Being assigned to the Flamthrower Corps is probably the most cruel punishment that Kane utilizes should someone fail him repeatedly, minus the backstabbing part (then you get a bullet in the head for it, a la Seth!)

I thought they'd all explode themselves and the last ~5 or so might fan out and clean up, but nope.

The closest one was against the commandos, they got the last guy on a sliver of health

Honestly only 4 were required.

This is also the truth in real life. Flamethrower infantry were often priority targets and were usually executed on the spot if they were ever taken as prisoners of war.

Lights had the biggest advantage, mediums were the most disadvantaged.

The only surprise for me was the mammys being the first defeated.

i said mammoths untill i saw the light tanks had 5x the production.... as soon as i saw that i changed sides

The AI still would find a way to bunch them up for self-destruction.

@@bfahren I'm convinced you can put 200 flamethrowers versus 50 power plants, and 70% of them would still find ways to blow themselves up.

Weaker units always get more production, otherwise the stronger units would win every time!

I really would like a turnbased command and conquer in the stile of advance wars. AW is such a timeless gem.

They can be okay as a 1 of for base defense, but ya they are trash overall

Volkov probably wins since supes have ridiculous HP but not much damage. Volkov is basically a super tank who kills mammoths in seconds.

It's called the most cost effective/efficient strategy. And it's hard to balance around this because if you make early game units so ridiculously weak you run the risk of slowing down the pace(which is fine if that's the intended design) and making those weak units serve no actual purpose besides lategame fodder. This primarily an issue with early game units that are considered your workhorse units; units that serve a general purpose and are effective at doing (almost)any job from early to late game. Why not just get rid of such generalist units? Wouldn't a game full-on scale rock-paper-scissors be more conducive as a STRATEGY game? This design philosophy of making everything a specialist unit might be good on paper but in turn kinda makes outcomes of these games predictable when all the game is just who can counter who the fastest. Though who knows, maybe with the right execution, someone can make an RTS with all specialist units, maybe taking notes from Tactical Action RPGs like Fire Emblem and their weapon triangles.

Was pretty uneven having more factory than all the others. They should have all the same amount of War Factory

@@estellebright2579 I think there's a fan project that combines the two, but you're right. The original games don't cross. Unless there's something I'm missing about the map editor?

I got everything but the super tanks, I was getting on a tie.

Only using zoom mod and custom INI mod to remove unit costs for those. Thanks for watching!

Maybe build some mods to add OwO or senpai to the visuals or voice lines
