We dont have them bowfins here in my neck of the woods, but they look like they put up a good fight.

They can be a nuisance in my area, weren’t here 9-10 years ago, but as you did say, one hell of a fight, there will be a video on strictly fishing for bowfin in the near furure as they’re spawning right now and mighty aggressive!
