Something that may or may not help you, your finger should only pull the trigger just enough to break, and let off just enough until it resets. It should be like your finger is flicking the breaking point back and forth and your finger never comes off the trigger. The finger should reset the trigger before the gun finishes cycling, essentially letting the recoil reset it for you due to how lightly you are pulling the trigger past the breaking point. The best way to get a feel for this is to dry fire and keep your nonfiring hand on the bolt/slide and manually reciprocate it as you only move your trigger finger slightly. This helps in rapid firing semi autos, and shooting for precision. The placement of the finger on the trigger doesn't matter as much as the actual distance the finger travels while pulling the trigger.
