I literally started doing live sets with eurorack because of this video. I've got two albums being released this year and I've never felt so musically and creatively inspired in my life. thank you tony.
It's like a magical trio: the guy in the burial shirt, red polo-guy and the guy with the blue and white striped t-shirt. Spacing on the same level but moving in different ways...
I have listened to this fully atleast 10 times and still I get goosebumps when I listen it now 🔥🔥🔥🔥 go to his gig atleast once and you'll know how this master makes sounds 🙌 ❤
Anthony.... this must have been one of your most crazy sets.... saw you a lote of times... even now in 2022 still goosebumps allover.. thanks for this experience...greetzz from an old raver
I really mostly listen to this while working. I happened to look down at my phone only to be met with "Red Shirt Guy" staring at me, dead in the eyes. I shuddered and immediately posted this comment.
Such an awesome set, not a massive 4 to the floor fan but this is pretty sick, bonus points for the creative use of a eurorack. Someone give those people some chewing gum, Surgeons mutant kick drum is operating on their jaws!
@@Beaufort-Wes I'm still watching. Played a Techno Set last night at my first set-up Gig. Using this as inspiration for the next (can't remember my password for the above account but I assure you it's me Joseph)
techno genius! l remember talking to him in the dance factory Birmingham 93 about musical influences coil cabaret Voltaire severed heads etc now hes my biggest influence just love what hes done for ind techno cant wait for house of god in oct : )
A true legend and a legendary set. Absolutely kills it with the minimalistic sound that comes perfect together @ 25:00 - 26:30. The build-up and release to a droning harmonic overlay with the deep background is true legendary sound. Would have liked to be there.
+sharkwater haha one of the first things I noticed too. I might be wrong about this, but I'd say maybe because most are music geeks that just want to see a guy play a live modular set. I hate to sound sexist but MOST women don't give a shit about that technical aspect of it.
+Clay Ford nicely put and I agree it's not about trying to pull pussy at these sets it's about loving those trippy techno sounds...I wouldn't care less who I was dancing with off my face on mdma listening to these masters at work 👍
Now, finally after 10 years I understand why his name is surgeon. LOOK AT THAT CABLES, THAT CABLE-JUNGLE! Like millions of human veins. Only THIS surgeon can operate with them!
U.K represent. Stomping set & loving the bounce! Clever work. The 'track' at 16:00 for me just monsters it every time, love the awesome jagged vocal loop.
Definitely not a Burzum shirt.... It is taking the p*** out of Burzum, thats a Disney B and a picture of Bambi. Luckily Mr Child's musical taste doesn't really extend to nazi sympathiser murderers...
I was wondering why the B looked off... thats funny though Believe it or not I dont care one bit about what political views varg might have had or that he killed a guy. His music is truly magical to me and that's why I love Burzum.
Oh yeah definitely his music is phenomenal, and the textural, grim uncomfortableness he puts across is second to none, I just wouldn't ever want to put money in his pocket!
Nice, yes!! Mid-way from hardness Surgeon is used to and Boiler Room "smooth and federative music". Very clever gig! And glad to see finally someone (and not the least dude ;) who uses Trigger Riot to sequence. Forgotten drum tool, but to me still the best techno seq-answer!
