Bought one two weeks ago and I literally cannot believe how affordable it is. I look at other SUVs in the parking lot and mine is the best looking. And half the cost. I love this thing.
Considering the car capacity itself, the pricing policy for Trax is reasonable for the consumers. By the way, Trax is now being a big hit here in Korea and Chevrolet is surprisingly gaining its fame again in here because of the success of Trax. Amazing!
I snagged mine Saturday. I got the mosaic black LT and the one I lucked out on has every upgrade offered in these Trax. I have the sunroof package, the full electronics package wireless apple/Android car play, adaptive cruise control, drivers confidence package, keyless remote start, LT Convenience Package. The seats are the Evotec leatherette/cloth combo. It has heated seats, mirrors and wheel, wireless charging pad, the works and it's fun as hell to drive. Got mine for $26,000 out the door with gap insurance and extended warranty. I happened to be at the dealership as they were unloading it and knew I found a steal as I hadn't seen another LT fully loaded like this anywhere and this one had more upgrades than any of the RS trims I had looked at. I prefer the blue accents inside the LT as there are just a few on the dash and not allover the seats like the RS and the blue accents blend with the screen displays. The red or yellow in the other trim models continues it onto the seats which I didn't like at all. The only change I'm making are the gold bowties to black ones. If you can find one like mine there's no way I'd go with a higher trim because really all that changes are the inches of the wheels, a power seat and seat material, and gloss grill. Im obsessed with mine! She's a sexy little thing for this mama to drive around town. 2 of my 3 kids are out of the house now so I got to downsize from my big SUV and this was the perfect little crossover to do it in. I don't need a luxury car I've always been a Chevy girl but I feel like I'm not sacrificing much honestly. The tech in the car is so incredible at this price point, it was a no-brainer and I love it!! My only dislikes was no air vent in the back and I'd love an arm rest with no cup holders in the backseat. Obviously I'd trash the gold bowties and have mine completely blacked out but that's it. Just can't praise this car enough. It's pretty cool because mine is the only one Ive seen on the road here in DFW in Texas so far.
I've watched about a dozen video reviews and literally every one has had nothing but praise for the Trax. Everyone seems surprised how good it is, especially considering the price. I wasn't in the market for a small inexpensive crossover, but I'm going to test drive one of these out of curiosity.
I totally agree that at least the front door armrests should be padded, but not a bad vehicle for the price. Huge improvement over the previous one for sure!
I’m very impressed with this new Trax. (And I had never even considered the previous generation.) This product is made by GM’s Korean subsidiary, and they really did a great job! If I was in the market for a new car, I would definitely test drive this. My only complaint is that while I greatly prefer the Activ trim, I definitely like the larger (and better looking) 19” wheels that are only available on the 2RS trim. Wish those wheels were at least an option on the Activ trim, especially as both the Activ and 2RS trims are pitched as co-equal top trim levels.
The Activ trim gives you everything a base model crosstrek doesnt. For around the same price. Nobody really needs AWD unless you realllllllly need to live off the grid or middle of no where. for a daily commuter, get this car. I severely regret my 2021 crosstrek base. CVTs are too weak and its not even fuel efficient compared to the new Trax. I average 22 mpg on my crosstrek base model, no changes to anything, all stock. sold the POS for the activ trim Trax, had it for 3 weeks now and even in harsh traffic conditions, averaging 31 mpg!
Good review, would be even better if you stated at what engine speed the peak power and torque are developed, shown us the engine compartment and degree of difficulty checking the oil level (is the stick easy to get to and remove/replace and is the stick easy to read the oil level on?) and locating the oil filter so you can see if the oil change facility actually put a new filter on. Also it would be nice if you commented on the degree of difficulty in refilling the windshield washer fluid reservoir, some of them are really difficult to get to. All these points would put your review ahead of your competition who never comment on the common points of everyday maintenance. Thanks.
Road tested one last week was very impressed with it. Left a deposit on it a 2RS salesman said should be in mid July no problem my current lease matures in November so I have some time. Ordered the crisom red 2RS can’t wait!
I mean I get what you saying but I just rather have Hyundai because it has All the luxury features and stuff this just don't have thatbitch so I mean I get what you're saying but I just want to have Hyundai But it's a value and domain it's the um It has the longer warranty so if I have that I will probably be OK so don't trust me
@car confessions: would it be so much more expensive fir a 1.5L or get 150/158 HP. Utility vehicles are for carrying you AND you passengers. We dont get spare tyres, dont get RWD, dont get any tyoe of multi link suspension, dont get low cost Hybrids. Why must we settle for lazy performance for one of the main reason for rhis segment. Base MARP is good but even by your recommendations that's not rhe trim levels rhat will be most purchased
@Erik Sotelo You think heat doesn't affect turbo cars? Hot intake air rushing in makes it.....faster. lol. 0-60 is a sad 9.3 seconds. Fill with a family ... good luck. I can't wait to see how long these new baby engines last.
@@joem7755 i think heat and altitude affects all cars. Especially naturally aspirated ones. Turbo engines tend to do better than their naturally aspirated counterparts. You must not know how engines or turbos work.
Cheap cars get zero respect on the road people will cut in front of you all the time and yell at you for going slow, why even go through that agony just trying to save $10k or so, if you break it into typical 5 year loan it's only $167 a month, after switching my car to a Mercedes driving on the streets is no longer stressful
