I don't feel like Alex proposing was too fast. I mean, I just feel like why should they wait. They're basically already living together. And I think they've both had close calls this season. If you at it through Alex eyes. It's kinda in her character. One of the reasons she came out was to be with Maggie. She doesn't see any real reason for them to wait. Maggie said it herself, life is too short. So I say, why should they wait? What are they waiting on? Besides, I don't think we'll get a Sanvers wedding right away. I think it'll be awhile. And as far as Kara goes. I wasn't sad that MonEl left. I felt bad because Kara felt bad. I love Kara and she loves MonEl. We all want Kara happy, and whether we like MonEl or not, Kara does. Besides MonEl will be back next season anyway. It's not like he's gone for good. Loved your reaction. And I'll definitely be watching your Orphan Black reactions

I didn't feel anything when Mon-el left. I was upset that it hurt Kara so much. But that's it.

Thank you, honestly, so much for this great opportunity to write fic for your channel!! It was so much fun and amazing to see you act it out. :) Regarding the episode and the season and your guys' views on it all - I pretty much agree 100%. Lena and M'gann were amazing - for me Lena was literally the best thing to come out of s2. She is SUCH an underrated character... She literally saved the entire alien population TWICE and the world from alien invasion, and yet, she is never really properly acknowledged for it... You are so spot on about MonEl and Kara... I felt sad because I saw Kara sad, but I was not really sad for that relationship because I have so many issues with it and never felt invested. And with Sanvers, I'm so annoyed at myself for not saying in my own vid more about how I feel about what they've done with them. Every time I plan to say something, they throw a shock curve-ball, just like they did with this proposal, which emotionally blinds me in the moment. But when I really stop to think about it, the whole Sanvers thing, though it started off very strong with Alex's story, has become quite rushed after that, lacking in substance where their relationship, and Alex's character as a gay individual, should've been explored a bit more in depth. But it's like they pick out all the really big moments, eg. Valentine's Day, running into an ex, the proposal, and fire them off at the audience in snippets, where it feels like we're watching a trailer of a relationship instead of the unfolding of a proper storyline. Plus, the Danvers sisters' time was pretty much MIA this entire season, suggesting that romantic love completely trumps the love of siblings, which bothers me. There should've been more balance with that. And yeah, they really did not do well at getting the team to work together ultimately. It's like everyone was doing their own thing. It also kinda made me realise just how pointless Guardian's development really was... I mean, he had virtually *nothing* to do with the finale, so what was the point? Jeremi said it perfectly with the whole 'show us, don't tell us' thing, because I've noticed the same thing soooo many times, which for me, when someone *tells* you how you're supposed to feel in a story, is like the ultimate *fail* in storytelling. :-/ I really hope they'll find their feet with all these issues next season. That's not to say that it was all bad!! It's still my favourite show and there are sooooo many things I've loved and really enjoyed this season. But yeah, the holes are just way too obvious to ignore and not say something. Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing your guys' reaction for Wynonna Earp and Orphan Black (once I manage to catch up with that show!). I had to mute you a couple of times, Divina, while you were talking about Cophine!! haha

After watching a couple of reactions I just realized where the heck was Lyra during this entire destruction of the Earth sequence? Why was Winn not worried about her or wondering​where she was?

I think the best written male characters are Jon and surprisingly Superman, the addition of Tyler has been awesome. He knows his character is there to support the Supergirl character and not center on him, they are a team. He is also written is such a way that he doesn't second guess Kara, he respects her and her decisions and is there to support her in those decisions. Jon is just an awesome space dad.

REIGN IS COMING SEASON THREE!!!!

I feel like one of two things is going to happen with the Reign storyline. 1.) Reign will end up being Maggie this whole time and Sanvers will go bye bye. (Although this is not likely) 2. The Luthors were the ones who found and raised Reign and perhaps Lena knew of this and/or she'll find out that her mother has been hiding this.

My theories are the hole mon-el went trough is either the phantom zone or a portal to another earth maybe, also I really really hope Lena knows Kara is supergirl because it would be out of character if she doesn't, I only cried about mon el leaving cause Kara was sad and the music well also Im a cry baby

Something you said reminded me of something Felicity once told Oliver. She was afraid of losing herself in him and towards the end of the episode realized she hasn't and said "we found ourselves in each other." That's what a relationship should be, you should make each other even better and even more you. I agree with a lot of what you said.

SMDH. You two seem to think that because Mon-El wasn't a "hero" this whole season that that makes his sacrifice not earned or not work. But the whole point is him being that douche and slowly growing to a decent guy. He has been a decent guy ever since that musical episode. He also argued and tried to protect Kara in the Mr. Mxyzptlk episode and later episodes he is trusting and believing in Kara. Mon-El has grown to become that hero that Kara thought he could be.

- "Did you know that he's dating Kara Danvers?" I'm not sure if Lena is jealous, or if she's saying that Kara is nobody's side ho. - So, next season we'll have a Sanvers wedding where Space Daddy J'onn gives Alex away and Maggie wears her police dress uniform, right?

I loved this finale, i only hated 1 thing. Kara giving him the last memento of her mother Allura (her necklace) to keep him "safe". If it were me, the only way you're getting it is by prying it out of my cold dead hands.

hi guys glad ur back, i gotta say ur my favorite Supergirl reactions ever, more even than my friends, they make me feel like im forcing them to watch, but u guys make it fun to watch and discuss. Now for my thoughts on the episode, I told u not to bother urselves with Mon-El or any haters, he was never gonna last, I didn't want to spoil it but the most famous thing about Mon-El in the comics is him having lead-poisoning and getting stuck in the Phantom Zone which i assume was the portal that he entered in this episode, also Supergirl's most lasting and known relationship is with a character that is yet to appear, and if he does it will have A LOT of seriously interesting hurdles to overcome, nothing stupid like Mon-El's. And i had the same reaction to Alex's proposal but notice Maggie didn't say yes, so i think Maggie will bring Alex back to reality that it's too soon, although i want them to end up married. The only thing i disagree with u is Miss Martian and J'onn's relationship, in both the comics and the cartoons M'agann is introduced as J'onn's niece (albeit more like adopted niece) and throughout this show they made sure not to make it seem romantic, so the kiss was like out of nowhere, it bothered me but im not against it, changing the relationship from the comics is fine by me but they didn't make it seem natural. Oh and i don't want Lena to be a bad guy nor do i hope it but i expect it. Other than that again, i pretty much agree with everything u said

Just found out Floriana Lima has stepped down as a series regular for Season 3 and will be on call to recur throughout the next season. We may be loosing her as she is moving on to pursue other career opportunities. I understand as actors have to keep working and building their resume. She deserves to get better roles and more exposure. Sad for the Sanvers ship, but it has been said the show runners didn't intend the character to be so loved, same as Lexa from 'The 100'. Hopefully, if she completely moves on, she goes out in style. I always wish the best for good actors. Guess we will be left with more gay-baiting between the non-gay characters. As much as I'm a Supercorp fan I wish Katie McGrath would have her own show as a smart and badass character. I imagine it wont be long before she steps away too. She's too charming. She deserves better material and a better more organized show. I'd love to see her with Gillian Anderson, Natalie Dormer, James Spader, Iwan Rheon, Jaime Murray, or Mads Mikkelsen in a project.

Thanks for letting me watch supergirl with you this season, I enjoyed the time. while we dont agree on a lot, I do think we'd end up having a good discussion about things, as disagreements can foster good debates. This was a season finale on the CW. The DEO was under protect the lesbians at all cost protocols so sanvers was grounded. I think Alex acted with in character when she proposed, she tends to be impulsive and needs the nudges from Kara. I do think the sudden move from LA to Vancouver very much disrupted the writing as Lucy, Max, Cat didnt want to move so I think they had to scramble and do quick rewrites of stories.

'I wish I could feel something' that's how I felt the whole time. They pretend they're some epic romance, but nope, as you said Mon-el's no lois. He's a jerk they showed him to be a jerk who barely changed and had all his development offscreen to pretend he's a good guy. didn't work and now they just wasted an ending of a season

I wonder if they are leading up to the creation of a new show based on the Legion of Superheroes. I mean with the addition of Black Lightning it would be difficult to add another show, but at some point Arrow will be cycled out. I would be annoyed if they purposefully used Supergirl as a launchpad for that potential show with an entire season of this Mon-el fuckery.

Y'all always seem to perfectly express my problems with the writing. I don't understand how they can write Lena's storyline so well, yet write the mains so poorly and inconsistently. Though very cute, the Sanvers proposal felt rushed. I hope they continue to develop as a couple if Maggie does say YES in S3; I took Maggie's adorable happy dimples as a YES. Also, this is just my opinion, but if the writers have her say anything else, there's gonna be a lot of angry Sanvers fans. Winn fanboying and mouthing "I love you" to Superman was hilarious. The fact we finally got another Lena and Winn scene I was so happy; my Science BROtp. The scene between Cat and Kara was beautiful; everyone needs a Cat Grant in their life. The song and the end got my feels....freaking Idina Menzel!

The last Cliffhanger scene was the Cultists putting either Reign or Doomsday into the pod. It'll be awesome if Doomsday or Reign be the prologue for the next 4-night Crossover! And btw, Divina, please forgive Mon-El. My sister cried terribly when watching Supergirl and her boyfriend split. And the wormhole Mon-El entered looks similar to the Timeship travels from Legends of Tomorrow, right? Maybe he joins Legends? He may land on the Jurassic LA next season. I was clapping when Mon-El left, though at times, he was tolerable (when he had less screen-time). Mon-El was a blah for me, and even when he got his "hero" moments, it was ruined for me, because most of the time, Kara had to encourage to him be the hero. Like at the end,when kara was fighting rhea, she had to tell him to be a hero for him to leave. When he left, he was promising to be the hero that KARA wanted him to be. For me that is just weird, he should be a hero because he wants to be. I also was kind of disappointed that kara didn't tell lena she was supergirl

Hey guys! Glad to see you were able to get around to reacting to the finale. :) I'm not as generous as you two. I would give the finale a B- at best. It was just so anti-climactic for me. I do agree with the overall assessment of a C for the whole season though. My girlfriend and I were pretty much saying the same thing when Mon-El was finally leaving. I mean, I was probably more harsh and most likely said things like...can he just go already because I don't feel anything with this scene. I don't care...haha. But there was just never any emotional connection for me when it came to "Karamel." I honestly didn't even feel all that bad for Kara because after he was gone, it was clear that she was lost...which meant she had lost herself in that relationship. And like I think Jerami said...you shouldn't be losing yourself when you're with someone you love. The two of you should elevate each other. Having her all sad and moping and commenting that everyone else was in a relationship (which wasn't true) pretty much cemented what her character "arc" was all season...that she was reduced to a love interest in her own show. You two were thinking of scenes with couples that made you emotional. If a scene can make ME emotional then it has done an amazing job because I'm a hard one to crack when it comes to crying at something. Lexa's death scene made me cry. LIke there were legit tears, lol. That's a sign that the writing, acting, and actual execution of a couple was done well. Also that scene in Season 4 in Orphan Black where Cosima realized that Kendall was going to be killed and then they blow up the van...made me teary. And that's not even having to do with a couple. It was just a very powerful and emotional scene. I would have loved to have felt something with Mon-El leaving, but we all know what a problem that character has been and it's just impossible to feel anything for him. Especially when they keep having to tell us he's a hero but never show us so we can get behind him. Sanvers feels like queerbaiting to me at this point. Like you said, Alex's coming out story was done so well, but then it's like they had no idea what to do with their "lesbians" after that. I really hope the writers and showrunners get their sh*t together for Season 3...

Wow, I'm late! Okay, my thoughts on Mon-El, since that seems to be the popular topic. I didn't dislike him. Yes, the way his character was written could've been better, it did feel like Karamel was getting more focus than it should've, and I don't think he grew into the hero we wanted him to be, but, and this is just from my experiences, I can't dislike a character that makes their partner feel happy and is genuinely trying, despite how the writers decide to show it. Relationships are a soft spot for me. I'm weak. Plus, his personality is one that I'm not against. Don't know why, but he feels like someone I can hang out with. I could also be saying this because I'm currently binge watching Supergirl, and since I was, let's say, not a big fan of season 1, I was just willing to accept any good feelings this season wanted to give me.
