"You beat me, they go free..." Set partially to the 1st stage music from the arcade version of Ninja Gaiden. here's the scene without the added bgm: • Video
Had this on VHS back in 98...I took it with me for Rob Van Dam to sign when I met him at a mall in Philly. He told me he hasn't even seen it yet so I said what the hell you can have it. I got a free autograph for my trouble so it worked out. Wonder if he still has it at his house.
Yeah, there are certain similarities, but the one in Bloodmoon is more profoundly choreographed and is considerably better performed. With some experience in FC-Karate or any other more technical full-contact martial art - you can easily see how they stop their kicks too early before the hit. This is rather unprofessional. In Bloodmoon such blunder does not exist.
1:08- 'I DON'T THINK SO! COME ONE! YOU GOTTA FACE ME...NOW!' God, I'll never grow tired of this fight scene and the dialogue between Jack and Sawyer was great too! You know, there's a Chinese girl in my story who's a Triad turned good who can fight just like Sawyer.
The "Death Match Theme" from World Heroes 1 also fits well with this scene, especially the Neo Geo CD version. A few years later after watching this, I first started playing the original Neo Geo version, and it reminded me of "Shadow Warrior (Stage 1 Theme)" from the Ninja Gaiden arcade.
This is how most of the final battles in these types of movies seem to go. During the first part of the fight, the hero will get pummeled by the antagonist. Then, about halfway through, he'll get a few hits in, but he'll still be getting whooped overall. Then, during the last 3/4ths of the fight, he'll get either a sudden stroke of luck and/or a pep talk from his mentor and voila, he'll take charge of the fight and win and it's happily ever after for everyone.
Gave it to him when I met him back in 98. It's funny cause he actually signed it but after I heard him say he hadn't even seen the movie, I said what the hell I can watch on HBO anytime it's yours. Just wonder if he was able to get his signature off the box lol.
I saw this movie many years ago, but honestly, when I watched this clip, I thought the music was the actual score for this movie. I thought if flowed nicely.
Masterofmyuniverse Brandon Gaines is one of my spiritual mentors. He is an exceptional martial artist of various styles. He has a high level of black belt in shalion monk Kung Fu as well as many others. He stepped out of the acting spotlight to further be able to pursue his spiritual beliefs and spend more time training. Acting wasn't his passion. Martial arts is his passion and since is so good at it they gave him that role but one must continue to do what they love.
I'm still trippin' over that 'axe kick' that Jack delivered near the end of this fight! Did you hear the way the bones in Sawyer's knee cap just snapped apart? I'm like 'damn...he'll never dance again'. LOL!
Awesome! Surprisingly, i have never seen this movie, and now i got to find it! The younger guy looks like Loren Avedon, but the older one has some really sweet feint kick technique. Old school kickboxing! Although it does make me cringe when i can see how he stops the kicks before they hit their mark - time and time again. This is rather unprofessional. Either turn the camera, or choreograph for TWO - or go for contact. HK martial arts films never had this kind of blunder. BTW, thank you for the music!
thanks. 'twas nothin' tho, considering all that's in this clip is the music superimposed over the scene (luckily it fit perfectly). i just thought this music fit better to this scene than the music that they chose for it originally.
Fo' real! He's da' real deal Holyfield! The best part I like is how Chuck 'kias' when he attacks. Everytime I try to mimic his moves, I shout just like him. This movie kicks ass!
ya know, im actually from the area where this movies taped at, it was all mostly taped in harrisburg pa somewhere, one of the familiar places was that chinese place beside the old ponderosa, if theres a full film of this on here i'd love to watch it all :)
This is tight! The music fit perfectly for this! Hey Sho, if you think this is good, you should see redplague's All-American Hero montage that he made for this film.
