@Stanleyy_Nguyen It's more of an implicit apology than an explicit apology. Actions often speak louder than words; so, we shall see if Lena is truly sorry and whether or not she has learned a lesson. Edit: also, Lena is adopted, not a Luthor by blood; so, she might not be as inherently "evil" as a Luthor by blood.
@@AndrewSmoot Lena does have Luthor blood though, we found out Lionel Luthor is her biological father. Although at this point I'm pretty sure it's Lillians side of that family thats crazy
When you saw how lex snapped at her earlier in the episode, a lot of things became clear like her abused past. Even in the beginning of this clip, you could see that she seemed younger, just a hurt kid who tried in her own way to make the world better (not in the best way obviously, but the intentions were good). She was hurt and manipulated by her brother whom she just wanted approval from because she just wanted to feel loved and wanted. She finally broke the cycle and took a step back. She acknowledged her wrongdoings and is trying to make up for her past deeds, even if it involved swallowing her pride. Proud of you Lena
Anyone else absolutely shook by katie and melissa's chemistry since the moment the door opened? And then don't get me started on "sit down" and lena's reaction😫❤
If the writers didnt want us to ship then why the heck did they hire someone who has out of this world chemistry with Melissa. For god sake Katie and Melissa's interactions are just off the charts
i don’t think they were expecting katie’s character to become such a hit because she was only supposed to be a side character originally, but the way katie & melissa made the character their own w their chemistry makes it really difficult not the ship them lol - i think a non-platonic relationship between them would benefit the show bc most of its views ship them but i don’t think CW wants another non-straight relationship :(
I think they should make Kara bi, do they have a bi character in the show? I haven't watched it that much but they should I that then Kara can date Lena but if they ever wanted to break them up or whatever she could still date guys if that's what they mainly want for her
im glad they didn't do that. they need to rebuild that friendship naturally. that doesn't happen over night. in a realistic situation you would blindly hug and forgive Lena after everything that happened. rebuilding the friendship and trust takes time.
@@colettecavazos7343 THE GREATEST SERIES EVER MADE ON LEGENDS AND IT WAS THE FIRST SHOW I SAW WITH KATIE.FROM THEN ON I KEPT FOLLOWING HER.ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO ITALIAN TV PUT ON MERLIN .I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I WATCHED IT AND ENJOYED IN WATCHING!!!
[But don't forget Chyler!] This scene totally kills. [Gotta say though, if the season weren't being cut short, I could have seen ending the ep just w/ Kara opening the door to Lena. That in itself would have been drama enough.]
@@lessismore8533 exactly, so if we say it is a strong friendship, you don't have to be so defensive. Some comments ship Supercorp romantically and it's okay if that's what they believe. We think it is only strong friendship between Kara and Lena, and this is okay too. Shippers are free to comment and we are too. We are not forcing our thoughts on anyone. Don't turn it into a stupid argument.
This scene speaks volumes to their chemistry. Katie speaking most of the dialogue but Melissa's physicality and expressions were her dialogue. I love the chemistry!
Lena never fully abandoned Kara, she wanted to, but couldn't. The moment she realized Lex was working against Kara she ran to her apartment, threw herself at Kara's mercy, and begged to help her. Did she do all of this for the greater good? No. She did it because in that moment Kara's safety mattered more to her than anger, revenge, or ego. The show made it clear that every time Kara was in danger Lena was willing to put everything aside to protect her. When push came to shove she cried as she chose not to send the email to Andrea that would have exposed Kara, this kept Kara safe. She had the chance to escape with Myriad while Kara was fighting in the fortress, she risked her own goals to help protect Kara, once shaikh choosing Kara's safety over her own. She had a panic attack when the Kryptonite cannons almost shot Kara, once again Kara's safety came first. She cried and almost broke when she saw the pain she caused by using Kryptonite on Kara in the fortress. It's clear, Lena would never abandon Kara, she was literally incapable of it.
I always felt like Melissa was telling the audience that Kara was trying not to be too hopeful. This is the moment Kara had been wanting, the moment Lena saw the truth and it was here, but the previous episode put a ton of doubt in Kara and Lena has been manipulative from the start dating all the way back to season 2. In this scenewhen Lena calls herself a villain, Melissa made the choice to take a deep breath and cross her arms. I read am interview where Melissa said she made that acting choice herself. She felt like Kara hated hearing Lena talk about herself that way and needed cross her arms to prevent herself from telling Lena she wasn't a villain. Melissa said Kara has always known that Lena only interns for good things and hates how Lena sees herself but in this one moment, Kara needed for Lena to face her choices, she couldn't relieve Lena from the consequences yet, that's letting Lena off the hook to soon. It's why she doesn't forgive her till the end of the next episode. According to Melissa, Kara wanted to comfort Lena from the moment she said "I have made a terrible mistake", but knew if she gave in to soon, Lena wouldn't face what she did properly.
Lex made Lena look like an IDIOT. He turned his sister against her real friends. Lena was thinking too much with her head than with heart. Lex only told Lena about Kara just to be dirty.
Just to be clear, if Lena dies in episode 19, I'm suing. Also, this scene should have been way longer. I hope we get another talk next episode because they can't drag a storyline for 18 episodes and then wrap it up in 2:50 minutes.
Why should Lena die in the last episode? Maybe there are rumors about that? In any case, the show wouldn't be the same without Katie. She is magic, no matter what she does.
vinci brug there have been rumours I think considering that it hasn't been confirmed that Katie would be in the next season. Tbh I'm not sure, maybe she'll be in it or maybe Lena will simply leave or whatever. But I agree, the show wouldn't be the same without her.
Honestly Katie needs to get her own show after all this time we still talking about Morgana ,she is such an amazing actress she makes you feel what her character is feeling is great.
@@joshuagallatin8271 I'm happy that they are going to work together. I predict that Kara is not going to trust her right away or she will at least consult with the other members of "Team Supergirl" considering all that has happened this season. Also I'm sure Lex will try again to manipulate her into siding with him against Supergirl. She will probably be torn somewhat but will ultimately do the right thing and help stop Lex. That's my theory for the season finale.
Idc what anyone says this show would be so much more interesting if they were a couple. Luthor and a Super? Talk about drama. The enemies to friends to lovers slow burn just writes itself. The tension. The lingering stares. The reaction of their family/friends. Then the POWER they would have as a couple. PLEASE, supercorp could be the most superior ship but-😭
I always knew Lena would come around. Personally, I don’t think she was ever a villain, as she put it. At least, not in the traditional sense, like Lex. She made some poor decisions, but she’s owning up to them, which is something most villains hardly ever do. She also had the misfortune of growing up with Lex & Lillian as her family. Those two are nothing but the cancer in her life. I just wish Kara still believed in her. Instead she’s just giving her that stone cold look, still seeing her as an enemy
Not really, not the enemy, but Kara is mad. And well, is not like Lena didnt betray her (ejem, let Kara paralized on de fortress...). But the most important. Kara lost the hope about Lena coming arround. Now the've lost all the trusth they developed over the years. That must be rebuilt and wont be with a hug.
@@joewhitehead3 I would say the oposite. Lena swallowed her pride, Kara did the same with her anger and dissapointment. She didnt say a thing, just an invitation to sit, that, in my opinion, ment to say without words. " I said I was gonna be here for you, I am but we do have a long way to be where we were.
Joe Whitehead me either, but Kara was still hurt she probably had to build a emotional block around herself, again. I truly think everyone on this show needs to go to Kelly for counseling.
Yeah because Lena has morals. She lied to herself about why she was doing what she was doing. But her goal was to stop the hurt within herself, she said so in season 6.i don't know what the show had fully planned, but it seems clear to me that just like Lex from Smallville, Lena was the victim of abuse, but unlike Lex, it was from multiple family members and it was constant. Lena came back around because Kara was always there, even when they were fighting, Kara would listen and Lena knew it.
Reading the comments , people think that Lena is swallowing her pride just to apologize and admit she was wrong about her brother. People who knows their wrongdoings , and forced to apologize even though they don’t want too. Those are the ones that have to swallow their pride. Nobody forced Lena or herself to apologize admitting she was wrong. She did it because she wants too
She didn't apologize she never apologizes for anything she does ever Kara is the one who ends up being the one does it and she cleans up Lena's messes without so much as a thank you
Ok, no one hate me, but when I watched this scene, a fanfiction about this entire thing just played in my head. I imagined that what if Lena accidentally cheated on Kara and she came home late feeling guilty and spilled the beans. She then apologizes to Kara to which Kara already had her suspicions and she was upset and furious with her. But, keeping their vows of marriage, Kara decides to hear her out and gives her a chance to explain. She pours her heart out to Kara tells her it was the biggest mistake she’s ever made and that it wouldn’t happen again. Lena cries and feels terrible for what had occurred hours before she came home. Kara doesn’t say anything after Lena explains, she just casually pulls a chair back for Lena to sit. Lena takes a deep breath of relief to have been given a second chance and they talk about what happens next. That’s it. That’s all I got from this entire scene in my head.
I dunno why but i got really sad in the scene after this one, where everyone bursts in pointing guns at lena. Like Lena's done so many bad things this season that they thought that Kara was 911 texting them to save her from Lena :(
And you wanna tell me that they are just friends right? The love was flowing from them by the way, they looked each other. For love of P, make it happen
So no more secrets between them..and they have taken their first step towards their friendship journey..i am all for it....i was waiting the whole season for this...them fighting all the time made me lose interest in the series..
Kara and William just don't have the chemistry... I am not saying it should be Lena, but it definitely shouldn't be William. Just give her actual chemistry plssss!!!
Daniel Smith yes they are straight but they’ve strong chemistry. writers always say they are just friends and they are straight but they are still writing for them like they’re main couple in this show. they’re doing querbait it’s obvious..
I was still on Lena's side because after all Kara had people who loved her when she came to Earth but all Lena had was the Luthor's I can only imagine how alone she was growing up.
On the contrary, I think Kara's behavior was right on point. There was no arrogance in her. Hurt? Yes. Anger? Yes. Arrogance? Not even one bit. That would destroy everything between them. And, frankly, the way Lena has been acting all season, she's lucky Kara didn't slam the door in her face. But she's better than that. And so is Lena, as both exhibited in this scene. Now, the healing can begin.
I don’t think it was arrogance , it was more self-preservation. Kara loves Lena, and as Lena was hurt by Kara’s choices, Kara was also hurt by Lena’s. Kara was protecting her feelings evidenced by the way she crossed her arms in front of her before relenting and offering Lena a chair. Kara wants to trust Lena again, but she has to take it slow given their fallout.
Mmmmm it feels good to me. I mean, Lena was never pure light like Kara. She always had a dark side (for good sake in S3 she tried to shot that idiot business man) but it doesnt mean she's evil. For the whole season she tried to do good (or at least what she tought it was good) taking really really bad choices. This scene is not she turning herself good again. It's she realising she's made very big mistakes.
I’m glad this finally happened. I was seriously losing interest in this show when Lena was turning evil last season because it was basically a retread of the Clark/Lex dynamic from Smallville, and weren’t doing anything new. But now after this I may give the show another shot, and actually watch this season to catch up.
Lena Luthor is the best thing in this program. I still see the people who blame her. She was manipulating by her own brother and he is brilliant evil LEX LUTHOR!! so it’s super normal that she did mistakes bc she hurt and betrayed. She is a human and when people hurt they do mistakes it’s super normal too. And when we think objectively this was all Kara’s mistakes and she didn’t say anything to her.. i hope in 5x19 they have a good speech we need that.
You wrong! Kara did everything to fix her mistakes. She is said its her fault that lena take the dark turn, always took her side, always defended her no matter what, she is just is become kara to win her back, butchered her alternative reality to tried fixed her mistake. But nothing make lena to take her shield down. But she is worked with lex is breaking point for her basically, because she is know how much she is hates her brother but she is took his side, because she is knows that its make hurt kara deeply, now, she is realized that she is all wrong. and want to make correct her part of the downfall. Also lena is know that lex is not trustworthy, she is all know that he is bitch face, but still she is wanted do that, because her pain make blinded her.
Kara already tried to reach her and make up things between both of them like for 12 episodes this season xD And no, objectively Lena made some really misguided decisions after the whole identity reveal thing (which, again, Kara tried to fix multiple times). This is their very first calm conversation, so of course Kara is going to show herself a little bit distant after all that have happened. Pretty sure they are going to have a lot of instances to reconnect and strenght their bond in the future, and Kara will also have some things to say later.
Lena took Supergirl's advice. Finally she became her own hero. Now it's time for them to work together (again) to save humanity. And repair their friendship. Dang, S5 has been a long haul.
@@justarandomperson9417 Bullshit!!!! She knew she had no business working with Lex. She's not fucking stupid. Lex has used her before, she decided to still work with him. Now people have lost and will lose their lives because of her stupidity. She better fix this, and fix it quick.
She was never the villain, all she ever wanted to do was fix humanity, it was her actions such as using myriad and working with Lex that made ppl think she’s the villain
Lena, you weren't a villain, you just made some bad choices. Okay, MAYBE the mind control wave idea was a classic villain superweapon, but it wasn't for evil.
Exactly, ppl are saying that she’s a villain but she never was, everything she did was to try and help humanity but her methods such as using Myriad and working with Lex, that’s what made ppl believe she was a villain
"You were right". She swallowed every ounce of pride to admit that. I truly think she knew that Kara had been right ever since the Kryptonite cannons. I think everything she did after, sacrificing hope, working with Lex instead of Kara after crisis, trying to talk Kara out of using Myriad and ignoring why she was using it, I think all of it was to try and prove to Kara she only wanted to do good. She dug s hole for herself and tight if she could dig out of it, her and Kara could be on equal footing and be okay again. But when she realized she couldn't fix it and that Kara was in danger, she swallowed that pride finally and went back to Kara, where she always should have been. The tears in Lena's eyes when Kara pulls out the chair, Katie deserves an award for that reaction alone, it said so much without actual words. Lena knew in that moment that what Kara was giving her (a chance to explain) was all Kara ever asked for from Lena and Lena denied Kara the chance to ever truly explain. You could see it all over Katie's face, she knew that if she had reacted the way Kara was reacting, she wouldn't have lost her
I really hope Kara and Lena become the best of friends again! These two were one of the main reasons why I got into this show. There was meaning to their friendship.
Lena has to say the words I'm sorry for it to be an apology this isn't that she's got to say she's sorry in order for me to even think about trusting her again because she tends to fake things in order to get what she wants if I were Kara I would politely ask for Lena to get out of my apartment so that I can think about it
Lena said " I'm not asking for forgiveness". Kara has not forgiven her per say but understands she needs lena and lena needs her to stop lex. But during this i'm sure they will make up. I think both of them should apologize hug it out and move on slowly buiding back up trust and a friendship.
She doesn't really deserve to be on team Supergirl at this point you think Alex is ever going to trust her after the stuff she pulled on Kara I mean she messed with Kara's other we all know Alex doesn't mess with Kara's safety ever
