All the markings line up when on the rail. I would buy them for that. If they have got that attention to detail, chances are they have got everything else right.
I have the astros and man they come in super handy. But I have found is that I tend to go more to the vim flex head ratcheting wrenches as they are even slimmer. I know you’re not supposed to break a bolt/nut loose with them but I do 😅
I'll have these in 3/8 & 1/2 inch drive soon. Been waiting on a well thought out set to become available. I almost bought the Quinn sets from hf but, decided to wait because I've seen some people having trouble with cracking at the corners on the hex. I'd like to see a comparison between the Olsa, the Quinn, and Astro.
Probably from same factory as Astro. I have both 1/2 and 3/8 from Astro. Unfortunately Astro doesn't sell the wrench that used to have 17 and 22 combo so the 1/2 inch is somewhat useless while the 17 inch ratcheting wrench long handle is available from time to time which I have. Hopefully they read this and offer it eventually.😢
@Olsatools hoping to have a 1/2 inch aka 22 mm same long as the 3/8 Astro with 17 mm hole so there is enough moment arm. I think also a 1/4 inch version as well.
Astro tools has the same socket set plus the NANO Ratchet which actually retains the sockets. All other box ends wont retain the socket, not without external attachments.
Because of your video I just ordered the SAE and Metric sizes online. How well do the sockets stay in a box ratcheting wrench like your Snap On? Loose?
That's a nice set.. ICON has the same set..I think y9u can get the extended set from Astro..( and the complimentary wrench that locks em in to turn them into a zero offset wrench).. maybe Capri also has the extended set too... 1:45.. grab the bolt with this and if it has a nut use a wrench..encapsulates the whole bolt head and zip em off ..,they work great
Chrome Molibeeedium. I've got the Astro Nano's in Torx, 3/8 &1/2 and some Capri's. But I believe many of these particularly if on the nice aluminium rails all come out the same Taiwan factory. The Astro's style have sourced by a number of tool co's from tool trucks to Hf under the Quin brand. Some really good deals for excellent quality if U know where to look. I love them on my Facom Nano NS1600f pneumatic impact.
those are especially nice, just how to get in uk / europe is the thing for certain audience members like myself... pretty gutted if they never gets across to here! but then is the capri tools stubby set as an alternative (can import those ones thru the amazon usa)
Hello again, Doc Thank you for another Great Video 👍 Question for you. Have you or anyone else compared these styles of sockets? I would think there's a lot here in the use ability department? Again thank you 👍
This would have been my perfect set. We needed 10-24mm, and i could never find a 3/8 24mm stubby. No skip too? We use 24mm stuff on ball valves and pump flanges, so everybody had to buy separate sockets and wrenches for it.
I have the Astro set, but wish I would've known that harbor freight would have it, too for less and with lifetime warranty. Does this one have lifetime warranty?
Various ways to create clips to hold those on a 17mm wrench, or the astro nano wrench. Vids on youtube about it. These types of low profile sets have been around under the astro nano name.
@@andrewscott8892Astro is 6-24mm so it has 2 more sizes. I do like the olsa laser etched size label more than astro. Olsa is $45 and Astro is $63 for the 2 smaller sizes. Same factory making these for sure.
@@billyboyd418 you can get the Astros in 8-19, husky had the 8-19 as well but I don't think home Depot is going to carry them any longer they went on clearance a while back
Astro is 6mm-24mm no skips... Olsa is very late to the game with these. There are at least 5 other brands that have had these out for years. Astro is still the goat though!!
