If you think about it too much, this one is not really fair. In the first fight, Clark at least stood a chance. In this case, the bully might deserve it, but he stood no chance at all.

It was partly revenge, but it was also for the good of the owners and fellow diners whose life the bully had made a misery.

Actually, this scene didn't even besmirch Clark/Superman's character as an act of revenge. It's more like a delayed act of self-defense -- now that he's got his strength back, he does what he would have done the first time, when the bully was an aggressor who acted without provocation.

Immediately in with that classic American style diner. The mad thing is, it’s probably seen as pretty standard there to have a design like that. Yet here, they replicate diners like that and charge a fortune to eat in it haha 😆 The big confrontation. I always hated that scene because it sets Superman up as the bully. The script would have been served better if it had allowed Clark to fight back properly in the earlier scene where he got beat up. Instead they did not let him throw a punch. Then in this scene he picks a fight with someone when he is invincible. Can't help thinking the director hated Superman.

The guy eating the pie is the only best part of this scene, Clark going to the bar in Smallville on lois and clark dealing with the guy that hit his son and pull a gun on his wife is better then this scene

This scene never sat right with me. Superman should have been above taking revenge on a defenceless human. It would have been better if Clark had shown up with the police and said "That's the man officer. I'm pressing charges on you Sir."

A bit unrealistic. If the guy was spinning that fast on the barstool he would have flew off in an instant. I also wonder why Superman wanted revenge on this guy. I didn't see this movie so I don't know what led up to this.

Whenever people talk about Henry Cavil destroying that guys rig in Man of Steel, for groping and molesting that barmaid, and claiming that it was "Totally unlike superman to ruin a guys life like that" I put them to this scene... This... This is just horrible. That man is probably either scarred for life... Or, best case scenario, died quickly after this.
