I would so want to see Sam in his demon form just killing demons left and right with a swipe of his hand. I am kinda sad we didn't see him becoming more and more powerfull
IKR! I really want them to bring his powers back somehow... Like maybe have him manage to do it without drinking demon blood, and having Dean and Cas on board with it so it doesn't start any fights... Haha I just feel like it was such an amazing storyline and the demon blood stuff is a big part of Sam's character, it effected him a lot. And the fact that he can be around demon blood so easily makes me both happy and sad, I feel like once an addict, always an addict (I don't mean that they're always going to be literally addicted to whatever it is they're addicted to, and they're never gonna quit, but I mean I feel like it'd always be hard to be around their drug/poison. I don't know though because I know no one with addictions [that I know of] so no one get offended by that! Please!) I just think it should've at least lasted longer (him getting over the addiction... It only really took a couple of episodes. I am glad they didn't drag it out and make it a main focus for many seasons, but I would've liked to see a bit more struggle, and even have demons taunt him with their blood... [I hate seeing Sammy in pain, obviously, but there were so many possibilities with the whole thing and they didn't use them...)
The thing is he never had to drink demon blood because like Ruby said, he had it in him all along. Just like the other psychic kids didn't have to drink demon blood to get stronger, neither did Sam. The weird thing is that drinking the demon blood gave him those hallucinations & withdrawal symptoms, but it also kept him from doing what some of the other psychics did & become evil like Ava because she gave into her demonic power by using it and started discovering more & more powers she had. Sam could've done the same without drinking any blood but Dean kept him from doing that. Had Sam followed what Ava & Jake did (remember how Jake said the learning curve was very small) he would've been able to kill demons and do whatever he wanted but at the cost of losing himself to evil. Notice how it wasn't until Dean went to hell that Sam started giving in to his powers like the other psychic kids did, with of course Ruby egging him on to explore his abilities further. The demon blood probably was like steroids for him & made it easier to recharge his powers, but I think the main reason Ruby got him drinking her blood was to contaminate him & control what he saw & heard, like in Lucifer Rising with the phone call. And of course Lucifer needed him to have that blood in him to make the vessel stronger.
these powers made me have such a low opinion towards him in the first place(season 4) in first season it was sound like something holy but it was blow!
Yep, if it weren't for the Lillith thing, Sam's powers would actually come in real handy. They'd probably be able to save more demon vessels too. Too bad there wasn't much of it after S4☹☹. Plus he looked real badass with those powers 😍😍.
@@blackheart456 No actually, he doesn't. He was able to move things and had psychic abilities prior to the demon blood. The demon blood was a means however Sam could have easily tapped into his powers without the demon blood, as we saw in Seasos 1-3.
It's been a while by then that Dean should have understood that Sam was little and innocent only in his head. After such scenes (and also when Sam kills Alastair), for me it was harder to watch Dean being so bossy and commanding around Sam, while the latter could have just tore him into pieces. But of course he would not. Because it is Dean, his absolutely devoted, unconditionally loving, big mother of hen brother :)
Yeah, and I wish it hadn't been viewed as a bad thing. I wish he would've worked on those powers without the demon blood. But he had everyone shaming him for his abilities sadly. He told Dean he was just trying to do something good with this curse and I believe he was.
@@davidortiz3094I have been thinking the exact same thing. Since season 2, I always wanted Sam to dive into his powers, it was clear that he was all powerful, and I was fascinated to see how he would eventually take control over these powers and how he would use them to defeat evil. Yes the path to accomplish that would be an extraordinary struggle, but alas, that was the beauty of it. To see a hunter, who's entire life was dedicates to defeating supernatural beings, was now the ultimate supernatural entity. Then seeing how powerful Sam became in seasons 4 and 5, combined with his high level of intellect, I too always thought that Sam would be unbeatable. This would have been spectacular. In this very scene, we observe how even an angel trembled at the sight of Sam. This is what supernatural was all about. How Sam, the most righteous and virtuous character of the entire show, who always carried the burden of morality and ethics by questioning and analysing what is just, what is right and what is wrong - was also the one who was chosen - the boy with the demon blood - this all time supernatural entity. This is what they should have continued to explore. In fact, I am of the opinion that season 5 was rushed. They spent the entirety of season 5 not knowing what to do to stop Lucifer, and yet, in a matter of 2 episodes in the end, Gabriel tells them about the 4 rings, the cage, they defeat a horseman, make deals with Death, and destroy Lucifer in what was an underwhelming "battlefield." My opinion is that defeating the horseman should have been longer, as these are the 4 horsemen we are speaking about - 4 of the most powerful entities. More time should have also been spent on Sam developing his powers and strength in order to eventually defeat Lucifer. Additionally, more time should have also been spent on constructing a plan that would have trapped Lucifer as well. The reason I say this, is because it made no sense to me as to how easily Dean and Bobby accepted Sam's proposal, where he would sacrifice himself and yes to Lucifer in order to trap him. Throughout the entire series, right until this point, all characters would explore every other option plausible before ever accepting Sam to make such a sacrifice - especially Dean. Yet somehow it took them 5 minutes to convince Dean to allow his baby brother to say yes to Lucifer, and subsequently trap Lucifer in the cage, where Sam's soul would ultimately also be trapped and tortured for eternity. Yeah and Dean was all on board with that, Bobby never even flinched at that idea. This was very out of character for both Dean and Bobby. Lastly the battlefield should have been more grand, rather than Sam/Lucifer and Adam/Michael, just casually walking in to a cemetery to have a fight like some sort of local drunks after a pub spat. This is suppose to be the battle that would have ended the world. It should have been earth shattering and magnificently placed. All of this material could have therefore been used and as such extendedinto a season 6 - thus giving us more of Sam's powers, a more well rounded finish, as well as the ultimate battle that was built up so much.
I personally found all of them enjoyable but Famine was my least favorite. I don't know why but Death, War and Pestilence we're better because of their charisma and intimidation as well as humour
@Ghost 627 Too bad we never saw any of the horsemen interact with each other. Famine always complains that he's hungry and death is always eating junk food 😂
Mezu Yenix theres just a lot of special effects that go in post , so most of this is random yelling and grabbing and gasping irl. Though I’m sure at this point they were used to it , especially Jared.
"don't worry, you are not like everyone else. you'll never die from drinking too much, you're the exception that proves the rule, just the way... Satan wanted you to be". how Sam's face changes with each said word, that hits me really hard. imagine how painful it is to hear for him, to know that he is more Satan's creation, than human being.
Very sad, and yet he didn't drink all their blood, he exorcised them twice, killing famine in the process, thus getting his ring and getting their quest completed.
What a pity we never got to see peak demon-blood Sam because of his and Dean's reservations about psychic powers and blood consumption. I would've made it my mission to bag fodder-tier demons on the daily for Sam to drink up if I was his bro.
So yeah, I've sort of hated how early on in the series(s1-3; mainly) Sam was looked at by Dean and Bobby anytime his abilities/power came into play, as if he guaranteed to go "dark side". It was like in their eyes powers=bad, even before finding out he actually got his abilities from Azazel. When in fact, they met and got help from Missouri who was a psychic, back when a poltergeist was terrorizing a family in their old Kansas home. They also tried looking into many sources of psychics, faith healers, or "mystical" people to help Dean when he was dying from his ass getting electrocuted. It just made zero sense to me. Again.... This is for pre-season 4.
I think it’s because he was seeing the future and Telekinesis. Pamala was Psychic, but she didn’t have no weird powers, just contacting the dead which is normal in the Hunters world. Sam abilities were basically superpower and they are use to anything with powers being a monster.

I didn't really think Sam's plan was accepted that easly. Dean was trying to find any other way. Bobby was more of a "It's above my paygrade, you deal with this from the start, you decide", sure, maybe he should have more to say, but even he was like "Sam, I barely managed to take over a demon for a phew seconds, taking over the body with Lucifer will be impossible", so he was saying no to Sam, just using more rational arguments instead "You can't do this, you won't sacrifice yourself." And remember, Death had to specifically tell Dean "you allow Sam to jump onto this pit, you are not stopping him, or I will find you." So yeah, I also don't think Dean accepted it to easly. Although, I do agree that it would be super cool to see Sam being a biggest monster of all. Maybe they could write Ruby to be less of a Lucifer fanatic and more of a "queen behind a king" for Sam, as she is slowly manipulating him to take over a world and to become the third power against both Lucifer and Angels.
I’m sorry, can someone remind me why Sams powers are supposed to be a bad thing when he can make a gesture and force multiple demons out of their meatsuits without harm? I don’t care what his source is, he casually bitchslapped one of the Four Horseman and all his lackeys with nothing more than some attack dog demon fueling him.
Because it was "morally wrong" for Sam to drink demon blood to save people was the canon excuse. 😒 Honestly I'm with you because Sam's powers were so much more helpful in the long term of them actually saving people.
When he has demon blood flowing through him, it messes with his morals. It mucks up the line, makes him more aggressive. It also makes him a suitable vessel for Lucifer. So with his morals off and him being dressed up as a perfect vessel, its possible he could let Lucifer in, even with the intention of ending Lucifer. So it's better he stays away from Demon Blood so as not to risk letting Lucifer take his meatsuit for a walk.
well i think dean didnt wanted sam to drink demon blood was because yeah as you guys said because it made him morally wrong and also we can see in some episodes that driking demon blood and using powers has some bad consequences on sammy he used to get hallucinations and seizures
The issue with Supernatural is that it was so good that you literally can remember almost every episode. You can recall the whole story. I was hoping to start forgetting some so I could watch it again!
I always thought Sam was supposed to be the final villain in the Supernatural series. Mainly because of the demon blood. Turning him into the Antichrist or whatever.
I find it interesting that the reason why dean didn't like Sam's powers despite of how useful they were to their line of work, was that they were superhuman abilities. And then the last season comes along and God reveals that the reason why they never got sick, broke bones, etc. Was because he kept them healthy enough to keep going... Which would technically also make them /both/ superhuman to a point.
They are human superhuman. They could stitch themselves back up again within a week tops. But Dean was indoctrinated against supernaturals. John was as vengeful as it can get, and dean had to bear all the burden because of what happened. However sam, never knew all of that, he was born into it, never knew the mom or the dad before he turned
Its a brilliant concept, watching a boy pave his way to hell with good intention. And sam wasnt becoming unhinged because of his power, he was unhinged despite it. Demonic power just became an excuse for it to come out Thats why dean was always frightened, but he never understood it.
I dont think so. The trials in Season 8 were purifying him, as well as in Season 11, where Sam makes himself clean in the biblical sense. these things made him clean again, so that there is no demon blood in him anymore
Camilla B when he didn't have a soul he drink his own blood and it gave him super strength he ripped a pipe off the wall and killed the demons that captured him and dean
Famine didn't die. None of the horsemen did, besides Death in season 10, and I'm hoping even that was a setup because it was so damn stupid & anticlimactic. The Horsemen had there finger's cut off & their rings taken. We don't really know where they are now. They could be in the Big Empty or someplace else. I'm guessing they went back to where they were before being unleashed during the apocalypse.
I'll always love when supernatural beasts are killed by supernatural means, or fight with them, as opposed to some crappy highschool level fist fighting.
Horsemen dont die, they exist as long as the thing they are based around exist. Theyu are simply in a catatonic state...Powerless? No but they have no real reasons of existing In short....They cant die, but they cant do harm either.
You realize that this video is badly mistitled, you can't kill a Horseman, only incapacitate. At least that was true at the time that this season took place
Wish sam could have found a way to use his powers without eventually turning dark.. supernatural was good up until after the season lucifer came back, should have done a follow up with dean after sam went to hell then ended it there and then! The whole turning god into a villain thing just told me they were clinging to dead weight trying to find enemies to kill as they had pretty much hunted everything evil in existence up until then, STILL! i enjoyed it for what it was and still have some great memories with it.
Dormant, he can get them back anytime but he won't because he would go dark. I really wish they would give his power back im on season 10 and im so sick of seeing Sammy passed out. :/
TypicallyTori His power and the demon blood was burned out and his blood was purified when he did the trials. Sam’s just a normal human with normal blood now.
@@andrewkomaniecki480In an earlier season, Sam was given the power to exorcise or destroy demons using his mental powers. These powers become stronger when he drinks the blood of demons, which he did just before this scene (that's what Famine meant by "the snack I sent you" -- Famine had sent some demons to Sam's hotel).
@@abduljah9355 I understnad but he didn't practise his powers in so long. Shouldn't his powers be at a novice's level again? Or when he regained his demon powers, they were on the same level prior when he killed Lilith? Just trying to get a grasp on inconsistinsies in supernatural
This is unbelievable! HOW ! HOW can a human kill a horseman , this is why I hate the show, a simple can kill one of the most powerful entity in the universe in like a few minute
altin ay kor yeah but he easily destroy the 4 horsemen’s earth form, I mean it is said that the four horsemen’s power is close to god and a random human with some random power can ban from earth, some of the most powerful entities of the show in like a second just by some magic thing,
