Superior Drummer 3 (Toontrack) on the API BOX

I've been having a lot of fun with Superior Drummer 3, and breaking out the individual drums to channels on the API BOX where I can add analog processing.
I mentioned in the video that this is actually a service we can provide to anyone using superior drummer and probably EZ Drummer too. You can send us projects In ProTools, Logic, Cubase/Nuendo or Ableton and we can run your individual drums through our analog processing, then send them back as audio stems.

Hi there! I heard the Box only has transformers in the master section and not in every channel. Is this true? Thanks!

the mic pres have them and if you put API EQs in the 500 slots they will have them too, but apparently the summing section on the right side does not.

Hey man thanks for the Vid. Love you stuff. What Library is that in SD3? What do you recommend?

thats "Music City" - essentially the Nashville library. I only have that one and the Eddie Kramer "Legends of Rock" library. there's so much in those two alone, much less the default library. oh I think I also bought a MIDI pack of just fills. that was really inexpensive.

@@hopetownsound cool man yeah the drum sound really organic I don't know if there's any processing happening in Superior drummer or if that's all happening post it looks like it's all happening in the API and the outboard compressors. I run cubase 12 in my studio I also have the SSL uc1 thanks for all you do man.

@@LouRoppoli thats a great combo C12+ UC-1. i downloaded nuendo 12 but im waiting to install it on my Mac Studio when it arrives (back ordered to late June)

@@hopetownsound yeah I'm so interested in the new studio Mac running on a Windows machine it has served me well for many years. Yeah check your mixer it appears like there's no compressor in the sd3 mixer channels so I think you're hearing the dry sounds. I have st3 as well too I love it it's the best for songwriting.
