I had been planning to do this very thing and was waiting for the right score. Your video inspired me to get at it. On Facebook Marketplace I got a smaller craftsman radial for free. So soon a permanent fretting station coming up. I already have the blade and was using it on my table saw with a jig, but this will let me cut from the top. I have a number of pre-radiused fretboards that now will get frets. Thanks for your vid!
@Dennis Boyce I originally did have the blade intalled backwards, unintentionally. I use it installed correctly and it cuts the same. If you pull the saw toward you it is a climb cut but it cuts with very little pull. You could start from other end and push through and it would be more conventional. I wouldn't want to reach around the blade to reposition the FB though.
