Anyone who doesn’t appreciate chuck’s character had completely missed the point. Rob has created an incredible portrayal of a god that is as flawed as the humans created “in his image “
He's almost more like something from Lovecraft than the bible. You can call him Azathoth instead of God and it would fit just as well. Then again Azathoth is basically Lovecraft's interpretation of God so...
Ashley Burns yet so many people either hate him or think he’s a fraud and are waiting for “The real god” to show up because he’s not all seeing, good and all powerful. Like..if he was any of those it wouldn’t be much of a story and the supernatural world as we know it wouldnt exist
I love Chuck’s character and Chuck himself but really Supernatural ended at Season 11. Really only because I don’t want him to die and that’s my head canon. He’s alive and everything’s good.
It's funny...all this talk of alternate realities on Supernatural now. To me, IMO, everything after season 5 has been an alternate reality for Sam and Dean 🤷🏻♂️
+ShadowVessel I think season 4 was the start of their life becoming of an alternative reality as the boys were more in control of their own fate in seasons 1-3 as God didn't intervene or write their story from then.
I love Chuck. Whether if it’s as the Prophet, Chuck the good guy God, and Chuck the villain he’s just great. Chuck makes the show really because he’s the only one in character. He’s the only one who is consistent with his actions in the show. Now you could ay oh the other characters got development and to an extent that’s true but sometimes it’s not the good kind of development. Chuck is the only one who is consistent and to be completely honest I really don’t want him to die. Great video!
I watched this video right around the time it first came out. I listened to this song today and came running back. This editing is so good!! I almost cried watching this and I haven't even watched the show since it ended. 👏👏👏👏👏
I totally didn't mean to sound like a dick in my former comment. The video is great. Even though my ideal Supernatural are seasons 1-5 (and Kripke's, COUGH 😊), I've still checked in on my boys ever since and awesome fan edits like this. I'm doing my own from my phone, but people like you are why I got on RU-vid in the first place years ago
I totally agree with you. Seasons 1 to 5 were the best, but there are some other seasons that were great too like 10 and 11. Thanks for watching my video, happy u like it 😊
I'm still not convinced Chuck wasn't playing a role this entire time. Oh, sure, both the Prophet and the Villain were sincere portrayals of how he felt, but he still played those parts in his story, as a way to test the boys. Are they capable of rebelling against Fate, when it is handed to them in script-form? Are they strong enough to make the choice the angels failed to make, and rip themselves loose to live their own, real, free lives, without godly intervention or the comfort of knowing there's a grand plan? Is Chuck's beautiful creation finally ready to "grow up" and live on without him, with his grandson taking over the family business of both hunting down cosmic evil and observing the world from afar? It feels so obvious that he planned for himself to be The Monster At The End Of This Book, who the Winchesters slay and finally prove that Free Will exists, for good. I'm so sad the writers didn't really make good on that potential storythread, with everything they could've pulled on from past seasons.
