@Kytrex It is true. My Macbook Pro 15" 2017 is the worst laptop I've used. Fully specced out and it keeps on running into problems such as graphics issues, blacking out and keyboard issues. It has been in and out of the apple service centre every 3 months. It is a CrapBook Pro. Pro at being a piece of crap. Dell XPS however is like a dream compared to the crapbook pro.

@@nekushabaroon8773 I use it mainly for work and not gaming. I came to this video because my Macbook is constantly overheating. Work = Video editing on Premiere Pro & FCPX, AE, PS, AI and Motion.

He has no idea how to do proper testing. That's all there is to it. I feel sorry for the people who actually took this seriously.

Overheating its all bout temp . And that causes the fps drop .. youre confused because you cant research anything by yourself

@@NimitzclassA No because the computer regulates its own temperature to avoid it from overheating by limiting the performance. The guy literally started by explaining the logic behind the testing.

Yes but even more so if the laptop dissipates heat through its casing. Or has vents on the bottom but few do because they are always clogged.

From my experience with my ASUS FX503 gaming laptop, it does make a difference.... SPOILER ALERT, the FAN does SHIT ALL. It's actually the pad lifting the laptop up into the air, giving it better airflow that does it. So yeah, I just got a cheap one and put my fan on overboost mode.

Narotam Deol i think the max it should reach with celcius is 115 so you should be good as long as you dont over clock it too much and you clean out the vents with compressed air every once and a whule you should be fine

Corvus Clemons thanx for for help ,but I have returned it got msi ge 63 instead it never go above 80 degree Celsius,,without undervolting

dont listen to corvus, yes the throttling limit for it is high but any hardware running at 90c is going to slowly degrade at a quicker rate versus something running at 70c. anything above 80 is already pushing it to me. i dont ever feel safe unless im gaming under 80c. I have the same asus so i know it has a bit of a design flaw with the air vents, it doesnt cool properly on its own and needs external support. i use a coolpad and it knocks about 5-18c depending on what game im playing. Skyrim runs at max with hd textures and mods at 57-65c. Dark Souls 3 was a problem for me, without Cooling pad it would hit 90c after 15mins of play, and it was at 85c the whole time before that. with the cooling pad it allows me to actually play the game and stay at 75-82c. still a bit high but better than before. hands down, the asus GL models have terrible cooling. Use external support, pair a Cooling pad and a thermal vacuum for max cooling.

He even explained why in the video and he's completely right. In any case - cooling pad or not - the CPU is going to reach the temperature of 72°C at full load. What happens at that threshold is that the CPU will reduce its clock speed (which is in almost linear relation to the frames per second in a CPU-based video rendering) to prevent overheating. So measuring temperatures at full load will yield the same result every time: 72°C. With more efficient cooling the average clock speed over a specified amount of time under load (e.g. the video render) is going to be higher. So looking at the FPS is perfectly rational - unlike looking at the same temperature threshold each time.
