Clarification: The "H" is silent in the Green Hmong dialect but not in the White Hmong dialect and it does not pronounce "Hermong". There are quite a few consonant cluster sounds (i.e. hl, hm, hn, etc.) in Hmong that can not be pronounced in any other language except in Hmong. You have to hear it from a native speaker to notice it.

The Hmong language was written in Romanized Popular Alphabet (RPA), a version of the Latin alphabet. Example. PHENG is said as Peng (H-is silence), not FANG with the (PH). Good to see old these old things in a video!
It depends what accent you have. Miao in China have less air nasal. The miao in Yunnan call themselves H - Mao. Very similar and close pronounce to H mong
