SURPRISE BEAR | BEAR HUNT 4K | EP 2 | PUBLIC LAND 

This series is on another level of documenting a real hunt. I too think the “did you know” boxes are great. Not your average bear hunt at all. Those are some insane climbs. So glad I found this channel.

I love the “did you know?” boxes, it just feels like you’re teaching more than you realize.

I love Brian, Ryan and the gang...but the star of the show is the terrain. Incredible country. Looks insanely rugged and tough. As always, thanks for sharing.

Brian, don't beat yourself up with the videos that you produce saying that you're just swimming with your head above the water!! Dude, you EASILY have the best put together hunting shows. Entertaining, educational, and down right showing that you are men among men. You are the best! Keep staying gritty!

Now this is real hunting. I quit watching hunting shows years ago because they started to go the wrong way. You guys are the real deal. You work your asses of during season and off season. I do like how all of you are opportunistic, cause hunting doesn't always break your way. You take the good with the bad and do what you need to do. Now you still have a chance at the big boy and now also have a bear under your belt. Great work in doing it, and if you get the one who went over the ridge its basically a 2 for 1.

Wow. Just wow. You guys continually impress. That is some hard hunting in some hard terrain. Really appreciate all the effort you all put into talking about the technical aspects of what you are doing like setting up your camp on the steep terrain. Necessity is the mother of invention! I love the engineering of a flat sleeping area. I would agree, if not flat it makes for a long night. The side note is, you have a nice seat to sit on! Just so you know, I watch your videos because of the difficulty and commitment you show! There are not many that will walk up and down very steep mountains. Most are just ridge walkers. Great example and something for me to work towards. Thanks for sharing!

I have been watch a bunch of hunting channels and the truth is your channel is content done to a higher level. Started watching a video at 10:30pm, keeping them rolling and it's 2:30 now. Great stuff.

You really know who your friends are when you say I'll hold them open while you look and they say you have to do it for me too. We soak our outer layers in permethrin to combat the ticks.

“...Is the chase!...” Full quote at the end . This episode just reiterates what I have come to truly enjoy about like minded people. I commented on the 1st video about the ethics of fair chase and this is the quote I jotted down 4 years ago in one of my sons Hunter Safty class put on by an 80 year old bad to the bone Veteran!!! From our local VFW (thanks Chuck). It was from at least the 70s. I wish I new exactly the name of the movie it came from , it was a homemade video of a lot of old clips from many old classss!! “What separates hunting from killing is the chase! Most people don’t understand the level of effort required to actually hunt a set of mountains like your team. I backpack hunted Montana with a heavy pack, not carrying cameras, and I highly respect your level of effort

Good stalk. I personally couldn't pull on a bear unless it was a problem bear. That's the beauty of the hunt, your spirit talks louder to you than when you're in the noise of civilization and tells you what to take, and what to leave.

I’m a paralyzed guy from Pa. I still hunt and fish. I’m actually going to Wyoming in September to do an antelope hunt. But some things I just won’t ever get to do anymore. Hiking back to a place like this is one of them. Sometimes I just pause your videos and look at the different scenery. So thanks for giving me a chance to see some stuff I wouldn’t get to see on my own!!

So you zero in on a location after seeing a really good bear, and as the next couple of days pass, you find he was probably the runt on the mountain. That's quite the honey hole! Brian working his ass off climbing that slope, and he's got his hat off to the side so that ginormous vein on his temple can radiate even more heat, you can't stage that stuff, I Love It! This entire hunt, the incredible terrain you guys are in boggles the mind. I feel like when I wake up, if I didn't have coffee in me first to gather my senses, I'd be going downhill like Ryan's bear after the shot if I tried to stagger out and take a leak.
