Christopher Reeve is The Superman Henry Cavill is The Man of Steel Both were great Supermans, but were very different from each other.

Classic gives vibes of inspiration wonder and amazement and compassion. New version gives vibes of strength courage and possibilities and hope. I say use them both in a film but at different times

Hans Zimmer is a great composer, John Williams is a fucking Genius. Hans Zimmer would agree with that too, I'm sure.

NO, zimmer is not a great composer. John is a legend

Lol it sounds like they're competing during the build up, then Zimmer's hits the chorus and it's such a wall of sound the other one is drowned out

The only thing I don't like is that not all of it lines up perfectly, but it's nothing you could have fixed. This is great.

The fact that they're different tempos makes my brain hurt.

If this comes about all because you were "bored", most of us are hoping that you would be bored more often. This was EPIC!!!!

As great as they are john Williams and Hans zimmer don't go together, John Williams is more campy and bombastic and adventurous almost like being on an epic adventure where as Hans zimmer is more sweeping and dramatic almost like your in another world or running away from something. These two have very distinct styles that don't mix

I'll gladly take both John Williams and John Ottman over both Zimmer and X.L. any day and everyday. All that Zimmer ever did was precisely hybridize some of his prior works and forcefully rework it; and X.L. simply obliged and followed his example, denying his own instincts, if he even has any anymore. The Remote Control Productions monopoly disgusts me. All they had to do was take Williams' foundation and give it the *Crimson Tide* treatment. But no, no, no, they just had to deem it "irrelevant" and toss it out the window. That's a croc of B.S. and the biggest mistake of their whole career. I lost all respect for them from there. Makes them worth publicly ridiculing.

Sir I had planned on doing a very VERY similar mash up. I commend you for beating me to the punch an d taking the music I've been hearing in my head for so long.

I really want one of these with the WONDER WOMAN song from the tv show and the "is she with you" track from BVS now.

This is great... To me listening the "Man Of Steel" it is a great sound track and really fits for the movie. As I've listened more to it, the Williams score is almost haunting the background as though it could pop in when we have a full fledged Superman. Man of Steel showed us a good step but not a fully realized Superman. I'd love to hear the Hans score and as it fades hear a rerecorded Williams score. Great work on your remix!

I like Snyder's Man of Steel. It shows Kal El in turmoil whether to do the right thing, knowing Earthlings or most of them would be envious of his kryptonian heritage and ability.

I'm not shaken by this....someone said it gave them chills, but it didn't for me. They left out the best parts of the original them. Man of Steels them is more powerful than the original song. Maybe they should have used the song " This is my world" the part when Superman picks up the spear and kills the monster from B vs. S. I think that would have sounded better.

It's hard to say which is better. Both are a masterclass in pairing a score with a story. In the end, however, Williams' score was not just for a film. It pairs with Superman in all media in all times.

Zimmer's version is severely lacking in any melody, which is why It just doesn't do anything for me. His Flight Theme is a lot better.

Maybe the best testement to the brilliance of Zimmer is that he made a Zack Snyder movie watchable, the flying scene in Man of Steel makes that film

I wish they used this mixed on a sequel as the opening scene cavil smiling flying through space all the way to metropolis and meets Louis ❤️

So so close, but not quite there. Some parts are a tad bit jarring. But still very cool and I think they should do something like this in the man of steel sequel.

I'm sorry I can't help but think these two composers aren't even on the same level. How many iconic themes has Williams written more than I can remember and they are known hummed around the world to this day and beyond. Hans Zimmerman could only wish for this as the man is bland

Unfortunately Williams' Superman is a sort of preamble of Star Wars and Zimmer's Man of Steel a sort of extension of Inception, so the comparison is not very relevant. However, the video is great.

I think that some combination of the two composers should have been a necessity. I give credit to Zimmer who needed/wanted to create a new theme for Man of Steel, but discounting the iconic John Williams' score wasn't a great idea. Let's face it, the John Williams' score is unbeatable, so it would have been more attractive to include his music in Man of Steel. Even Zimmer should have recognized this.
