@@blankets5782 Disney has a bigger reputation for not allowing anyone else to have anything to do with anything they have legal rights over and as such was probably not even something they could get within the small timeframe of Smash 4's final DLC Character. Nintendo has negotiate with Disney on how to include Sora in Smash in a way that's acceptable to the House of Mouse. It's probably why Donald, Goofy and any other Disney character that isn't originally from Kingdom Hearts doesn't appear anywhere and the Sora's Final Smash features a door with the Smash Logo instead of a Disney Logo. Bayonetta however, is a character already within Nintendo's sphere of influence and as such, nearly zero requirements or hardships to acquire the rights to include in Smash 4, apart from SEGA's small input. Since you know, Bayo 2 was exclusive to Nintendo as well as Bayo 3. Nintendo also has good relations with Platinum Games based upon Bayo 1 port, Bayo 2 and Bayo 3 exclusivity and Astral Chain being on Switch.

What I appreciate that no one seems to acknowledge, is that enough people took the ballot seriously enough to request a legitimate video game character they really wanted, and that choice made it to the top, which was Sora. Sora’s originated from a video game, so that made him a possible contender. The biggest catch was he was owned by Square Enix and Disney. At least joke ballots like Shrek or Goku didn’t reach number one. That would’ve been a slap to the face for Sakurai, since those two are not video game related whatsoever.

+Enrique Rico I'm still in shock we got DLC at all, given Sakurai's opinions toward it. And not just DLC, but freaking legendary third party characters like Ryu, Cloud, and Bayonetta, along with a bunch of other fan-favorite Nintendo characters.

I am happy with it too. I love how Lucas, Mewtwo, and especially Roy were brought back into Smash. When the leaks last year showed Dr. Mario was back I hoped that dlc was possible to bring back some vets. I didn't expect Ryu or Cloud to be added and I love their additions. I preordered FE: Fates Special Edition and hope it is good as it will be my 1st FE game if I don't get Awakening by the time of it's release. As for Bayonetta? That is my 3rd favorite franchise. (Behind Xenoblade at 1. and Smash at 2.) People are salty, I kinda am at no Ice Climbers but in comparison to what they added, I think we got much more than what we deserved.

Cristian Hernandez I was in the same boat as you until I got one of the Fire Emblem games and gave it a try, I used to just love the characters in Smash Bros. for their own sake. But now that I've actually played the Fire Emblem games and gotten into the series, I love them all even more now. You should give the Fire Emblem series a try sometime, in my personal opinion it's one of if not *the* best Nintendo series out there. The gameplay is fun and all of the characters are really awesome. Definitely something I'd very highly recommend. The best games to start out on would probably be either Awakening (where Robin and Lucina are from) or Fates (where Corrin comes from).

Because, Pokemon are cool. We needed one Pokemon for each type. (fire, water, electric, etc) Corrin was put in simply for advertising, since it's been a while since a Fire Emblem game came out.

MeadowSin corrin is a unique character there's nothing wrong with him joining. Also smash is often used for advertising different games, it's nothing new
