SUPERMAN Clip - "Flying with Lois" (1978) Christopher Reeve
PLOT: Just before the destruction of the planet Krypton, scientist Jor-El (Marlon Brando) sends his infant son Kal-El on a spaceship to Earth. Raised by kindly farmers Jonathan (Glenn Ford) and Martha Kent (Phyllis Thaxter), young Clark (Christopher Reeve) discovers the source of his superhuman powers and moves to Metropolis to fight evil. As Superman, he battles the villainous Lex Luthor (Gene Hackman), while, as novice reporter Clark Kent, he attempts to woo co-worker Lois Lane (Margot Kidder).

I bet the original Lois Lane (Noel Neill) wished she got to do flying sequences with George Reeves (as Superman) back in thier day😄..fun fact: Noel Neill did a cameo in Superman...she played the little girl's ( young Lois) mom on the train when young Clark was racing the train.

@@paulsmith9192it's a great detail of the script, Superman is in a playful mode, he holds Lois by his hand tip, mesmerized by her, and maybe, a bit nervous too, then, she slips off, making him go to catch her, leading to a closer approach 😉

Disagree. Every actor who's played Superman was fit to be him. Plus it helps that everybody who's ever played him all or very upstanding guys.

Is there a scene in the whole of the MCU and DCEU combined even half as magical as this? Great superhero movies are built on one consistent thread; Romance. Steve and agent Carter, Tony and Pepper, Peter and MJ, Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor. Without that they are just people beating each other up.

Es interesante ver que, quizás, lo que hace volar a superman es como una especie de campo gravitacional que afecta por contacto y por eso puede ser que cuando Lois cae del helicóptero, "eso" evita aceleraciones dañinas al cogerla en el mismo instante que la toca.

This scene is hard for me to watch. Reminds of a girl that I was in love with years ago. She’s dead now. She was killed right as I started dating her and I’m still suffering from back injuries from what happened. We decided to go flying on our first date. We jumped out her second floor window….I landed right on top of her. May she rest in peace. It still weighs on my mind, if only I’d told her to flap her arms or somethin. I burned my Superman outfit soon after that. I’d recommend not trying to fly… at least on a first date.
