Love seeing g8s gto's and ss on the channel!

I drive by Murray often and see allot of these cars. Not a Chevy guy but they do have a ton of badass rides showcased.

I use to own a G8 GXP fun car blew it up after 4month so ended up building a LSX 440 Texas speed did the motor then matched it up to a TCI 6sp loved that car till some old lady ran a 4 way stop and totaled it out

I miss our G8GT. I had the same blower with full boltons. That thing was a blast to drive. made 470 rwhp and 470rwtq.

Ice tank, insulate that intake tube should do much better. I know you can't do it on a customer car but wrapping that tube with fiberglass insulation and or t-shirts I did and saw a 29° difference in the iats.

Just do what the tuner I hired did. Go to HPT and copy a file from a different car with different comp ratio and injectors, and fuel pump. Yep, I pulled the engine in Feb.22 still don’t have it back. It’s going to TSP in a week or so. 427 Stroker Trail boss

Actually a pretty good price they are asking for the gxp, I sold mine 2 yrs ago that was full bolt on and 20k miles for 35000

The white gxp I would put a bigger pulley for iat safety drop 4 psi or so because more boost =heat and sometimes less is more 20:57

Loved The GXP, a lot of people don't know about it which makes it a great sleeper. Would an After cooler/Intercooler help the AIT's? I know that may sound like a dumb question, I was a bit curious though.

I’m installing a dyno is a huge freezer so I can dyno my car. Be on the look out for my stock Hp dyno numbers 😂. Jk idk if that would make a difference

I’ve watched you guys for a few years now but have never seen a catastrophic failure on the dyno. Have you ever had a car throw parts out the bottom while on the dyno?

A g8 GT and a g8 GXP are barely different. The GT has a L76 6.0L, A Taller rear gear, no brembos. The G8 GXP has the LS3 6.2 with optional 6 speed manual but the same 6l80 as the GT. It has a better rear gear and brembo brakes. You can squeeze just about the same performance out of them if you just put a 416 in every g8. Also my brembos are bigger than the stock ones on the GXP. 6pot fronts off the ctsv ;) Either way you slice it, just the older version of the Caprice PPV (6.0L L77) or SS (LS3). you could say the caprice is the facelift and the SS is the new model. The caprice is still the VE where the SS is a VF Commodore. All aussie cars

That GXP had to have a 2300 not a 1900. I don't see how a 1900 would make 19psi on a 416cu in engine. I also found it was quite underpowered. A healthy 416 with 19psi should be 800+rwhp all day long.

Yikes those IAT’s are horrible especially if its just a single gear pull. Imagine a 40-160 pull? Things gonna be at or over 200…

ZL1 with a pro-charger 🤮 don’t like it. I’m curious to know why they would do that????
