Hi I belive PPE Headers are your next move to increase Power .... PPE say 20 plus BHP and Torque. That's on a Stock LS430 ... Be interesting to see power levels with Supercharger .... Great Video as always
Man you guys make me happy to be Canadian! Sweet blower install. Im a ford fan but Im not a fan boy. I like cars in general. I dont care who's name is on it. Have a good weekend gentlemen! Cheers from Florida!
The solution to having working FM radio is a generic antenna available at auto part stores. You can probably get a hidden model and stash it in the dash... it might not get the best reception but it'll work
Very nice car things I'm going to point out I love the Super Wheels on the Lexus love the radio and the backup camera the style of that Lexus big body is amazing. And I know you have children so maybe you don't like the hot rod ride but getting off the line quick head snapping back that's amazing in a big body I would have left it alone. And when you get a chance to you need really need to get back out and whoop that BMWs butt..
Also that grease on the soft seals doesn’t come out of ANYTHING it’s OEM and I have a shirt with some on it from two years ago on my 430 it never washed out.
How hard would a CD09 transmission swap be on this beast? I'm in Japan and we used to have the dual Blitz supercharger Celsior 4.3 (Same car pretty much). I looked really fancy but it didn't make much power, especially in Japan dyno tuning is very rare actually & I remember it took us a while to find a belt replacement. So much for a $6000 kit ...
A nice Wavetrac LSD would be icing on the cake especially in lower grip situations in the winter. But yeah totally agree awesome VIP daily, makes me want to look into Nissan Presidents!
Sleeper? 300whp on a 4k+ pound car (including driver and gas) isn't much of a sleeper or that fast really. Have fun beating up on slow cars I guess? I'm sure you'll shock a few people but it won't be anyone in a truly fast car. Hp/weight just isn't there to make this a true sleeper to me, plus it has wheels and doesn't sound stock...so...no sleeper just a creeper
You know the gent strapping the car down on the dyno is a real car guy because he's wearing grey sweats and works boots like there is not a camera filming him. Respect.
Damn yes - didn't they have that in the movie "MIB International"? I know the car was a Lexus, but was unsure which one. The V8 in the LC 500 makes a sweet noise and the car itself looks epic!
hey i have a 2005 ls430 and for the antenae, they make an adapter so you dont have to run it all the way to the trunk. also why dont you ever put it in sport mode? does the new ecu deletw that option? when you racwd the bimmer he was in sport and you were not.
Hey Al. Sport mode on this tuned version of the ECU from All4Swap is Dyno Mode, which holds it in the gear selected. Normal mode is the tuned map with the auto trans operating normally, though with their revised/improved shift tuning. Once we finalize the tune, we'll probably set it up such that Sport mode is the tuned map, normal mode is the stock tune, and winter mode is the stock tune in winter mode.
It would be really cool to see an update in the future on this car with some headers, higher boost pulley setup, and a re-tune. That would make for a spicy rematch with the BMW.
Gotta say, this is my fave project from you guys! Absolutely love that it’s a clean, fast daily that’s unique with the supercharger fit. Awesome ride, guys!
Yes track battle them both. See how well they do. Who knows maybe they could have a good balance between being a good enough track car and a road worthy all rounder too. Track battles are my favourite content
Personally, as a GS 430 owner I really appreciate this. Taking notes! Headers in hand, cam to be ordered and a getting ECU from Quantum as well. Supercharger will be sourced after upgrading suspension. Again, much appreciated! If anyone ownes a GS, follow my build
Im really curious here: how does with a supercharger and a custom tune it only makes like 8 horsepower more than the stock number? I know about drivetrain losses and whatnot, but why is a car with stock 290hp, add supercharger and tune, and only makes like 298 or something?
dash cams are such cheap insurance. theres no reason not to run one nowadays. when I drove Uber I ran one facing front and rear. I had someone side swipe me in an alley and was able to prove it wasnt my bad even tho he said I pulled out in front of him.
Dave, are you tuned on 94 Octane? You should re-tune on 94 octane plus VP Octanium you should be well over 300whp. Great looking and performing car. Your friend from Fortinos.
They look good spinning, but look a bit too angular to me at rest. For a luxury/sport ride, they aren't any improvement over the factory sport kit's 18"s with sticky rubber.
Dave, dspite all of my expectations, you have really cracked it with your Lexus, Lowered and dressed as she is has allowed the car to take on a more assertive characxter. Backed up by the Supercharger, (the right choice for this elegant ride). Those wheels are a real standout. You should copyright the design. And the interior makes the Lexus the most British of the Japanese business class cars. Shades of Jaguar/Damlier. I'm envious.
Thanks, I'm super happy with how it's turned out. Tempting to keep developing it further but the slippery slope is real and I've been down that road enough times before to know it'll likely detract from my enjoyment of the car as a daily driver if I go too much further with it.
This may seem crazy but I recommend changing the Camshaft timing tube assembly. Mine is bone stock and after changing it the car runs smoother, picked up a bit of power and feels lighter on its feet during city driving. These cam gears have a o ring inside that wears out that can cause a decrease in performance and worse a small oil leak. This is mostly common in the earlier LS430 and LS400.
the gray grease is factory for the door seals. for the squeak from the seals we would use door ease lube stick. You apply it to the metal surfaces that the seals contact.
Absolutely beautiful build brother!!! I'm a BMW guy but all in all this Lexus is absolutely amazing and a beast! I might have to get one for my weekend car!! Love ur chanel brother! Stay safe and God bless!
The Flexus is so nice. I do miss an auto every once in a while. I havent had one in like 20 years.. i should get a daily auto. Like this lexus, minus the supercharger though haha
Being lean can really hurt your throttle tip in, if the fuel pump and injectors aren’t maxed out ask for some more fuel, it should really smooth out the throttle especially in the transient area from vacuum to boost.
That "grease" under the door jam seal is factory. Helps to seal it which in turn helps corrosion. A lot of cars use that unfortunately. Very messy and impossible to get out of fabric
I love this car! I already knew how sophisticated it is, because I looked hard at buying one a few years ago. Didn't quite fit my needs, unfortunately. But Lexus and Genesis are the only car companies I trust to make extremely complicated luxury cars truly reliable. If I were to go for another sports sedan, I'd be happy to duplicate this car.
Nice video!! Very engaging from beginning to end. Nevertheless, businesses and investment are the easiest way to make money irrespective of which party makes it to the oval office.
Money is an issue that everyone has for a better and luxurious life Life was hard for me until I started trading bitcoin and am now earning $ 9,130 per week
Not trying to be a hater, but this build is A LOT of work to only make high 200s.... My 2011 Mustang with its previous V6 engine made this kind of power with only basic bolt ons...
The ‘lube’ in the seal is quite normal on Euro cars, it’s normally thicker and sticker to act as a seal against capillary driven water leaks and keeping the seal in place... not sure if it’s the same.
Only made 295whp with the tune???????? I make 354whp without a tune only on 8psi - stock ecu and everything - and on a 1UZ so making less HP from factory..... I wonder what my kit would make on the 3uz. When you want to make more HP with a bolt on kit, let me know. I'd love to see how it would do on a 3uz
Hey guys its been so many months now and still no LSD or Elate intercooler or HTV1800 upgrade? Why not us LS430 guys wanna know just how much the new Aussie 3UZ Elate kit makes?
I'd really like to see how the 1UZ would respond to 10 psi with a pulley swap. I realize that would require a retune, but I've seen stock 1UZs handle 700 whp reliably.
the early 1UZ's have the big beefy rods and can handle big power, but the later UZs including the 3UZ in this car have the so-called "skinny" rods, which are probably only good to about 400-450whp but not a lot of people have pushed these engines hard, so the limit of the skinny rods isn't well documented from what we've found. I am tempted to up the boost on the Flexus and see where the limit really is. Maybe that'll be something we do with the car in version 2.0.
Glad to see that you already knew this! The 3UZ rods are pretty tiny. I think you’re in a great spot maybe 6-7psi but I really wouldn’t go crazy on the stock rods.
Not being a hater, actually a huge fan of this build and this car, but why so little power, i saw someone with a 1uz swapped is300 with intake and exhaust making 307 to the hubs. I know manual transmission and hub dyno will make it read higher but less hp with a SUPERCHARGER and 3uz instead of a 1uz makes me think something must be wrong
I think the next step should be headers as well. Maybe a comparison of header with/without cat delete would be some interesting content. Also you should consider doing a video on installing/tuning/rematch after a STANDALONE ECU. I think it’s obvious this car needs to be tweaked on the dyno to get the most out of it. And maybe even adding a smaller pulley and an intercooler. I think people really have a big interest in the Ls430 content.
We own a from new 2004 LS 430UL US spec and it is a forever car. 150K miles and still drives like new. The only issue that we've had was a failure in the driver's seat left thigh control and the M-L Radio biting the dust. My dealer says there are none of the radio units left on the planet unless we can find a used one. Aside from those issues, we've only performed standard scheduled maintenance.
great build ! i wnt ths class for a "only dad" as a daily. Enjoy comfort mixed/sportish/meet-up's. Ths is deff a car for & my fam to do pull up's @ family renion events as well as all summ'uh bbq events with fren'ds.
just change the pulley on the supercharger or crank to get 7-8 lbs of boost. add slightly bigger injectors and work on your exhaust and youll see huge gains. quite possibly a 20+ % gain on power. with your crank hp being close to 400 if not. thats 80 more hp easy. almost 500hp at the crank and none of it really changes how the car drives. just makes it all a little easier.
That is one sweet car and I would love to own something like that. I live in the UK, where the Lexus brand at the time didn't really attract that much attention, so there aren't many LS 430's here, but you have made seriously think about getting one! One bonus for me is that the car was only made in the top spec for the UK market, so all the toys. Just to put a curve ball in here, it just so happens that I have my eye on another car - a Saab 9000 CDE currently pushing out +/- 270bhp and has been cared for. I must admit that I like a Saab, having owned two 9-5's, one of which was the 2.3 high output turbo Aero, an absolute dream to drive on the highway.
Depending on IAT's I'd be curious to see what the car would do with a smaller pulley. And either with the airbox just opened, or an open filter. Just curious if that airbox is a potential restriction. Also yeah to hear more pd supercharger whine.
Dang Dave! You look like you’ve lost more weight from the mid-section. Congrats on your gains and on the Fle-xus! Rematch with the M5-estate needed. Great vid.
I got the A-pillar off of mine and they couldn't. Ergo I can supercharge swap no problem, these guys are rookies. Your hypothesis is crap they all have that grease stuff under the trim from factory
Lexus made a gorgeous car I am looking at a 2003 but know the brake actuator can be a problem and from Lexus the thing cost 2500 dollars. What I would like is a after market fix for it so as to not have to speed 2500 dollars for a brake actuator.
I have a 2006 gs430 and the specs says is 300 hp and 325 to the wheels does that mean is better even without supercharged? and does anyone know if this setup will work on this model?
It would be nice to see how much difference a standalone ecu, with those plug-in harnesses, would make. You may have made a point against it in the past, by i honestly forgot. Edit: I saw the point you guys made by the end about price. Fair enough.
