Hey everyone. In today's video we are going to be covering the Trail Tech Voyager Pro GPS. We will go over the features we find most useful as well as how we chose to install it onto the Sur Ron X. Knowing how far you have gone, and how far you have until you get back to camp is crucial to know on any E-Bike!

Awesome video guys! I've been thinking of the trail tech for quite some time but couldn't justify the cost. If the rest of my buddies end up getting them then the buddy feature might make it worth it because I do like to ride ahead and then wait for the rest of the crew to show up. How can I find out about that headlight mount you had made? I really like it!

Hey , is there a better way to plug it than in the headlight? I've been trying to plug it in the ignition switch but not working for now.

Don't plug into ignition!! That's a 60V direct line and I dont think that the trailtech runs on anything other than 12V.

Thank you, I didn't understand what the GPX routs do, if you already have the geo PDF. Can you set waypoints on trails, and have it give you directions, like google would do, but for back roads? And last question, can it make its own maps? I have a trail system that's not mapped, as in could I make my own geo-PDF using this device?

Ian, you can set waypoints on trails but this will not be able to give step by step directions like google maps. That being said, you could use an online website to make a GPX route that takes the same path of any google map direction route, just without interactive pop ups. You can make your own maps with it! It works really well to track yourself riding a trail, name it, and save it to your SD card. Once you have your GPX trails, you can build a geo-pdf with them on your computer. I may make a video going into more depth of the features in the future but this was meant to be a feature highlight video.👍🏼

HOW DO YOU DOWN LOAD THESE MAPS? AND FROM WHAT SIGHT THIS HAS BEEN THE MOST DIFFICULT COMBURSOM THING IVE EVER USED.. TIA

Seems like this just could be an app on your cell phone. Download an offline map.

Could be. We’ve tried quite a few and nothing really compares for Buddy tracking and accuracy.

Gaia Gps is my favorite app for not getting lost

I have Gaia and Avenza, both free and both download most maps free. Avenza shows the trail numbers and staging areas, Gaia doesn't. They both record my brutal single track rides but I keep the phone in my pocket now because I haven't found a mount that I trust. Both mounts that I've had broke, pure luck that I found the phone. I suppose I could get a cheap phone that I don't mind losing or breaking. A dedicated GPS like this should be sturdier and you have your phone as a backup.
