The way Felicia Day is able to believably portray two versions of Charlie, one a well-adjusted pacifist and the other an amoral, murderous psycho, is just incredible. I only wish they didn't have to leave her so traumatized...
Yes, Jess, Supernatural felt disinclined to acquiesce to your request of wanting a light-hearted episode today. Your reaction was about the same as mine as this one hurt. Tears were shared, and I badly wanted to give you a hug when it ended.
Guy you've seen before is Paul McGillion he turns up in a lot of filmed in Canada things, most notably Stargate Atlantis. Supernatural wise he was in the waxworks and Paris Hilton episode. The guy Dean goes to see who drove the car is another one you'll see in everything he was in the college campus/first trickster episode.
@3:27 - Yep, he was previously in the Season 5 episode "Fallen Idols". Not surprising, since Supernatural does like to have the same actors play different roles, seasons apart.
So i loved this episode. Creating Thier own backstory for the wizard. The bar scene between charlie and dean. The way they handled the similarly between dean and charlie! It was all great. This is an episode i go back and rewatch occasionally.
Charlie's is back that make me so happy she is my favorite character Even though the guy who killed her parents What's a bad person he did not deserve to Die Dark Charlie isa pretty clever parallel the mark this season have lots of them
You can't trust the SPN writers for a happy fun episode when you need one.. Maybe run back and watch changing channels or the French mistake when that feeling hits. For lighthearted on this one.. picture the set. Felicia gets Jensen in a leg lock.. giggles.. Take 2 Felicia gets Jensen back in the leg lock.. this time he giggles Take 3 Felicia gets Jensen back between her thighs.. can't help but blurt out.. my life is now complete.. Take 4.. I have no idea if that happened but every time I see that scene.. that's what I think of.
😢 Sorry your request for a lighthearted episode didn’t happen. The next one will though. The show has a take talent for when to put in fun episodes after the right about of emotional abuse to the fans
...Crying so much? I could of told you NOT to watch "The Acolyte". ..Well, TOO LATE Now... Heh, I am surprised thst Sam didn't throw in a Star Trek reference : "The Enemy Within" - S1E05 ...Damn, Not even a reference to "I am the Walrus" by The Beatles? ("I am he, and you are he, and you are me, and we are all together.")
Not a fan of this episode. This is not to dunk on Felicia Day or her performance in any way. I just feel like Sam and Dean were severely dumbed down to have the evil Charlie stand out to the point of being Mary Sue-ish.
I'd like to think Dean & Sam held back because they cared about Charlie. But you are right, more often than not the writers don't make the brothers fight as hard when its a woman their up against
@@patrickmcguire7896 I don't malign them for holding back against her but Sam and Dean were just written worse than incompetent. Sam can hack into stuff just fine; now you're going to tell me it all flew out of his head because the episode requires Charlie to be the only hacker. Dean never would have fallen for such a simple minded trick even if he does have a soft spot for Charlie. Literally nobody else would have made Dean look that stupid as a seasoned trained hunter.
