Hey Guy's! I just got my 524 and put it on today, and took it on my first ride. Thank you! Im so grateful you do all these videos you do. I like this tire alot! I also wanted to buy one for the rear too. And thank you again for trying that out! you saved me a return too.😂 I'm currently running Maxxis on rear. I ride in rocky gravely and desert terrain. Shinko feels great 👍

Tire Update: Now that we have done a good amount of riding and tried out some new tires, we are still happy with the Shinko 524 in the front but have found the Shinko 241 to perform very poorly in any sort of moisture. We have also seen people running the Kenda Trackmaster K760 in 100/90-19 and to our knowledge that is the largest rear tire that fits on the Sur Ron without Modification (except wider wheel). We have ridden it in size 70/100-19 and it works well. It is on the harder side of things but the tread pattern works well both on hard pack and mud.

I do like 60% road 40% off-road riding I run the Shinko 244 front and rear and it’s absolutely perfect so if anyone is looking for a dual sport tire that’s the one to go with

Yeah front wash out on me all the time,I'm running stock cst dual sport,I mostly ride onroad so I'll burn them down before replacing 😀

I’ve rode my sur Ron with stock wheels on straight boulders and down deer trails haven’t had any punctures not the best tires wear down fast but they work

Thanks, good video. Was surprised to hear you say that you only changed the front brake pads. I got 2 sets but only changed my rear pads. I hardly use my front brakes since it's way more fun to kick out your rear-end and skid. I sound like a little kid LOL.

Great job guys! In Utah the trials rear tire is not as great, too much sand/desert riding loose dirt riding. Since these are motocross FRONT specific designed tires for 85cc race bikes there are tons of great front tire options but not so much for rear. So far the fav rear tire is the Kenda Trackmaster K760 which has a paddle like tread pattern and much closer to what a normal rear tire design looks like. I can't wait to see what you do with an 18" rear wheel, interesting idea...the main problem with the rear tire is it's too narrow and lacks traction and not much room to improve with current MX tire choices.
