Our SuperUL series of ponchos like all our ponchos can be set up as a hammock or tarp, but this poncho only weighs 9 oz and it's quite strong. Top of the line Silnylon ripstop. To make hammock set up super easy this poncho was equipped with the Quick Connect and Dyneema (HMPE) daisy chain webbing.

ya but does he get out of the poncho hammock? now will a silnylon poncho work?
@wildernessinnovation
@wildernessinnovation 2 года назад
Yes I do get out of the hammock and the poncho works just fine. The ponchos are designed to me hammocks and tarps, we choose materials suited for the job, in this case very light yet super strong.

how do the plastic snaps hold up?
@AnonymousWon-uu5yn
@AnonymousWon-uu5yn 8 месяцев назад
They're just as strong as metal snaps, but they're better because they will never corrode. I carry this poncho and my flipstick cane as part of my edc so I will always have a seat to rest on while being able to keep dry.

I also ordered the honeycomb ripstop poncho and the stuff sack that it comes in I put this ul poncho in instead because the stuff sack that the honeycomb poncho comes in isn't as slippery as the stuff sack that the ul poncho comes in. The stuff sack that the ul poncho comes in is so slippery that as you're trying to stuff it in it tries to slip back out, which causes it to be pretty hard to slip it into. And the honeycomb poncho is nearly impossible to be able to fit it back into its stuff sack and so I used the hd ponchos stuff sack to stuff the honeycomb poncho into. And the hd poncho is nearly impossible to fit back into the stuff sack that it comes in and so I had to order an extra large stuff sack to put the hd poncho into. And if you order anything, unless it's off the shelf, expect an extremely long wait time before you receive it in the mail because it takes them an extremely long time to make whatever you order.

Looks good. Thats quite the weight reduction. Is it as durable as the original?

Super tough, way more strength than needed.

Wouldn't it be great if you could combine a quick connect strap with a dyneema whoopie sling?

That would be light weight and infinitely adjustable.

We’ve done that in the past, but like the daisy chain webbing better for being a webbing that is infinitely adjustable- thanks

250 pound users, poncho weight is 9 oz, it can be a hammock as shown or a tarp with its 12 tie outs around the perimeter..I used the optional Quick Connect (built in) and Dyneema (HMPE) daisy chain webbing. I love it. Thanks for the comment.

@@wildernessinnovation you mentioned it weighs 9oz. Not sure I am looking at the right one. Your website says 12oz.

@@IanSkelley 12 Oz for the full system he probably means the hammock on its own is 9.

LOL I have sent you no less than 4 emails that never result in a response to my question. I am simply trying to get some information to place an order. I even called to have the call immediately picked up and hung up on. It's pretty amusing.

Sorry about that, we’ve had no office staff for calls, emails etc, everybody shipping..back to it now though - thanks for commenting - Perry
