@@alphonsocrumity8023 Nice. My first one was a '15 auto with just under 70K miles I scored for really cheap so the deals are definitely out there. My current one I found on an online auction site for collector cars.
Sweet sweet car man! I love the build and once I saw the manual it made me even happier! It sounds a but like your clutch is slipping though especially when you ran the f150. Which if it's the stock clutch with you pushing out over 700 wheel that would make sense lol
Lol thanks. And probably so. My clutch is definitely the weakest link in my setup. I think it's wheel spin too tho. Worst part about my clutch is that weird clutch point that's unachievable with the stock spring.
Nice video. New to your channel. I just purchased a '17 SS manual about a month now. I got rid of my '17 Camaro and '06 GTO. The SS is the best of the Camaro and GTO combined.
10:07 that be so me I’ll pull up beside a car especially if you are in a sports car something fast knowing my car is slow or whatever knowing I’m gonna lose but to me is like this you got a fast car I wanna see how fast it really is that’s how I am and I’ll still try and get someone to race me or cut up. With me it’s a hobby for me
How often do you get tried in this car? when mine was working literally everyone and their mom tried to race me, and they usually lost bc they cant drive lmao.
Good question. I'd say it's hit or miss. Many days I go cruise and no one will look my way. Then there's days I'm minding my own business, and some diesel truck or some JDM cars will fly by me. Hardly have I ever had a chance to go up against someone in my weight class. No hellcats, no ZL1's nothing. But then again its only been about a month since it's been dialed in and I only drive it like once a week.
@@rylordrylord7347 but at the same time, I’m a car enthusiast as well and love to see other cars get on it. So I do think… well maybe they wanna see me get on it lol. So I give them a very quick show.
I’m a mopar guy but I’ve always loved the Chevy SS and I absolutely loved the way the ford F-150 thought he was ahead then you that SS reeled him back in 😂😂
They wanna try it because they think its a "sporty" Malibu. That's why I love it so much. By the time they realize they were wrong, they're smelling exhaust.
@@TRAYSPELLING I'm not sure yet, I know that they are highly customizable. I let my gf test drive it for her channel: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-klbXJ91K2Oo.html
@@stlfor3alhustla At the bare minimum, I’d atleast do longtube headers. This car needs to sound like it has a V8. It makes the driving experience 10 times better take my word for it.
@@deshaunbradley5302 Most that I came across had really low miles, less than 50k(mine had 24k). They seem to hold there value really well. Expect to spend anywhere from 37k to 50k. The insurance on this is actually not to bad. I'm paying about 130$ a month full coverage.
Man if I could I’d trade my Silverado for an SS but I love my truck. It too has a 6.2 8 speed. And the other day some lady tried my in my truck took her to gapplebees. Really glad it wasn’t an ecoboost she probably would of had me but we were both cool about it having a good time. She rolled down her window and said nothing like Chevy power!
I had a 2.7 Eco just a year or so ago and I’ve hurt some feelings in that thing. The way he aggressively got behind me, I’d say that truck had the confidence of a vehicle that has hurting some feelings in the past and thought I was the next victim. My guess is that it was ATLEAST tuned.
@TRAY SPELLING ordered it last week. Should be to me end of this week. Still need to get clutch but that's the last thing. Got aux pump, injectors, etc.
@@sojuanturentine8430 lol I know. I’ve put so much money into this thing and finally got to a checkpoint that I’m getting lazy about putting more money it. I still need tires, gauges, and a few appearance mods while we’re at it.
Thanks! And no I haven’t. I’m torn between ordering some tires that can fit the stock 19’s like Continental ExtremeContacts or Nittos….OR should I find an aftermarket 18 wheel to be able to get a bigger piece of meat under there… maybe Mickey Thompson. I’m open to suggestions lol
@TRAY SPELLING If you're looking for a great set of daily driver tires on the stock wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S is gonna be the best option. They're gonna have a higher milage warranty, starts at a 9/32nd tread depth, very good in the rain, and I was so surprised at how well they hook. During the summer when I raced my friends Viper, I was able to do a 2nd gear 40 roll and not spin. Totally shocked the hell outta me. I has the ExtremeContact DWS06+ on my Jeep SRT8, and they're great tires, but it was AWD so I can't really comment on traction for a RWD car. Everyone was saying the PS4S hooks just as well as the R888R, but have more tread and are great in rain. And not as noisy.
@TRAY SPELLING But if you're gonna get a 2nd set of wheels, either Mickey Thompson ET Street SS or R. Or I've heard the Nitto NT05R and Nitto NT555R2 are good. Don't get the Nittot NT555G2, those are junk and don't hook for shit.
@@69Ford429 Hey man I appreciate the advice. I had Nitto's on my 01 Mustang GT along time ago lol. But for sure, once I figure out what I'm going to do I'll take this advice. I'm leaning towards a new wheels honestly.
I got it because I wanted maximum cooling. But if you do like me and pair it with an OTR CAI, you will run out of room. I currently have no washer fluid reservoir.
@@TRAYSPELLING Y'all need to get on this corn gas in the midwest. You'd pick up an easy 50+whp. Great content as always. Really enjoyed the walk around and the cruise.
I have. I've beat all those handily. Even beat a 5.0 Mustang in the '15 SS I had before this one that only had headers and suspension. I did not have cameras mounted in my car just yet so it's a little action that's been missed out on. Stock for stock, the SS can NOT beat a 5.0 mustang or a 6.4 hemi dodge. But my setup now, I've already whooped up on those cars you've mentioned. Just waiting to come across a Hellcat now lol.
Sorry if i missed it in the video but how mutch hp does it make now and if you tested it,what youre 0-100,cuz im thinking of putting in a supercharger in my chevy ss 2007 and cam but if it doesnt do 0-100(km)in less the 5 sec i would be dissapointed
From stock it put down approx 370 hp. Adding the supercharger and cam plus all supporting mods, it put me at 766 hp. And no I've never tested the 0-100 but just casual driving it's a huge difference.
@@TRAYSPELLING also wanted to know,do i need to do anything to my differential if im looking at 650 hp on my 2007 chevy, what did you upgarde if anything except what is in the engine like gear box, shocks ec
@@armanddutoit3565 I didn’t change anything on my end. My clutch is my weakest link right now. My technology is a tad newer so I can’t say for an 07 vehicle.

@@gonzalezgrant 100 percent agree. So my response to that is if I had a dedicated race car that I was chasing times, competing for money, etc. I would go auto. But being this is my weekend warrior… for the thrill, the driver engagement, the overall car enthusiast experience, I’d rather bang my own gears.
I was minding my own business and he pulled up beside me … told me to roll my window down and said he wanted to roll. But yes, getting down on my throttle makes me feel very good 😂
I wouldn't go with a huge blower like that. People almost always have problems once you go with a huge blower like that. A nice 2650 tvs or something similar is plenty they can make some damn good power and much better response, torque, and overall power curve. Learn from the mistakes others have made.
@@midnight347 I agree. I first thought about going whipple, then even 2650, but was told unless you’re building the bottom end as well, it causes lots of problems.
