Surf Fishing & Catching Sand Crabs In Redondo / Torrance Beach 

I recommend using the sand crabs with the soft shells, that’s how I had the most luck. You could also try throwing a lucky craft jerk bait, those work well for nice halibut.

Go smaller on the sand crabs w/ the c-rig. 3-4 on a hook and you’ll get some sweet bites 😀

I recommend you use lighter gear. You look like you catching tuna. Go 6'6 or 7 ft Medium light using 1/2 oz Carolina rig.

Trust me when I tell you this…..bigger is not better when using sand crabs. The ideal size is no bigger than your pinky or ring finger nail, with size 4 or 6 circle hook, snelled.Set up a high/low rig and they will set the hook themselves.
