Nick!!! Where are you brother? I check for new videos everyday. I hope your good. I'll keep checking. I think I've watched all your videos at least five times each. Hope your ok I remember on one video you kinda touched on maybe a injury when you were deployed. If that's it then Gods speed.
You should do a trifecta clam early morning at dark on your going low tide , then go get your perch clean them and run to the jetty and get your crab it’s an all day thing buddy lol
Hello, nice video. Thank you. Could you make more videos in surf-fishing and detail the montages. I am a beginner and passionate about fishing the seaside and rocks.
Just wanted you to know. I'll be out there in Tillamook from the 11th of June to the 17th. I would love to hook up with you and throw some lines. You can even video it if you like. Show all my rookie mistakes.
Going to yaquina bay in a couple of weeks.. is it legal to use hooks with barbs to fish at the pier and jetty? Also, if I use a pole to cast my crab snare, can I still use another pole to fish for perch without having a two-pole endorsement? Thanks
Does the age of the bait matter? I've been wondering about this for a while I use salted mussels alot and after a while (especially if i add garlic) they start to smell like a wet dog and I've wondered if that turns fish away from them or if they still recognize it as food and go for it.
I just bought a used Rockaway and Daiwa BG 3500. Can’t wait to give it a go out in the big pond. Have you ever had any close calls with waves knocking you over? We are having some big tide sets and apparently it’s a problem for some folks? I’ve never had an issue with it but just curious if you have?
@@FlyByFrancis loved my Celilo. I fished that before buying the Rockaway. It was a 9’, 10-30, 1-2oz, typically a tossed 2-3oz when surf fishing. I ended up buying the Rockaway cause I wanted a dedicated set up, I was tired of re-rigging the Celilo every time for surf fishing. I haven’t used the Rockaway yet but it feels nice and it’s 12’ 1-4oz so I shouldn’t have a problem casting far if needed.
@@asully70 Thanks for sharing, I've been torn between the Rockaway vs the Celilo for Perch Surf fishing. I think I'll go with the Rockaway next time I purchase big. For now I'm making do with the gear I already have. :)
@@FlyByFrancis Celilo will definitely do the job! Caught a lot of perch with that rod. It’s my backup heavy jetty salmon spinner rod and backup float rod. Like mentioned, I was just tired of swapping reels/terminal gear so I bought the Rockaway. Good luck out there, hope you catch a bunch
Internet fishing etiquette to not share spots and blow the place up with fishermen. In a place like this, probably not a big deal as the ocean is big and can handle the pressure but small rivers and lakes where there’s only a limited number of holes to fish…. 🙅🏼♀️. Get out and fish! It’s actually funny, I’ve bumped into him on multiple occasions out on the water.
Not this time around..I had my window of time to fish that’d keep me from sitting in traffic for hours on the way home.. this was a quick get in and get out.
Dude. Another entire video of: Your fishing reel, and some clips of fish. I told you in a previous thread, you need camera work to capture at the very least the rod , so we can fish vicariously with you. This entire video, fishing, is a partial image of your reel. Nothing more. I thought you’d get it by now. I’m a subscriber and I love your channel, but dude. Fix this.
Toby I don’t recall putting you on the payroll as an advisor. I’m fishing with a rod that is almost 11ft long and kinda needs to be up in the air so I can keep my rig from just dragging around in the sand. It’s either partial reel and some fish, or the rod and the sky.. obviously I can’t set my camera any further back into my chest and considering how our beaches are here and the wave break, I can’t just set up a camera on a tripod right next to me and get external shots like a lot of other guys can in different states. Since you know what to expect with my surf fishing videos for now, feel free to just not watch.
