I'm letting it grow back out

All the cars we did we used Napa paint used to be martin senior (sherwin williams) but switched to valspar where able to make the color I wanted which was nice. Price is expensive but everything is I think in total it costed me around 2200 and I used a harbor freight paint gun in the garage

Looks neat. Any thoughts on a license plate light? You can get lighted license plate bolts or just an accessory light. I think you would need that for the inspection. The 38 is really coming together.
