quick question do u have to animate the chains one by one?

As in each chain? no - Create a beam with the chain texture - have the beam start at the weapon and attach to an invisible part - add another beam from the invisible part onto ANOTHER invisible part - repeat (the more beams = more realistic) - finally, a beam from the last invisible part to the hand this way, moving the parts around is what creates the bend in the chains
