Bonidee It’s not a fake penis. It’s a physical organ. It has blood flow from my body and is made of 100% me, there is nothing foreign in it. I have my own nerves in it as well. And if you consider someone with a penis, a flat chest, male hormones, a male identity and no female reproductive organs female then something is seriously up with your conceptions
it's the same things we as a man feel and happen... you only need to work on it... just relax, keep calm... you have a penis in this moment of your life, you obviosly have to work on it... stay strong.

@esor val I'm (straight male) watching this because it's medically fascinating. How does body react to this? Innervation, blood flow, functions, etc. How does brain perceive/associate a new/modified body part. Is immune system recognizing that this is wanted/needed, or will it reject/cut off blood flow? How does person feel now that desire/wish has become reality?
I'm watcing to answer curiosities such as: How quick do different bodies heal? (Not everyone in great athletic shape with great diets and free from alcohol, medicines, drugs, toxins, etc) so healing varies and wondering how different people have been recovering from this and was the procedure satisfactory. I Thinking the penis is not all.. So is important but look that how much pain he had.. I think is better keep like before the surgery.. So any man want to have a penis but the life is like this.. Is not always what we want. So is like the people born Blind and they need accept who they are. @Bonidee Lee No ones claiming transgender people are biologically male or biologically female LOL They have a medical condition called gender dysphoria. To alleviate the dysphoria they change their bodies APPEARANCE into one that will reduce dysphoria. Yes they will never change their dna or chromosomes. No one is arguing that. They are simply living their life to appear as the gender they feel most comfortable in. Maybe one day science will be advanced enough that they can correct gender dysphoria with medication or brain surgery. But until then, transgender people can use the medical treatments offered to them... which is gender reassignment surgery.
That _minimizes_ how often a problem occurs, but doesn't prevent it completely. We're still talking about flesh here, not a garden hose! So even when sitting, a guy can still find himself peeing sideways or in 2 directions at once. Which could end up splattering or even shooting out between the bowl and the seat. But your husbands almost certainly clean up when that happens, so I doubt you've ever learned about those occasions.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I just have to nod and chuckle a little bit at the description of how the urine stream goes in unpredictable directions. Cis guys don't make a mess of toilets on purpose, it just goes with the territory. Welcome to it!
@Bonidee Lee Well, I completely disagree, and frankly this is rude to say on someone's video. I don't have gender dysphoria, but I do experience body dysphoria in other ways, and I fully support people who choose to correct what they experience as mind/body mismatch. I think it's really brave, not only for themselves, but also because it opens them up to uncalled for comments like yours.
Years ago, one evening while having dinner with 1 other guy and 2 women, one of the women made a comment on this very topic. I and the other guy immediately launched into a litany of complaints about waking up in the middle-of-the-night, taking aim, and suddenly finding yourself peeing sideways. Or in 2 directions at once. And then you're trying to clean up one-handed while desperately clamping yourself shut with the other hand. Our two female friends were simultaneously confused, aghast, and amused. They had no idea.
@@John_Weiss EXACTLY. The multi-sideways streams are the worst. And forget about it with any amount erection, especially in the morning. I eventually learned that sitting down in that situation helps, but it's not a reliable fix because sometimes the angle is just right for the stream to go out between the toilet and the seat! My dream is a urinal in my bathroom. So much eaiser.

You cannot slice up otherwise healthy body parts and not encounter complications and long term health risks. This is bad medicine and nothing to be celebrated or encouraged.
Jeremy Lee - that's probably a prudent point, however, in the United States everybody has the right to do whatever they like especially with their own body---definition of freedom. If it makes people feel better, then it should be an option. It's not really a place to pass judgement. It would be like me judging you over why you selected the Big Mac over the McSalad for lunch.
I appreciate you sharing your experience with others who are trans and are also thinking about undergoing this procedure. I feel blessed that I don't experience gender dysphoria, it seems like a lifelong challenge having to undergo these procedures just to feel comfortable in your own body. I born as a male have experienced stream direction flow.. I've learned to do a quick light head squeeze, massage, and pull the slit apart and your good to go, if you are concerned.
Thank you for posting; I hope your difficulties abate and you're comfortably at east with your surgical modification(s). It takes a while for tissue to recover from trauma - especially surgical procedures - so give it time and take care of yourself.
You are courageous and thoughtful to put this out there for others! This is very important testimony, especially for those seduced by the political mantras into thinking these things are as easy as a light switch to change. For someone not fully informed, this could literally be the live saving information that they need to think the entire scope of the process through, thus you could actually be preventing the suicide of someone less strong, who suffers these things and experiences the very _common_ regret from these HUGE unintended, and potentially permanent consequences.

What cis guys do you people encounter? Jock straps and cups are worn during athletic activity. Not just regular walking. If you have that much bounce when you walk, you're doing it incorrectly.

Soo not sure how to feel about this. Part of me feels like, how can this be "being true to yourself" when it requires synthetics, and surgeries that alter you. But, the other side of me can totally understand why you may feel the need to do this. All I can say is I pray you never regret a single one of your decisions. Missy Citty Thank you for wishing me well even though you don’t understand Several people should take note of how you’re responding, Being respectful even if you don’t agree instead of being hateful It’s true to myself because it’s treating my gender dysphoria just like how someone would treat their diabetes with insulin. It allows me to live my life in a healthier mindset and body. It increases my quality of life. I was born with a lack of testosterone so now I’ve increased it and have treated the lack of testosterone, with testosterone and the issues that a lack of testosterone have caused (chest, no penis) have been treated as well so it all aligns. Sometimes it helps to look at it from another perspective because being transgender isn’t as common as say, being diabetic, it isn’t fully understood by others not experiencing it or those who haven’t gotten educated on it.

Thank you for sharing your experiences, most people don't because they think it's too personal but info is always good. I don't know if I'll do bottom surgery, it was always a distant thing due to cost and other reasons. Maybe one day they will make it more affordable. Here I could try getting surgery for free but it's next to impossible due to the waiting list and lack of professionals. Take care, I hope everything is working out for you
@oh no my bread .w. No, it's not a fucking penis. No matter what mutilating surgeries a woman has, she will never a male urogenital system. In particular, she will never have a penis, testicles, a prostate, or a male orgasm. Flaps of skin taken from the forearm and stitched together to form a tube of skin that's sewn onto a sewn-up vagina do not a penis make, even if the skin tube is fitted with an inflatable implant to make it stiff for intercourse, even if enervated tissues are transplanted to provide sensation. The medical term for this surgically fashioned appendage is _neophallus,_ not "penis."
I doubt he'll get much pleasure from it, dude. A neophallus (the medical term for the appendage fashioned from skin grafts in phalloplasty) might look like a real penis from a distance and be adequate for urination, but it doesn't function for sex like a real penis. It needs a pump or other artificial means to be made stiff enough for sex. And he has no prostate, so he shoots blanks, so to speak, and cannot experience a male orgasm. So I doubt he will enjoy his neophallus as much as you or I or other gay men enjoy our penises.

Welcome to the problems of the male world. I'm a biological male and even I occasionally have a problem with urine flowing off course. It has to do with overhanging skin. You have to make sure it is not stuck together and is unobstructed. You have to pull on it to make sure you get a straight flow.
What about a cup? Or like some sort of jock strap type compression device to protect it until it’s fully healed. The pee thing being unpredictable is interesting. I wonder why all the different directions? Oh and bladder spasms are the absolute worst!!! I hope that gets better for you! Take care of yourself!

Jennifer Sinclair I actually haven’t paid much attention to that since I transitioned when I was only 14 so I didn’t really get much of a chance to notice a male privilege against what I felt before and if I have then I’m used to it more now and might not notice it Though I am a smaller guy and I am not super masculine so I fall into a minority there so it may not be as apparent as if I was more like the average cis gender typical masculine guy There’s certain things I have noticed like I’m not afraid to walk alone at night but my female friends are But then I don’t fear loss of opportunities as maybe a female might but I do fear loss of opportunities and feelings of not being enough or having privilege because I’m a short and skinny higher pitched voice guy who looks like I’m 18/19 and not 23 like I am So most of the privilege loss I feel I feel because I don’t match the typical expectation of a cis guy in size and masculinity so it’s hard to speak to just male privilege in general

How far post op were you when you made this video? Some of these things I’m hearing are things that I would hope would go away with time, but maybe that isn’t the case.
Roddy I was only 2 months post op so a lot of things did change or go away or were signs of complications or signs of healing It was just a few things I didn’t think I would be feeling or seeing so I wanted to share with others

Like I said my experience is not everyone’s I chose phallo for the ability to stp, penetration and fill out my underwear For me meta was to risky for stp possibly not clearing my fly and it wouldn’t have filled out the same But if meta does it for you it’s a way less intense surgery with less complications! Chris Moon Yup my nerves were connecting pretty fast! Exploring whether bottom surgery is right for you can seem very daunting For me, I just reached a point I knew I would always wish I had it and wonder what if and that I would never feel 100% comfortable in my relationships without having a penis. I’m very happy now as I just finished all of the stages and here I am finally whole! I say talk to lots of people who have had it but don’t let the complications or healing scare you away from something you need Healing is only a short part of life, while the end results are what you end up with for the long run!
@@Nuthin2kik I wish I could, I live in a very small and closed minded town, so I only have the internet for my information, if I want lower surgery, my closest option is Minneapolis, which is a 4 hour drive for me to the University of Minnesota. I would like more cosmetic stuff done, and for me right now, I'm living on $203/ month, cant really "save up" for anything, and had a horrible run in with my younger nephew who I co-signed a student loan for that is now in collections, so I can't do any fundraising of any kind. So at least I have time to make up my mind I guess lol...
Chris Moon Just so you know there are quite often insurances that will approve you for bottom surgery. Just do some research into them. I don’t know much about which ones or how it works since I’m from Canada and our provincial insurance covers it for us. Although it’s possible to travel for it too! I travelled from BC to Austin, Texas for my stage 1 and 2 and one stricture repair. That was about 10 hours to get there! But I understand not being in a financial position right now
@@Nuthin2kik Wow, that's a huge distance! And usually here in the US, we travel to Canada because you've got cheaper co-pays/prices than we do! I can't travel for now for anything, I have a 15 year old companion cat with health issues that I would never stop worrying about the whole time I was gone, I can't even leave for an overnight trip because I'm afraid I'd come back and he'd be gone. Another thing I always take into account is the things people say they deal with afterwards too, there can be hemorrhaging, extra trips back and such. Sometimes it isn't a "plan to be gone for a week and then be home and heal"... I'm a homebody and hate being in hospital for sure! I have a friend who's going on 70 years old, so to me, I can see that it's "never too late" when I decide to do anything I would like to have done :)
Chris Moon Yup! When the time comes if it’s right for you I’m sure it can work! I’ve had friends go for this surgery who were 50 and older so whatever comfort level and abilities you have is when it’ll happen! Our provincial government sent us to the states, particularly to see Dr.Crane because they believe that he’s one of the best surgeons in terms of technique and would rather pay for us to have the best and least complications than send us to Montreal, in Canada because there were so many complications coming back. I’m very grateful, but it did still come at a cost for travel and while recovering time off work and school. It is hard to predict how long you’ll need off exactly since there can be complications!
I'm not trans, but to support the community, i often watch the videos. And also for the educational aspect. One thing I want to mention is phalloplasty doesn't seem to be a perfected surgery. Seems like the doctors are not always giving all the information they should be discussiing. I say this because each person has different stories about "surprises" as you saying. Why is it doctors aren't giving a lot of information that I compare across the board and you don't know about it after the surgury. Its good that platforms like this allow you guys to connect and have these discussions. They are incredibly helpful to others to get information. I wonder if the trans community should start to create a network of the surgeons and give them a rating system. If they find you do this, they might work to guide you better through the process.
Calvin Davis Thank you for the support Phalloplasty isn’t a perfected surgery but it’s because our bodies are so different from one another and that each person has a risk for complications and because they are using a different graft site, each persons graft site is different. There is no standard one size of penis from phalloplasty because as humans are bodies are different. I don’t think it’s necessarily that we aren’t getting enough information, I think the surprises are subjective to each one of us. What may have surprised me or been different could not be an issue for someone else. I was told about the spraying when I pee issue but even though I was told, knowing it and feeling it is a different thing! Surgeons can’t possibly tell us exactly what each one of us is going to feel or think after, That’s personal, but they can tell us about common themes which I was aware of. I just made this video so that others who haven’t had phalloplasty yet and haven’t talked to their surgeon about the specifics are aware of some of the lesser known specific after effects. The trans community actually doesn’t always mention these things because they are so subjective.

I watch the videos for that reason, to understand, because people are always talking how LBG seems to be separated from T and why. And for me, I want things to be as LBGTQ+ as it should be. Because there are still idiots out there. You may have heard how our idiot President Trump went to the Supreme Court to throw Trans people serving in the military out. All over TV saying he doesn't want Trans people in the military. People were lining up to start marching in the streets in protest. I was going be one of them. Its been quiet and nothing has happened. The Supreme Court didn't put the matter on the Docket. Meaning they will not rule on that issue just because he wants to keep turning clocks backwards despite everyone telling him it's a bad idea. Calvin Davis It’s always great to see people educating themselves :) Yeah it’s sad to hear that the president of your country can be so hateful to trans people! It’s great that you’re being supportive of trans people even in the face of political upheaval The main thing to note is that no it’s not perfect, but it’s so worth it to many ftm’s. I knew going in I would be likely to have complications because it’s such a major surgery but I accepted it because I knew the payoff would be worth it. Any major complex surgery involving transfer or veins, arteries, nerves, and tissue is going to have high risks but it’s amazing that this can even be done! There are so many different techniques now between different surgeons. There are people that say that they are waiting until technology improves before they get phalloplasty due to many myths about it. Technology has improved and it is very successful! My genitals now very much resemble natal males genitals and for me and many others pushing this surgery to wait for something better is not and was not an option because every day without it, I was dying a little on the inside. Waking up every day in mental anguish and pain wasn’t worth waiting any longer. Now I wake up painless!

You’re not in the same boat. Natural male organ has structures that continue inside the body and a suspensory ligament and does not just hang off the pubis with stitches, unsupported. Plus this is a wound with traumatised tissues that have been transplanted, hence pain. Native men don’t have surgical pain there.
All the comments saying that they can’t understand why anyone would do this shouldn’t even have an opinion on the subject at all. Or at least voice one. A degree in psychology is helpful to understanding that transgender is indeed a real thing that happens not only in humans. There is no cure but there are remedies to ease mental pain and dysphoria and that remedy is to transition.

I have watched many of these trans videos. What I noticed is the views are high before and during surgery to cheer the person on. Then those millions of views go to down thousands after the surgery. Is it because they really didn't care about you in the first place?
From the videos I have watched there seem to be a lot of things that the doctors didn't discuss with patients. I find that doctors need to be more up front.
Rachel Schwebach it is really hard for them because there are so many variables it’s not a standard medical procedure because it’s making another organ out of body parts. It comes out very different for each person and the doctors can’t even predict the length it’ll be until they actually are doing the surgery and then they have no idea how the patient will respond emotionally and sometimes physically. I did have to sign a waiver and watch a video on all of the potential risks but the little things aren’t always mentioned. I understand this and so I actually realized that I’ve learned a lot about the little things from trans support groups that deal with the topic of phalloplasty
I'm only about two minutes in, and as a regular hetero dude - just a suggestion - fruit of the loom boxer briefs. Try 'em on if you have to, make sure they are a good, snug, fit, and it will keep the twig and berries in place while you run, or make movements that make it flop around. I say Fruit of the Loom because they have have a little bit of length where it goes onto the legs, if that makes sense. Hanes are horrible - they cut off even with the goods and they end up pinching, etc. throughout the day. The Fruit of the Looms stay pretty snug, especially with the "separation" that the leg material provides. Good luck to you and your future, and thanks for posting this - I ended up watching it after I saw the title because I actually wondered what it was like to have a penis if you weren't actually used to one (laughing) because I have had gf's ask me what it's like "lugging that thing around" lol. You'll get used to it, and it will be like it isn't even there after you do. But, trust me on the Fruit of the Loom boxer briefs - give them a try.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely give that a try! This was over a year ago now and I’m definitely more used to it all now, but it was a big adjustment even if I had an idea of what I was going to feel, thinking and feeling is another thing! It feels so natural on me now like it was always there :)
Hmm, as a cisgender male I guess I haven't experienced *any* of these problems, so hopefully they will all clear up for you, too. My wife says that some men can *expand* a geat deal (2x-3x), and some cannot (they are big all the time), I am of the former type so I have very lightweight equipment. The only things that go wrong, rarely, is during urination, the aiming / stream splitting into 2 or 3 channels, usually it's because of stiction near the tip of the urethra and a small pinch top-bottom can open things up. And sometimes mr. happy can try to get out from under the cotton-brief underwear band, getting himself pinched, which is why you sometimes see males shoving their hands down the front of their pants, for a quick realignment :-)
Anyone who has this surgery has got to be insane. It's like Professor Frankenstein trying to create a hybrid human out of spare parts. Completely nuts.
Bless your heart! Any surgery is difficult, this technically non-elective surgery must've been so tough & nerve-wracking to go through. Congratulations on another step of becoming yourself. Hugs to everyone who needs one today x I'm a cis-mum of 3 differently gendered (now adult) kids, I had my boobs done back in 2006, which was elective, & I kept walking into things like doors and the top bannister of the stairs! It was a painful recovery, & I only had two incisions to cope with.

Thanks for the video and your courage for doing it for the world to see I'm sure that you've really helped allot of people who might not of been told these things that you went into detail with either an it's much appericated. I really hope that things gotten better for you. It's been almost a year since this video I was wondering if you would be interested in doing another video and letting everyone have an update on how you are doing now? N if things has gotten way better for you ? And if you're really happy that you had the surgery done or if you regret having it done? And this next question is going to sound stupid probably but imma ask it anyways. Has it changed your sex Life any? I mean i know that it has changed of course but that's not what I'm talking about though. I'm talking about like is it better then before or do you hurt when performing and if it regained the size back or did you shrink more? I know those are all really personal questions an everything an I do apologise for them if I'm outta line then I'm sorry an please just let me know. An if you don't want to answer those questions I asked you I completely understand an it's ok. @shutup shit head Waiting is not always feasible because of bottom dysphoria For me the dysphoria was so bad I needed surgery ASAP and it’s paid off for sure! I feel so much better and now I’m a much healthier person because I got it done :)
Fellow Canuck here. (Near Windsor) Had a few chuckles here, I hope as time passes the sensitivity decreases!! A lot of these (in the beginning of your vid) definitely sound like general having penis problems. Lolol 😊 ❤✌🏼✌🏼
rocknchickadee my full graft site was in my arm where I had the nerve pains since they went in and took two nerves and disrupted my existing radial nerve which was causing the pain It’s now adjusted and doesn’t hurt

Som how did this fix the dysphoria exactly? Does this seem worth it? Hope any youngsters seeing this have been properly forewarned. Just accept your body if you have a healthy, functional one. This just isn't worth the dangers, scars and after effects.
It probably alleviated his gender dysphoria. ‘Just accept your body’ very easy to say when you don’t suffer from gender dysphoria, we should respect his decision to get phallo.
OMG yes, having big pendulous breasts is NOT comfortable. I can picture that sensation being elsewhere. Running is no joke. Well, now I understand why there is pee right/left of the toilet and not dead center. Apparently, they are tricky to AIM. You could sit, but I understand the principle. I'm a stomach sleeper, so I can imagine that is out for you. I had no idea that your flesh would be so very sensitive to touch for that long after. The numbness goes away as the nerves rejoin. All the love, honey. You got this!
Wow, not to be able to sleep comfortably sounds hard😳 Can you sleep without meds meanwhile? How did all the difficulties change over time? Running and peeing better now or is that permanent?
Mike MakesRight he did! I had to sign a consent form with all of the risks, these are just individual things I discovered upon healing or leading to complications. Each persons journey and what they notice can be different I was very well informed before but the doctor can’t predict how you will respond to everything after
My voice didn’t drop much and I talk faster and more from my throat. If I talked much slower and monotone I could make it deeper but honestly I don’t care
