RU-vid is weird, it keeps showing me videos with your comments in it. Also I’m the dad from techstar who looked at your car when you had transmission issues.
Oh, come on, don't be so harsh, this is a worthy update... Also, to everyone that's following this project, give some love to JustDriven, they're great professionals, with great ideas, and they really enjoy sharing them!!
You can see dirt in the clear-coat in the video at multiple points in time, not flawless. Hopefully they plan to wetsand and buff it all, then it'll look tits
Craig so awesome to see the Supra come out of paint. It looks amazing and I absolutely love it. How cool to resurrect such a legendary icon! It was nice to talk with you in person at R's Day. I hope to see this Supra build next summer in person. 🔥🔥🔥
Nice I love your channel Craig I remember watching behind the scenes on the DVDs you talking about the movie etc and the red Evo 8 with that hot model doing the graphic design on it good old memories that won't ever die
*_Thank so much for putting so much value into our emotions...you cannot imagine the magnitude of impact one gets reliving nostalgia...the family...friends and the glorious days...you are a TRUE HERO_*
Craig, I think you guys really need to take this thing down PCH for a stop into Neptunes Net. Would make for a great photo shoot and finish to the build.
I am so happy i have met the dutch guy with all the cars and i could sit in the real supra. That was a moment of a lifetime seeing all those cars in that dudes vault. Wish i could go back.
Yes ive alwayz been a fan of reconstructing after paint.. Everybody else hated it😱.. Theirs a select few of us that likes it..lol just wild ones haha.. Thnx 4ur tyme luvit
They don’t put up enough videos if it. I have requested that they do a more step by step process of the build so we have it to reference, but they said they can maybe do two videos a week, but that’s not just the Supra. I mentioned to them that with their quality of with they should be documenting each build and launching videos non stop. It would be a whole mother revenue stream that they didn’t count on
With all of that time and effort being put into the car, it would only make sense to put genuine neon in it... regardless of if it was shown on screen or not.
Looks great, but I hope there's going to be a good amount of wet sanding to fix all that texture in the paint. There's some runs, lots of uneven orange peel (one panel to another it doesn't match), dust nibs all over. etc.
Since the car is partially assembled, on the outside, I’m guessing it’s not going be wet sanded. I would have a heart attack if my paint job came out like that. Unless it was orange peel in 1999.
The coolest part on this car is the TRD hood all the other parts are naff as fuck, i thought that back in the day and still think that now, the best car in f & f 1 was bigbird, the yellow R33
I love the Supra, but that black/red striped AW11 in the back I hope to see getting some love as well on their channel. The Prodigy - Smack my Bi$%# up shout out 100% still a rad track.
Hey Daryl instead of selling it or auctioning it off why not just keep it and add it to your collection? Keep it as a memory? You and your team have put a ton of time and effort and money into this project, don’t let it go to waste (don’t sell or auction it).
Coming from a Supra owner, the headrest single stitching on the new Stitchcraft seats looks to be off to me and looks cheaper then the OEM double stitching the original Supra had.
@@sauce3508 I didn't look at every panel but I didn't see any orange peel. Maybe some slight texture here and there. The dirt nibs is what I saw the most of. And the fact that their still there shows you it hasn't been color sanded so the painter did a pretty good job based on the fact that there isn't much texture at all. At least the panels that I saw are pretty dang flat
@@sauce3508 yea a bit of weirdness in the mud gaurd, maybe a run they sanded out? The rockers had a tiny bit of texture but nothing that wouldn't pass on a new car
I really hope you guys take the time and send the car to a professional detailer to remove the imperfections in the paint, it’s looking great, it just needs that final touch.
We still need to wet sand and buff the paint. We have to wait for the paint to bite down first. This was still very fresh paint at the time of filming.
@@JustDriven awesome! You awesome are killing it! Not sure if you can, but an idea would be a detail edit, even if it’s b roll, that stuff is car porn for sure🔥
@@jamesk3565 I would love to see them recreate Craig's GTR how it was before the movie, not the black one, the blue one with the red decals, that was the best look for that specific car
Looks great! I would stick with the original neon lights for authenticity reasons. A lot of the young guys have never seen real neon kits. Also when these cars are done and you are showing them, please bring it up to the Northeast.
@@JustDriven Hey thanks for replying! Totally understand if you do sell it btw, it's your car and your money, but yeah would be great if it sticks around for a while. It's a beautiful build, cheers!
When I was young I spent all my money on a Supra to get girls. I got no girl to consent to coitus because I realised they are not sexually attracted to men who are so fat they cannot directly observe their own genitals. I'm now going to the gym to lose my belly.
