The hardest part is just stopping with the one repair. After doing it once, it's addicting to keep wanting to restore other things retro stuff. You are genuinely the reason that I’ve started fixing Game Consoles myself and I have started to collect different GameBoys over time when I find them for good deals in my hometown in Alabama. Your video in America made me laugh because that is genuinely just a regular large town small city in America from the looks of it, and our crosswalks suck nationwide

The gameboy being broken actually made this a better video, it added another element to the video by having the boys fix it so it wasn’t just about giving the gameboy to Jimmy. This is cool to see!

Although I've always been a fan of the SP, nothing and I mean NOTHING will ever come close to that feeling when I switched on my first ever GameBoy Colour that a friend of my parents brought me as a gift and I witnessed the colour screen. Keep doing what you do Ellis, you are great at it obviously and the love your have for the GBC all or things Nintendo for that matter is simply outstanding! From a Greek who lives in York and hasn't properly played any Pokemon games yet - all about taking that first starter to the max I guess. :-P

Elliot and a lot of other RU-vidrs are who's making me wanna collect and fix retro stuff once I graduate. Out of every era of gaming, there's not one era that makes me want to collect more than Nintendo's first few consoles.

I'll be honest. I guess on the scale of people on RU-vid to do work with he is a big deal? I don't really understand the appeal of his content apart from him just flashing an absurd amount of cash. But your channel actually has some heart, you make genuinely interesting content where as he just comes across a little shallow? Cool, but don't lose sight of what you do and don't feel like you need to capitalise on his popularity for the boost in views

As much as i enjoyed the video i still think that this stuff should be preserved/handed by people who actually love collecting/playing this, people that are really into retrogaming and they do it almost daily. Giving such a rare item to a person just because it's famous and you gain something back, it's a waste for collectors who actually are seeking this stuff, not to mention that they will appreciate it most. The "fashion" side of this scene really disgust me.
