One of my favorite pieces of trivia for this movie is that they basically picked Chris Mintz-Plasse(McLovin) because during the auditions, the way he acted ACTUALLY infuriated Jonah Hill. So they were basically like "not only do we HAVEEEE to do that....but its perfect for the two characters" lmfao.

Theres nothing worse than watching a comedy movie with someone who questions every little thing like they dont know its a silly kind of comedy. So annoying. Also, this dynamic between these 2 during the movie is why dudes like having our own spaces. He couldnt even be honest.

I remember going to the theater Friday night and there was like 20 kids from my high school there. We were in 10th grade so we weren't old enough to buy tickets, so we all bought tickets to Rush Hour 3 and then snuck into Superbad. It's the only movie I've ever been to where the theater was so packed I didn't sit with the people I went with, and people were standing in the back because there weren't enough seats.

Saw this in theaters right before my senior year of hs started. Iconic. Left school early the day it released and bought the dvd 😅

Fun facts about Superbad- 1) Seth Rogen’s dad makes an appearance in the film as the dad that throws a baseball bat that hits Jonah Hill in the back when “Seth” jumps the fence out of his yard. 2) Seth Rogen’s mom wrote McLovin’s ending. The sex scene and him being taken away in handcuffs by the cops and his iconic “Wait for me Nicola” line. 3) Actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse(McLovin) was 16-17 during filming, thus being the only of the fictional high-schoolers that was actually underage. Jonah Hill(23) was the oldest. 4) Plasse’s mom was LEGALLY REQUIRED to be on set during the filming of McLovin’s sex scene with Nicola, due to him being underage. 5) Jonah Hill did not like Christopher Mintz-Plasse(McLovin), and hated working with him initially. 6) The “Superbad” script was first written 11 YEARS before it debuted in 2007 back in 1996. 7) The original draft of the “Superbad” script was written on Microsoft word. 8) Seth is named “Seth”, and Evan, “Evan” because the characters were based on THEMSELVES. 9) The inspiration came from seeing a terrible movie that had an unrealistic depiction of what school was actually like in the 90’s. 10) Seth Rogen wanted to play the role of “Seth” but felt he was too old by the time the script was done 7 years later. 11) If not for Talledega nights being a huge success, Superbad AND Pineapple Express may have never been made at all. 12. Emma Stone’s SIGNATURE red hair is actually a fugazi, as she is a natural blonde. Superbad was the first (of many) roles she died her hair red for.

This movie was the movie of the year for every senior that graduated in 2007 like my brother and his peers. In my high school, the girls were so shallow, they wouldn't acknowledge guys like me if we didn't have a ride of our own.

I remember when I was in high school we talked like this all the time. Girls too. So I feel it's not unusual.

This react with her feels like when you’re a teenager watching a rated R movie with your mom for the first time. You sit there awkward asl, like waiting for her to laugh first so you can also laugh. But if she wasn’t there you’d be cracking up every 2 minutes. Watch the amount of times he waits to see/hear her laugh before he laughs himself.

So according to Marie if a guy has never touched a girl he is allowed to behave like Seth 😅 behaving like Seth makes the girl ask you out in the end😂

If you watch this again you can see the moment the cops decide to mess around with Fogel. In the Liquor store looking at his fake ID one leans over with a smirk and whispers something.

I saw this in theaters when it came out and the theater was pretty much empty. It flew under the radar. It's one of the few movies that I was actually in years laughing. And watching it with you guys, I'm in tears again. It's a classic. Glad they never made a part II and ruined it. The scene where Fogal shows his fake ID with McLovin on it has to be one of the funniest scenes ever in cinema.
