I hadn’t had a dirt bike in decades. Got on the Sur-Ron and kept wanting to push the rear brake foot lever. Didn’t even know I had remembered motocross bikes had foot brake levers. Took a while to get used to the Sur-Ron setup including the long reach from fingers to brake levers. Once I got used to it I just decided to stay with the setup. Great bike. Thanks for the video.

GReat video! I’m waiting on my new Sur Ron x from Luna right now! Such a difficult wait! Videos like yours make the wait a lot more bearable. So glad there’s a nice sized community of people upgrading and fixing these bikes and posting videos! Makes the jump into an electric bike seem more manageable. Thanks for the vid I’ll like and sub

Hey Matt one thing that’s easy to make and works well that could help if you ever mount a high front fender again is a small aluminum fender brace, I bet you could fab one up in no time if you ever go that route again. Take care and thanks for posting!

I got mine yesterday and just tried it out today and it's a blast. Getting a more powerful battery/controller kit that'll make capable of hitting over 70mph lol. Definitely going to be a ton of fun!

The front/rear brake setup is location based as well. In the UK I know most have the front brake on the right and rear on the left. I didn't know the Sur Ron followed that. When I get mine I'll definitely be swapping that over, good info.

Hey! Great video. I’m planning on getting the saints, does the existing surron brake rotor work with it? Or will I have to get new ones? Would you suggest a magura mt5?

Nice! Looks like you have the "medium" or "standard" mudhugger. Is it a bit longer than you need? I am wondering if I should get the "small" which is 80mm shorter than this one.

The reason the rear brake is on the right handle bar end is to allow the left hand free for hand signaling in traffic.🙋

Only if you drive on the wrong side of the road lol in the UK its always been front brakes on right same as a motorcycle, anyway cool bike

We need Sur-Ron with at least 30% more power and range , name it Su-Ron XT with battery 74V 60Ah , current model is good for 70kg / 150 LBS rider only

There are something like 4 different fork variations for Sur Rons, depending on when you got it, and who you got it from.

Can you determine what would be an equivalent cc gas motor to your electric bike? Is it even possible to make a fair comparison because of weight, etc. ?

According to other Sur Ron owners, I found that it's comparable to 80cc-100cc motors

@@Darkstar22177 that’s about where I put it. Had a two stroke KX 80 as a kid and felt the Sur-Ron was faster but not as fast as a friend’s YZ 125 I had ridden.

Put it this way, it is the only one at this price point(under 4 grand), it has no competition, everybody else is priced at 15 grand all the way to 20 grand for the similar performance. No Competition, so none to compare worthiness :D Buy it cheap and you can upgrade every part of the darn thing at your leisure.
