If you've ever used a panoramic image feature on your phone camera you'll understand how this works. It has your car's dimensions, and a historical image that it can stich together as u reverse, and place ur car inside this image knowing its dimensions. Impressive piece of kit! Congrats! Oh and it doesn't need to use a g sensor. It will use image matching to calculate shift in direction therefore steering angles
I don't have the back up camera and never really thought about getting one. But, I just watched a 25 minute video of one and was totally engaged. I know I would be driving in reverse in places where any sane person would be driving forward. Tech these days, wooh.
Cool I have the same camera on the S8 Premium. In case you don't know you can enter the calibration menu, but don't recalibrate if you don't need to, hit the "crop button" and adjust the image down so you don't have near as much of that fisheye effect in the left side image.
you all probably dont give a damn but does someone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost the account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Marcel Cyrus i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and im in the hacking process atm. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@Marcel Cyrus WTF IT ACTUALLY WORKED :O Literally got access to my ig account details within about 40 minutes of using the site. Thank you so much, you saved my ass !
So many wires, I wish I knew about wiring, I'll have to do some reading in my spare time to try and get a bit more up to speed and understand. That camera is bloody impressive, and seems pretty reasonably priced too? Good job 👍🏻
Your video is the only one I have seen, in all my research, that shows someone actually showing and using the remote control in live time! That being said, can you give me some insight on how to make my settings show up? I put the car in reverse like they said I'm supposed to, but when I use the remote, pointed at the receiver, nothing happens... I can't calibrate or change the settings!
You got me hyped with this video! "HOW!!!!?????" 🙂 I'm curious how you got the sensors with the audible alerts to show up on the screen. I assume that's a separate kit and Android app?
Nice video. I'm either deaf of low attention span. What was the head unit you used as I was wanting a F7 and was told it is not suited for this camera.?
Very nice good job! I installed a 13 inch android for my 2014 Range Rover Autobiography L405. Have you done it with a Range Rover? Going to buy one for my Range Rover L405.
My Atoto S8 head unit that I recently installed has the smarts built in, so I'm looking at the ATOTO AC-HD03LR 720P Rearview Backup Camera. It has the same VSV features. Pretty slick and potentially a very nice way to back up to hitch our utility trailer.
UPDATE: So i got this all installed today. I actually took an e92 boot handle cam, gutted the old cam housing, put this cam in its place. so it looks really tidy now. FYI - I connected both power cables to ACC..works perfectly. Reverse trigger to the reverse light (it is not using this for power, just a trigger so no need for a relay). my android comes on when in reverse with PDC and keeps the screen on (for 10ish seconds) after i change out of R. So its a perfect setup. and yes, this thng will show your car going forwards as you adjust your parking, if your screen remains on due to pdc etc. making it even more crazy to see in action. This thing is awesome.
This versions was designed to work with any normal video signal (NTSC or PAL) however this has been discontinued. Now the Atoto Androidb units have this feature built in.
Pretty cool but as other have said it is building the image as it reverses...jump into the built image after and it won’t see that I bet so might not recognise that errant 2 year old afterall! I wish I could calibrate the sensors on my wife’s X3 g02 that easy...it goes to solid beeps at 200mm!
It has a setting for a reset, which i havent played with yet. It does work forwards once you go backwards. But you would have to set the camera option on the xtrons to stay on when you go forwards. I hope that makes sense.
@@ZeroTo60Tube before i hit buy, let me ask it a wee bit differently. If i reverse, it builds the image awesome. I go into D move forward a few feet, then reverse again - is the image still there?
Sorry if I am just missing this from somewhere, which headunit is this? Thanks for taking time to review this unit, is there a 4 camera system you would recommend and maybe parking sensors? I noticed you might have something like that as an overlay. Thanks again!
I think he mentioned Xtron for the headunit. I hv asked Atoto whether it works on other than ATOTO S8 but the reply was no. But it seemed to be working here. So that's good news. I am planning to i stall it to my Teyes unit.
It already has seen the image as you reverse back the image that it has already seen is just overlaid so you can see all around you, there’s no G-sensor ect.
Hey. The wiring diagram for this shows it needs wired to ACC and B+. Why does it need constant power? Why not just ACC? any advice? did you wire it to both? Thanks.
I wired both. I’m guessing it’s so it can keep tracking and have its processor running when ever the car is on. It’s basically a computer so must need to boot and be ready to work instantly when put in reverse.
So I bought this coz I wanted it. Did not need it coz my reverse cam worked fine. BOught it anyway. Went to the car today and my reverse cam had stopped working.. frreaky... did I do that with the power of my mind???
I guess I can't use this for 4x4 overlanding then. I wanted a 360 camera for knowing where my wheels are at on rough terrain. Still pretty cool though.
so what if you're in reverse to park then put it in drive to fix the car angle then put it back in reverse; will it delete the image it already created?
5.25 min Don’t judge me...who knows it will probably stay like that 😅 Facts... it’s most definitely staying like that. Love your vibe! Great video as usual... Keep it up 👌🏼
ok, i bought it so I hope there is an option to delay the picture reset. If you can keep the pic on the screen (for 10-20 seconds) after going into D or P and then adjust parking this is witchcraft lol
Put some more thought in to this, if you run it off the cars PDC system you will be sweet. Basically if PDC activates the screen will show the camera, so you will be all be good. I might rewire the kit to PDC instead of the reverse too.
I'm thinking about buying this.. I currently have an A6Y w/ the reverse cam trigger wired to my reverse lights. Are you saying it'd need a constant 12VDC to retain the picture if I go forward (ie: I can't use the reverse light wire for a trigger anymore)? I don't have PDC, but I guess I could wire something like a delay relay.
Here's a game for all of the viewers to play along with while watching this video... How many times does he babble off numbers and letters? eg, I've installed my AT3-QP Camera into my Q3- XB-WYZ-QT-93. I really like the XZ-H3 harness that was provided for no reason, but it may come in handy on my WA-62 while I'm in Kalamazoo.
😂😂😂😂😂 in the US that exact term is used for the shingles vaccine TV commercial. "Did you know there is a vaccine for shingles? Whaaaaaat!!" Look it up and you will die after watching this video.
