Yup. Superman is fast. Depending on the comic, he can match gods. The Speedforce is a different monster entirely. The Flash has always been about the greater good. So if you know about the lore of the Flash, you'll know why Superman won.

The Flash can run run at infinite speed, charity runs are just where he puts on a show. I garuntee that at multiple points in this race he sped himself up, grabbed some food and took a nap and then went back to running "fast"

If it was in a night area of the planet it's understandable but to weaken him in a place where solar power is at its most powerful in planet earth for a being that is powered by solar rays was pretty stupid of the writers. He’s faster when he flies. He can’t run as fast as the Flashes can, but he can come close to them while flying. Maybe the physical act of running uses up his Solar reserves quicker than when he flies at those same speeds?
Amazing how much a retcon changes decades of canon. Superman used to be able to fly effortlessly through hyperspace, now he gets winded going for a jog. Whatever pleases the new generation of fans, I guess.
There are multiple versions of every comic book character, this is nothing new. There are versions of Superman bigger than the multiverse, which wouldn't be very interesting in a race around the Earth.

Neither of these characters would cheat. Thats below their ethics. In this instance, superman won. Flash is most definitely faster most of the time, but somehow superman dug deep and pulled one off.
@@pullcarsmelly8051 in later comics it is revealed that Flash imposed a handicap on himself to keep it competitive, it's stated in this Exact comic that everyone was Expecting Flash to win and people began to tune out. in later comics, when Superman points out that he even won some of the races, Flash says "Those were for charity, Clark" implying that he obviously didn't go as fast as he Could have gone (given that he can move faster than light, space, and time?)

They kinda have to since he’s practically a god with no set weaknesses (except writers) and a rogues gallery of Saturday morning cartoons - style villains. In short, The Flash is a Marty Stu (again, unless the writers say otherwise and in very short instances).
Lex Luthor made a huge bet during the middle of a race and expects the public to hate Superman if he loses the race. Like... WHAT?! Lex Luthor at that moment was both petty and stupid.
Technically, if he was allowed to fly and the race went on long enough Superman could start outpacing the Flash because his powers are effectively infinite but require time to build to that level, like how he can only punch so hard but can lift the book of infinity. The punch is over about as soon as you make contact but lifting lasts until you stop doing it
Superman has to be in space to move at the speed of light the flash has the speed force so the laws of physics no longer apply to him and he can nearly infinitely run nearly infinitely fast
A quick Google search Would tell you otherwise. The speed force completely alters physics no way to win. Without the speed force being tapped they're on par. Also the flash could steal his kinetic energy but it would kill lots of people because its "like being tossed out of a speeding car" according to the comics
Not really wanked, Superman can actually match against a Flash that is BARELY trying and is not sprinting at half speed. It's just that he was powered that he actually went beyond his own self to barely beat The Flash and even then, he was pretty dead at the end

The whole story is basically everytime about how superman spites in the face of the odds against him and does the impossible when he gives all. He finds a kidnapped girl lost light years away, he states that he only lets Batman in a fight cause otherwise Bruce would be a sad boy and he breaks unbreakable chains. The art was dope but the story sounds like dragonball story about son goku

There are many decent superman stories, but this one reads like a work of a 12 year old superman fan. Flash let him win. So Superman doesn’t lose the charity. Trust me, Superman is no where near the same speed as The Flash. The Flash is called the fastest hero of all time for a reason. Superman is fast as fuck. Don’t get me wrong. But Flash has done far beyond what Superman can do in terms of speed.
