Tony...can the CHIRP software transfer frequencies FROM memory to a BANK? I have thee R.T. Systems software and it CANNOT move a memory frequency to a BANK. That can ONLY be accomplished MANUALLY using the FT-60 keypad. Is that the same procedure with the CHIRP software?? Many thanks and 73!
My SWR on "2m" was 1.05, which is pretty dang perfect enough. 70cm was less impressive, closer to 1.7 or 1.8 if I remember. Shouldn't be that high although I guess it's "less than 2" so I will just shrug and get on with life. I only tested it once and had it up close to some branches so 70cm may have been affected. I should do some more testing. Testing is fun.
I’ve set everything up according to this video and I’m not getting anything heard on AGW. My radio is receiving packets but it’s not hearing it at the computer.
Unfortunately these 70 year old eyes are not as sharp and I don't have a magnifying glass. I tried jewelers screwdrivers and none of them seemed to turn anything, didn't feel like I was getting it in the slot. Do you remember if it takes a slotted or Phillips or some other sort of screwdriver? de WB8BHK

Very nice review, I agree with everything - except one point: You can turn WIRES off in a menu, and use the 0 button as a means to play a DTMF sequence (for echolink).

In the 1950s and 60s, "Lamp Cord" like this was frequently used for antennas. You have seen 450-ohm ladder-wire and 300-ohm twin-lead? Well, this is 75-ohm twin-lead. Separate it and pull it apart to make your half -wave dipole and use the remainder as your feedline. 75-ohm is close enough to 50-ohm, but you can also use an antenna tuner/matcher to get it dead on 50 ohms if you like.
One thing I like about the Talentcell banks, is that you can buy multiple of the same model and connect them in series to double or triple the overall capacity. I have a couple of PB240A1 that are rated at 22400mah and 82.88wh, and I use them to power about 600 addressable LEDs, each battery runs the LED strips at 90% brightness for about 3 hours, or 6 hours combined if I connect the power banks together. Not bad for $60 each and a small and attractive form factor. When buying power banks that are $50+, I always buy the 4 year warranty on Amazon for around $10... In my experience, power banks in general rarely last 4 years, and sometimes only a few months, so I personally recommend a cheap extended warranty when you purchase one.
The Wilson 1000 is supposed to take up to 1000 watts. Actually, 3000 watts (according to Wilson anyway). So don't worry about your 50 watts. I'm planning to use my radio's max wattage of 100 - and not worrying about it.
During my flight to Oshkosh some years ago my, after stopping for Customs and Immigration we had another 2 hours of flying. I was bombarded with contacts and some reached out to me with messages. It was great, since I wasn't flying it gave me something to do. VE3BEO

Question; on your CHIRP screen at the top under file, edit it says Yaesu FT-60: (Untitled)* When I downloaded CHIRP my screen says Yaesu FT-60_20231008.img* Why are they different? Did I download CHIRP wrong? Just wondering! Great video!
This IS Super COol, I Have A Baofeng (BF-S5 Plus) Plus That I Want To make Into Base Station, The Battery Went bad, Can`t Find Any battery Online For Cheap And I Tried To Fix It With The Ecigs Batteries And That Didn`t Go As Well As I Thought, The Battery Overcharged And Bursted Into My Face, It Was Charging Seperatly On Table On The Usual Baofeng Station Stand Chargers, And I Started ToS o8und Hissing Noises, I Picked The Battery Up AndIt Was Super HOT! I Put It At My Face To Listen Closely And It Blow Up In My Face With All The Flames And Acid From The Batteries, So I Have NO Battery Shell Even, Now I Will And Want TTo make A Basestation, But I Don`t Know How To Make It 100% Good You Know, Your Video Helped Me In A BigW ay :)

Sure, go ahead and program your $150 Yaesu with free software. Just be aware that Yaesu has said they won't repair radios that are bricked by using Chirp.

I stumbled across this video of yours and was quite impressed how far you spoke with from a mobile 10 meter radio. I am thinking of getting into 10 meters, I was wondering what kind of radio you were using here? And is it just 10meters or you were using SSB too?
