Ryan, have you heard anything about the superchrono. We heard they was going to be coming out with a updated version in the fall of 2018.been running around lots of sights looking for any info, without any success, any info you might have would greatly be appreciated. Thanks. Dave

Ryan, your write-up on the superchrono was really good. I can't believe they limited it to m/s precision and then converted, but the real issue is, as you pointed out, the limitations of sound variances measured over very short distances. Your findings mirrored those of Brian Litz in his book. There is an F-Class competitor in Canada named Adam MacDonald who just released the "two box chrono" (www.autotrickler.com/twoboxchrono.html). While his system is also acoustic, he is measuring over 6, 10, or 15 feet. The precision and repeatability looks to be very impressive. Based on the thoroughness and detail of this review (and your blog write-up with raw data), I suggested Adam contact you to see about testing his two-box chrono. I hope you have the time and are able to do a test. I think this chrono shows some promise. The reviews for the LabRadar are wildly mixed and I'd like a non-optical technology to backup my Oehler 35p. Cheers,

In your drawn illustrations of the set up @ 1:14 you have the chronograph back to front. Does that make a difference?

I am having major issues with my SuperChrono ... A ) The Cells I Put in , Drain Out Immediately ... Its a Syndrome , I Cannot further Grapple With ... Kindly Advise me to the correct Cells to Put in ,,please give me the various options or equivalent available in the market .. B ) The Readings I am getting are extremely Eratic . I am a Long Range Shooter & the Top of the Line In The Market Ammo ( on the box avg velocity stated being 2750 ft/sec from a 30" Barrel ) gives me between bullets fired velocities of 2845 , 2869, 2873,2865 , 2849 , 2860 , 2871 , 2853 ft/sec WHEREAS The Same Ammo on another day would be giving me velocities of 2753,2764,2748,2771, 2762 , 2758 , ft/sec and on another day will give me a different set of readings ( & I Can Assure you,,I Am Just Doing everything as per your Instructions : Set Up is exactly the way you have directed,,10 ft away , 3 ft below ,pointing towards the target,,correct alignment ) S o Where Am I Going Wrong Then Sir ? Kindly Advise

Excellent review. Have you used the magna speed that attaches to the end of your barrel If so how do they compare.
