Yes exactly. Can someone please explain this to men who complain that apparently women only find 20% of men attractive? I see this thrown around a lot in these Red Pill/MGTOW groups who try to make a point that women are too picky. No, most women NEED to get to know a man in order to find him attractive. It's pretty rare to see a man and immediately find him attractive unless he's super good looking. That's why they only find 20% of men good looking. Women need more than looks before they find a man "attractive". On the flip side, a man who is attractive can open his mouth and instantly that attraction is gone.

It's like man is so bloody selfish, the lady has to make ALL the compromises! For how long?? Personally, I'm tired of being at his back and call and being a puppet to HIS feelings, HIS needs, HIS wants, HIS likes and dislikes... After doing all that, he's just taken me for granted and now this marriage is all about HIM. He doesn't really bother if I'm in pain or I'm upset by his actions - and all hell breaks loose if he is unwell, if he is under stress and pressure or if he is offended by anything or anyone from internal or external forces. Why do I have to run my life's clock around HIM? It's like I'm his personal robot, not a wife. Of late, even my kind actions are rebuffed with "you're disturbing me" (Eg. Last night I covered him when he was shivering and he woke up blaming me for 'disturbing his beauty sleep' for crying out loud!) I honestly feel like walking away on account of his selfishness and lack of appreciation.
Twinkly - That doesn’t sound like a loving, healthy relationship. I can’t tell for sure, but there are signs...you should check out what “covert narcissism” is...see if he checks the signs of it. It’s all about them..everything, they control the relationship, they make you feel or tell you you’re crazy (especially if you confront them), pathological liars, they are always the victim, serious money problems, no empathy, extremely charming, can’t communicate like an adult, no care for your well being, love bomb you in the beginning or when they want something from you..the list goes on. It’s traumatic abuse and you must get out. But if he’s not one, then this still isn’t good for you, please don’t allow yourself to go down this rabbit hole of being controlled where you lose yourself. I also notice a key word you mention, and that is (IF) I guess my guy wasn't looking for a (commitment or I wasn't what he was looking for) because he was easy to let me go when I told him he couldn't give me what I wanted and walked away. So I will keep being the women I am meant to be and find the guy who is ready to commit to me.

Not true at all! There is a lot of decent men out there. Unfortunately it's the ladies that usually has NOTHING to bring to the table: low wage jobs/ unemployed, overweight and unkept. Next he says he doesn’t want a relationship! Twice I have completely backed off. COMPLETELY. Hi Doc! New student here but I would like to comment on kindness. I have practiced it several times with dating and men seem to think I have a secret agenda. They are not used to a woman being kind. For example went on a dinner date and the restaurant didn't serve beer. Next date he came in and I told him I called a different restaurant to make sure they had beer. He laughed and said now I am going to order wine. Sure enough he ordered wine and I thought this asshole is not for me!

Guys don't have as strong typing as girls do. For me, and probably most guys, attractiveness is less a collection of traits but more of a one-dimensional value from 1 to 10. Any positive traits such as being charming, intelligent, kind, good looking would of course contribute to the attractiveness value, but more specific categories do not affect attractiveness as much.
