Hey just checking in 8 months later, have you had any problems with this unit? It looks really good, and I'm keen to get one, but terrible reviews of Seicane on trustpilot and other places have me a little wary.
Seriously dangerous charger that is! I would not even trickle charge a battery with leads that are that thin! Complete joke these modern chargers. Transformer, silicone bridge rectifier is all that is needed. No earth on these Chinese heaps of crap, no wonder the west is hell bent on nuking China!
Let's speak honestly here this e53 is all about the V8 the sound the tone I have a e53 m57 done a stage1 tune and it's rapid but I'm going to be looking for this car a 4.6is because it's time now that I need a V8 beemer and the e53 is such a all round multi purpose car but my E39 2.8 would destroy that 4.6
I am happy to supply you a CIC unit, CIC screen from e92 and CIC controller for $400 inc delivery. It will plug in, it will require coding to your vehicle. Something that is fairly easy to do with ncsexpert. Everything in the unit will function apart from navigation. This needs to be activated for your vin i cant help with that. The other issue is bluetooh audio. If you plan to use that with a CIC it requires the seperate CIC combox, which is rare to find.
I have questions/ideas for Turbolamik programming. 1. Is there an H pattern setup available? It would be cool to have an 8-position H-pattern shifter with up and left being reverse, down and left being automatic, and the rest being a normal 6-speed pattern that engages gears 2-7 kinda like how a Koenigsegg Lightspeed does it. 2. Can you program the automatic mode in a way that it will engage reverse when you press the clutch pedal, but operate the clutch when you're in manual mode? The idea behind this is that you don't have to move the stick to go into reverse, just brake, be under 5kph, and then press the "clutch" pedal to engage reverse and you can almost control it like a GTA game or something.
I have some information to give. I believe if the stud bores are drilled downward deeper into the block and a custom stud is used it could prevent those cracking failures everyone gets when running over 1100HP with upgraded head studs. Add a counter bore at the weak point so that it does not see direct stress from the stud. A 12mm stud may have to be used and I would recommend them regardless! I came across these problems since I’m going to push 1400HP out of an N54. All these block modifications (custom studs, sleeves, close deck service) help in the pursuit of that and I’m even going with a ported N53 head for higher flow since I’m revving out to 9K for drag set ups and 8K for the street. Oh also running twin next gen 6266s from Precision Turbo and a BC stroker crank with a studded bed plate. Just my two cents on everything since most people can’t get over 1100HP without cracking a block!
You know this and i know this, the ECU is fighting for its life. Its all the aftermarket "upgrades" people are so gulable, marketing got everyone by the balls.
Very good video mate, question for you- Do you know if anyone does an adaptor for Ford Cleveland. Considering a 8HP 70 or 75 behind a 351 in an XY if i can get hold of parts needed.
Get yourself a Hakko FM-206 with the desoldering gun and the 140W iron. I know it's more expensive than you want to spend on an iron, but what's your time/hardware worth? How much is avoiding having to pull it apart to repair it worth?
My car is in Nigeria where it never gets bellow 25°C my trans is at a constant 180°F I took the thermostat out today hoping that would drop the temp. but it made hardly any difference temps are at 165°F what could be causing these high temps. ? transmission shifts strangly, it shifts from 2nd to 5th gear if you try to pull away lightly causing the car to slow down and will only downshift if you prod the throttle sharply. What could be the issue?
@ZeroTo60Tube No air to air cooler yet but I have plans to install one. Is 180°F normal for these ZF transmissions? That's about 82°C seems a bit high in my opinion.
No one. It takes a few hours of reading to get your head around setup and dialing these in. People shouldnt be paying for tunes. I've setup around 100 lamiks ish and been involved in another 200 on top. And i wont do remote tuning for others. I can't get it right with out being in the car to feel what its doing.
@@Elkurdi2017 hey there. Email 8speed.au@gmail.com if you want to learn how to do it yourself. Which you really should learn how to use them. People should not buy these if they dont want to learn how they work.
Some offices should probably lose their jobs, sounds like a complete farce. It is a no wonder their is such a bad youth crime in Queensland due to the way the police conduct themselves, going for the low hanging fruit instead of chasing criminals..... Also sounds like you might need a better lawyer to be honest...
Thanks man! Its been a journey thats for sure. Awesome to hear you got yourself a B58. They are brilliant motor and not to mentioned F series and G series cars those motors come in are much nicer than the older e series. I still love my e92. Probabaly owes about what i can buy a g80 m3 for.... but im still trying to understand work things out with the platform. I love the working things out part. Time for the higher $$$ end of the N54 builds now....
PDrive got a WN series 1 (L77 6 ltr with 260kw) to do a 5.9 over 0-100. The 6.4 recorded here is way off the pace for a series 2 LS3. 3 pax, surface, incline, traction control not deactivated (you can hear it pause for a good half second after the initial spin before it gets going again). I would expect mid 5s all day long here. The guy talking about the E200 or whatever, you are kidding yourself. Enjoy your euro barge, the Caprice will out drive it every day.
