In 2012, in my brothers RV, in Santa Rita, Southern NM, I made contact all the way to WA. Good solid 59 contact both ways for 5 minutes. I have the older version too.

The quality of the New Super Antenna is better than the Wayne's previous version (due to chinese mfg) but performance is similar. Nice build of a base. order extra whips as they will bend if the wind pushes it over

Tony do you need the coils for VHF or just the whip/collapsible antenna?

I no longer have it, but if I remember correctly, no, you don't need the coil- just the whip.

i use the coil on 6 meters but i guess you won't need it on 2 meters

Most of my DX experience with this antenna was the Caribbean and Canada.
