Spds function is to protect the devices from surges which is in microseconds frequency. Lightning and surges will not be sensed by MCB/RCCB. So spd is needed sir

What will be the rating of surge protection device and it's type for a duplex. If lightning rod install over the building do I need install the surge protection device? Or I install the both lightning rod and surge protection device
your asking imbeciles....look at the answers you got below. Anyway ill answer with i know FOR SURE....i dont answer what i dont know or havent cross checked. So the fact is....SPD devices will protect from lightning strikes to your grid transformer and line. So the lightnings electric charge will come instead of your normal grid power and enter your meter box (which will blow and then almost every appliance in your house connected to the plug points and in on condition will blow. Firstly when there's a lightning storm, switch off everything. SPD will protect you in this kind of wire charge. For direct building hits you have to install lightning rod on top of your house.
One question. Mostly these are rated like 275v continuous. Suppose more than 275v comes for a fraction of second, tneb surge....that time this will CUT the power to home or it will divert only EXCESS voltage to ground and the house will still receive 275v without any interruption ?
@@JEYRAMTECHENTERTAINMENT > NO sir what im saying is.....in my house stabilizer will safety cut off if exceed 300v....so every one hour the stabilizer cuts and reboots...its doing its job correct....eb spike is coming every one hour high like 350 etc for lesser than one second.. i want to stop the continuous rebooting...ac etc will get spoiled...... So if i put this surge arrestor...will it handle less than half second spikes and keep the supply continuous within its rated power without allowing only the half second spike to go thru.
